  1. Ebay set of 4 Any one buy KYB's off of ebay? im kind of sketchy about them, but i see every now and then a set of struts for $90-110. Sometimes a complete set (struts/shocks) come on there for $160-180. Are these really good deals, or should I just buy from a company (partstrain sells struts for $60 each). Jose
  2. If its synthetic it will say it on the bottle of oil. If it doesn't say synthetic, then it's mineral based. Jose
  3. I don't think he'll have a prob since he is back in his country, and not in the US of A anymore. Also, someone might have bought euro style lights for yours. But, most likely its some people just making a mistake. Google that shiznitt. Jose
  4. i'll respond. Responding. Feel better? HAHA. no, but what springs have you been looking at and how high do you want it to be?
  5. So then does this make that the first official SAS'd R50 DRIVING on the road? I don't know if Tyler has his done or the other guy (sorry, can't remember your name...). Jose
  6. yea, my wheel is way off center. I was just gonna adjust the tie rods till its straight, i.e. "tighten" one end and "loosen" the other side. till its straight. And vuala! straight steering wheel! Oh, and there is a way to adjust camber, its with the strut mount and coil hat. if you install them in different direction that f's up your alignment also. SO MAKE SURE THEY ARE STAIGHT!!! Jose
  7. I'm not sure if he was implying a congrats in the fact that you got it done quickly...considering... but anyway, get some pics up, man! Is it on the road driving yet?
  8. Everyone uses the stock trans...(well, almost everyone)
  9. Thats what I was going to say...er...ask...
  10. I thought it was 11/98...hmm....But I'm not sure either...or was it 1/99....hmmm....
  11. What I was told about this from someone is that when your system is off, then the flappers and stuff are not held at the position when their on. So, air can easily open them when driving and hence you feel the air blowing in. Not sure how valid this statement is, but it seems to make sense to me. Jose
  12. you should be fine. Whats the back spacing on the wheels?
  13. hows that diesl search coming any way? (sorry, not to thread jack) 4-link goodness...would that require relocating the spring mounting position also???
  14. Question. How can we make it better? I know an intake will help (got that). Some Manual hubs can help (every bit helps). Tires if you want to downsize (maybe 2 sets of wheels?). Will changing to a lighter weight oil help? Maybe full synthetic (so its not caking on the crank and letting it spin more freely). if you want to go hard, we could retard timing (or will advancing help more?) and go all out with a stand alone and lean it out more...hmm....maybe a new MAF?
  15. I ave. about 17. mostly city "style". Most I got was 21mpg. That was doing 90 mph on I-95. Worst I got was 13mpg. Still don;t know why it was so low, since I didn't have any load. Was just me...
  16. Any body ever seen these coils before for our R50's? The struts I'm sure are the same autozone brand things, but the coils caught my interest... Suspension Stuff Or even these... Iron Man
  17. Yea, don't you have to flip shocks for the 99.5+ models?
  18. OK, I'm replacing my strut mount, again, today. In this pic it shows that little sleeve thing. Does that have to slide on the shaft before it bolts to the mount?
  19. As far as I knew, we could use any shocks, since the mounts are pretty standard, right?
  20. Any one know where I can find all the specs to our suspension? I'm mainly looking for spring rates, spring size (i.e. length, width, coil diamiter, ect..) and same for the struts/shocks. Been looking but apparently I must be a dumb SOB not to find it... Jose
  21. Yea, doing basic things first is the best way. But it might be ECU related. It sounds crazy. Maybe your TC is bad?
  22. Which chevy rims are they? Ive seen those 5 spoke (the bif fat spokes at like sort of an angle) from a onld Tahoe on an R50. The cap could even be put back on to cover the hubs no problem.
