yeah, the 96-99 have the plastic thingy up there also. I can take some pics of the underside of mine if you want, you can see if it will work
-
only 2000 and up? Think they would fit a 96-99?
-
here is a direct quote from someone selling some Titan rims a while back: "Will not fit a normal Nissan" So I don't think they would fit the pathy

On my 97, I did not retain anything from the original drive flange. I just slid the snap ring back on and then put the manual hub on. However, I'm not sure if the front hubs from your year are different enough to require different installation. Hope this helps

From what I've heard, Nissan tends to wire all cars the same way, they just don't include certain accessories on all of the models. For example, another guy decided to add power seats to his XE and found that the wiring was already there under the seat, he just had to hook it up. So I assume that you could do it, but you should probably investigate some more. However, the climate control is not all that great. I almost never use it, just because it doesn't work very well, I can do better manually. It almost always blows at full blast, and unless you turn it all the way to the coldest setting, it gives you warm air. Just my experience

Yeah, a haynes manual is infinitely helpful. Unfortunately, I did not do my struts, only the shocks. I don't have a spring compressor, so I decided to let pep boys handle it. I ended up getting it done for about 70 bucks, because someone screwed up and told me the wrong low price, so I held them to it But looking at the front struts, my guess is that it is an all day procedure, not for the non-mechanical type either

A lift kit would probably be a good idea before the bull bar. You would save some money that could be put towards something else, and it would definitely add capability to your truck. I'm assuming you plan to add a winch to the bumper when you decide to get it? cant go wrong there, but generally, most people would get a lift and some tires before something like a winch, and go from there to determine what is needed in terms of off road capability

I put 35 psi in mine and it seems to be a good all around pressure, helps out the mpg a bit. As for the E-AT button, someone asked this question here before, but I forgot the answer (seeing how it doesn't really apply to my pathy). I'll try to dig it up
-
so, even though
-
Well, sort of. That is a great price, but one of the main things I want when I upgrade my intake is a straight mid pipe. that is one of the advantages of the weapon-r and K&N FIPK. Thanks for the link though, I'll have to think about it
-
I don't know for sure, but I'd bet that the bull bar from the 96-99's wouldn't fit your year. The front end designs are different, and I'd bet that the mounting bolt holes would be just different enough to make it not work. But you've got to admit, the bull bar for the 99.5+ looks awesome, I like it better than the one that would fit my pathy. Too bad its so pricey

First of all, that website you found for the weapon-r stuff is overpriced, by far. And as for the bumper mod, I know about it, and I did a similar thing, just without the full intake. And the aeroturbine exhausts have garnered a good deal of controversy about whether or not they actually work. And why would you install 2 of them? Just have the muffler shop weld the two inlet pipes into one and get the 2.5" application. The only reservations I have about the weapor-r is the foam filter part. I'm still not totally convinced that it filters as well as K&N or others of that type

I found this cool, steep dirt hill once, and decided to through it into 4lo for the first time. Well, that feeling of low gearing torque and being so slanted that I was staring at the sky really did it for me. I still love it everytime I put it into 4lo, I'm sure you all can relate

Alternating between Soundgarden "superunknown" and Hendrix greatest hits right now.
-
well thats good to know, I have a few orders planned in the near future

I've been looking around at intakes, and the K&N FIPK seems like a good choice. However, they don't make a specific application for the R50's. But the Xterra engine is almost identical, so I'm wondering it it will just fit. Check out the attachment, I don't see much of a difference compared to our 3.3's. Any thoughts?

Umm...not for me

I got rear ended by a kid a few months after I got my Pathfinder, but no damage done. Then I got a hitch that stick out a bit, so I'm not worried about any rear ending now That doesn't sound like fun for you though, hope things work out
-
OK, I get it now. I guess the hubs would just have to be locked if you went into all wheel drive mode, I didn't know it was selectable.
-
hehe...saw that coming
-
They might work on a 2003, it depends if you have the all wheel drive or the part time 4 wheel drive. If you have the latter, it will give you the same results I got. If you have the former, don't do it, it will mess up the all wheel drive system. And your right, it does contribute less wear and tear on the drivetrain. However, the front end on R50's is built to take the normal wear and tear that occurred before the hubs, so the hubs are not a huge improvement in that area.

I'm guessing that those both are automatic transmissions, right? Mines a manual and makes no noise at all, but I have a clutch to push in. Specifically, you might want to make sure the exhaust manifolds aren't cracked, they have a tendency to do that. Otherwise, you can check the FAQ's or some of the topics in bold at the tops of the forums to see other potential problems.

There are many, many options. You do a search for 'intake' or 'exhaust' in these forums and see what you get. Pricewise, an intake will be cheaper. But for sound, an exhaust is the way to go. If you want more pull, you will eventually want to do both, but most people start with an intake. Like I said, do a search and you will find lots of info

What year is your Pathfinder? I'm pretty positive the newer ones (maybe '00+) have a chip in the key that can only be replaced by the dealer. I'm not sure on the older ones (like my 97) though.

There's a guy over on AC's board who is prototyping it, we'll probably hear from him soon. Apparently the largest possible tires will be 33-34, depending on what springs you have. Big enough for me! If you guys don't visit the AC board, I'll keep you updated
