Towncivilian
Clean your throttle body. Maybe carbon buildup is causing the plate to stick a little. Edited September 3, 2013 by Towncivilian
Kyle94
But the plate is steadily open when on the throttle? The pulsating/fluctuations I get are when I'm on the throttle.
Towncivilian
Does it happen when using cruise control? I would also try the following: Adjust accelerator and cruise throttle wires' slack (see FE-3 and EL-161 respectively, for instructions) Ensure throttle body return spring and the spring on the accelerator pedal are not binding and are properly secured Clean throttle body and MAF sensor (use throttle body cleaner and MAF cleaner only) Check intake tubing for damage / leaks Change fuel filter EDIT: Wow, this forum software is idiotic. It can't even handle my list. Edited September 3, 2013 by Towncivilian
ferrariowner123
Conversion to what? Newer front end? Lol. I thought about doingng that. But finding a newer pathy... And I didn't know if it was possible. Apparently it is, ill be posting it up if it is, and i just remembered, my hood is fading. oh well. -Kyle
Kyle94
That'd be sweet! I May just deal with the hood. See how your swap goes, and then do my own if it's not to much hassle. I like the newer front end.

ahardb0dy
But the plate is steadily open when on the throttle? The pulsating/fluctuations I get are when I'm on the throttle. Did you mean to say the pulsation/fluctuations you get are when your not on the throttle? If so there probably is build up on the edges of the TB buttefly, the butterfly is designed to let some air through when it is closed so the engine can idle, if the edges of the butterfly are dirty the small gap where air can get through would be restricted and air may not be able to get through causing the bad idle. Kyle94
No. It pulsates when I'm on the throttle getting the truck to move... Lol.
Alkorahil
Kind of sounds like a distributor or spark plug wires issue. Whatever it is, it is happeneing when the engine is under load. Check the FSM for the diagnositic proceedure for 'engine surging' and do the sub proceedure for 'under load' Edited September 7, 2013 by Alkorahil
Kyle94
That's what I'm thinking... I heard the bearing in someone's dizzy went out and caused problems. But I HEAR something inside the dizzy spinning around. Can't tell if it's the rotor hitting the points or not.

If they are worn to nothing it could be that simple.
96Pathfinder4x4
Might check that #6 plug. I had a stutter, then decided to do a tune-up...don't think it was EVER changed. Welcome to the R50 side!

fixinto
HECK YA MAN, GRATS ON YOUR R50, I have loved mine since i bought it 5 or 6 years ago. REALLY REALLY reliable. only thing i have done to it so far is throw a batter at it and valve cover gaskets, "well aside for the rear diff gear oil, and normal upkeep stuff" getting ready to do the front diff and manual trans fluid soonish, probably the next week or 2. "fluid transfer pump 18 bux is all i have to say about the diff oil" it will make you not want to cry in the fetal position....."just trust me on that" haha
Kyle94
Well, so far its gotten a total audio system rebuild. New "used" vg33er distributor cap and rotor. But still haven't figured out the pulsation/fluctuation. And i took it on a little adventure. My hitch acted as an anchor at one point and i almost got stranded. lol. I dug some earth out as i bashed around. damn low ground clearance!
96Pathfinder4x4
My hitch acted as an anchor at one point and i almost got stranded. Grabbed me once too... Always remember to pull your hitch when offroading.
Kyle94
Added some new to me wheels! Much better stance and look over all... But then i played around on shale, and lost a tire. So it's running the silly stock spare until i get a new one. Decided to play around with some editing features i found on photobucket
Karmann
Nice pictures, to be honest, can't say I like the new rims, but good to see it getting out there and being used! Neat scenery.
Kyle94
thanks! I dunno why. But I've always liked these wheels. Plus they give it a wider stance that I like. But not to much, they still tuck. Yeah. I love the woods in our area.
Karmann
I believe a buddy of mine actually has a cabin up in your neck of the woods, and out of curiousity, what's that little white car?
Kyle94
Cabin? There's PLENTY! lol. It's 1984 Audi 4000s quattro that is sadly going to the scrap heap this weekend. Sold a whole bunch of parts off it for 700$+. and im making money on scrapping it, it is what it is...
Karmann
Yeah he's a fan. And that's a sad loss of 80s design, though I'd never drive it, my dad bought an audi 5000 brand new and the glovebox door handle came off in a month. It was steeply down hill from there. River044road
I'll never understand why you try to drive a 4x4 SUV like a sports car. BECAUSE RACE TRUCK!
