  1. Umm, I think he meant VG33E headers. In that case, the only company that has ever made some for the R50 is Stillen, but those were discontinued after a short run. SLR makes "offroad only" headers for the Xterra and Frontier 3.3, but they would not be a direct bolt up to a pathy 3.3
  2. 245 to the wheels? I think not. Stock 3.5 pathy is 240 @ the crank, factor in ~20% drivetrain loss, that equates to 192 at the wheels. So according to your calculations, with 245 @ the wheels, you are pushing 306hp at the crank, an increase of 66 crank hp with an intake? Once again, I think not
  3. If you want a coil lift, 4x4parts.com makes a 2" spring lift that quite a few people have. L&P Performance has 3" and 6" lifts out, but no one that I know of has ordered one yet, and no pictures are available of what the final lift looks like. As far as grille guards, the ones under $300 are few and far between. I have never heard of the brand that makes that $200 one, but it looks decent. I personally have a manik ($390). If you really want to make your rig trail worthy, I would suggest getting a winch mount bumper (instead of the grille guard), they serve as great front end protection, and you can (obviously) also mount a winch in one. No one makes a front mount receiver for our pathfinders, possibly because of the unibody construction. Some people are trying to prototype one though, last I heard. By the way, welcome to the forum, its good to see another colorado pathy around here
  4. exhaust, the muffler shop will just make a new one anyways
  5. If the suspension hasn't been dealt with by the previous owner, that will be an issue. Plan to get new shocks, struts, and rear bushings. Other than that (and the manifold leak, which is a much smaller issue on the R50's than on older pathys), there is really nothing specific to look out for. Just check out normal things, how its running, emissions, etc.
  6. Sometimes those editions are hard to tell apart. I have the peak to peak edition, and still don't know exactly what is different about it. I guess it just makes your more unique
  7. Or if you wanted a slightly wider tire, you could go 265/70R16, which equates to approximately 31x10.5.
  8. I'm running the stock unit, but its the stock Bose so I think its a bit better than the average stock headunit
  9. If you get the Bridgestones, be sure to get the dueler revos, everybody who has them raves about 'em. They're not too aggressive, but still pretty good offroad. A bit pricey though
  10. you should just do a google for 'katskinz' and see how many vendor websites trun up, then browse prices. I think thats your best bet
  11. I think the 4runner snorkel would be the right shape, but the engine airbox attachments would be all wrong. They have their airbox on the passenger side I beleive, and I'm sure the connection points on their airbox would be pretty dissimilar to ours. But it seems like a snorkel from an xterra or frontier would be at least a close fit, pretty much the same airbox, but different fender configurations. Only one way to find out for sure...
  12. Dang, its about time you started posting here! Seems like we're getting more visitors from AC every day
  13. There is a thread on that swap, it is a sticky in either the Garage or General topics. I beleive that it only applies to 95 and older pathfinders though
  14. I think statikuz is referring to the "bush guard" in the title, as opposed to "brush guard" Can't let immature minds get a hold of that one...
  15. Well, ARB makes a winch mount bumper for 99.5+ that is kind of like a bruch guard, just beefier. I think the main reason that push bars/brush guards/whatever aren't made to mount a winch on is strength (or lack thereof). They are made mostly for looks, and maybe to mount a few lights on too. If you could make one, that would be great, I'd be interested
  16. Thanks Yes, the one at 4x4parts.com is what I have, it is a Manik. And my pathy is an SE, 97
  17. Yeah, I can take a few pics of how its set up now. However, I don't know if I can get the pics I took of the modified skid, they're on another camera. I wont be able to get pics of the grille guard mounting holes, (just put the grille guard on, and its kind of a production to get it on/off with just one person) but I will take pics of the bolts and where they are in relation to the tow hooks and skid, etc.
  18. The only part of this operation that caused me trouble; the skid does not fit with a grille guard. In this picture you can see where the grille guard bolts overlap where the skid goes. I had to do some 'custom cutting' to get the bolts to go through the skid (that metal is thick!). But it all worked out in the end. However, Marcel, you may want to either notify customers of this or just slightly cut the skid to fit. It seems like it would only be a tiny bit of trimming at either corner to make it work. Maybe you could do it on a customer to customer basis. Anyways, great skid, great workmanship. Hopefully I can put it to the test soon here
  19. The old junk. Apparently, this H-bar looking thing is also protecting the front end stuff, not just the plastic splash guard. I never knew I had this down there until I had to remove it to install the skid
  20. Well i received "The Shield" skidplate from Marcel (Runnerman on this board) the other day, and finally got around to installing it. Here are some pics
  21. like I said before, I think it is minimal rubbing at full lock ( I beleive he said in reverse only). Several people on here have 31's, they might chime in and give an exact personal account
  22. I got mine at 4x4parts.com for a reasonable price. You could go there, but many people have had poor customer service when dealing with that company. You could also go to truckaddon.com
