slimer
So I'm a new member here, I have a few suspension mods, but thats not why I'm posting. I just got done with putting in new headlamps and it is such a PITA. Is there an easier way? 1. Took out the corner lights 2. Popped the tabs and unscrewed the front grille 3. Unscrewed the Headlights 4. Lost some of the screws and then found them again. 5. Exchanged the Headlamps 6. Tried to figure out how the tabs popped back in and figured it out. 7. Put everything back together. I know in my other Nissans you just unscrewed the harness and replaced the lamp.
88pathoffroad
Um, I've always just taken off the retainer ring and pulled the bulbs out from the back. There's enough room in there unless you have massive hands.

unccpathfinder
yea pop the retainers out...i usually have to pull the battery out to get the pass side b/c my hands too big to get in there...the retainers will only go on 1 way...the slots on the lamp and studs on the retainer are spaced differently (IIRC) so that it will only go on 1 way... once those are loose pull the bulb out the backside and fight with getting the bulb out of the connector and then put it all back together... slimer
Going through the font end wasn't too bad. The headlights tilt out nicely. Edited May 4, 2007 by slimer

slimer
It just seemed like it would be a tight fit to go that way.
RedPath88
I just replaced my RH light and as noted above, just pull the plug, turn and remove the retainer then swap the bulb/lamp and replace the retainer and plug

slimer
What do they say? Yeah, step 4 could have been eliminated, but working with cars always needs to be interesting.
