I need to get it to the exhaust shop but it has been raining for the last 2 weeks off and on around here and ive been waiting on my 3rd passenger side window regulator so i can put the glass back in. BIGFINDERMAN
Lol. Do i get the award for the biggest 2 door pathy??
nismothunder
I'm not 100% but there was another guy sitting on military axles with a 2 door. But it had smaller tires then your 44s. His might of been bigger if he had a proper sized tire under his rig.
BIGFINDERMAN
Haven't had much time to work on her. Had to get on the honey-do list and keep the wife happy. I did get my front gears, install kit, new carrier, ball joints, warn locking hubs, and a few other parts ordered.
daver123
Wow your sas is almost the same as mine. That's awesome work bud. Out of curiosity what kind of travel are you getting out of your setup? I will have about 13-14" when all said and done. I never bothered to clock my C's back like you did, with the engine and tranny swap in mine the front out put shaft of the t-case is far enough back that my drive shaft angles aren't bad. I have been working on leveling out the panhard and steering link to improve handling. Have you looked into getting a drop pitman?
BIGFINDERMAN
Thanks man! You have a nice build also. I havn't flexed it out to get any measurements yet. I havn't had much time lately to work on it. I still have to get my exhaust done so i can actually drive it around and see how its gona handle. From what i have read, it is important to have the panhard and steering link angles as close as possible. Mine worked out pretty good. They are not dead even but they are close. I have done a little research on a drop pitman, but im not to worried about it yet. Once i get everything done and can get some street and trail time on it, ill see how it goes from there. BIGFINDERMAN
Finally got some free time to work on the pathy. I installed new balljoints and some different rear shackles. Then i got my wife's cousin to get his tractor out and do some flex testing to check clearances. I think it did quite well!

BIGFINDERMAN
Finally got some time to work on the ole girl. Got my exhaust done. I could never hook up with my exhaust guy so i did it myself. I ended up snapping a stud on my manifold flange and had to take my manifold off to get it out. In the process of removing the manifold, i snapped off one stud in the head. I felt lucky to have only snapped one. I got an extractor set from autozone and backed it right out. Hopefully i can get some work done on it over the christmas holidays. It isn't running very well at the moment. It is running rich and the idle is bouncing up and down. BIGFINDERMAN
Had a pretty productive weekend. Got my front driveshaft built and new u joints installed. Also installed new u joints in my front axles and put my new timing belt on. I'm pretty sure that driveshaft is going to bind when the driver side droops down. Probably gonna have to do a high angle or some kind of 1310/1330 conversion.
BIGFINDERMAN
Been working on a sway bar setup. I did some research on different factory bars and ended up getting one off of a 2000 wrangler. I wanted it to stay up tight to the frame and be able to disconnect and swing out of the way. Its tight with everything under there, but i think its going to get the job done. I have to find some disco's now that are the right length. Probably going to go with the new style rough country disco's. Edited December 30, 2013 by BIGFINDERMAN
Nefarious
Dude, that is slick. I am really digging this build. This is a very similar approach that I'm planning to take as well. Good job man, keep it up!
BIGFINDERMAN
Thanks man! The wrangler sway bar is still a little to wide the way i have it setup. On a wrangler its mounted on top of the frame and swings down, so the tires wont come into contact with it. With it like this, at full lock the tires rub a little. I plan on getting some new wheels one day with a little less backspacing built in to give me a little more clearance.
