  1. It's not too wimpy, I love my homelink So you did everything the manual says, but it still doesn't work? Thats strange. Kind of a shot in the dark here, but is your garage remote low on batteries? I noticed that when I tried to reprogram mine and the remote was low on batteries, it wouldn't work. Does the little red light on the transmitter flash when you hit a button? Maybe its a short circuit somewhere. Who knows, I'm not too savvy on some of the Nissan electronics Maybe the transmitter can't read the garage door opener entirely right. Did the previous owner have it ever work?
  2. The panhard rod connects the axle right side to the frame left side. It is located behind the rear axle, and the bushings fit into the ends of the rod
  3. no the 96+ pathys have struts up front, shocks in the rear
  4. Yeah, I was reading about how all dirtbikes (and many lawnmowers too, apparently) use them, so those have to be designed to filter harmful elements well enough. Also, I wasn't asking if they got dirtier quicker, because that would be independent of filter type, but it seems to me that an open cone type intake would gather more debris than the protected stock airbox. I think the weapon-r filter is a 2 layer (or something to that effect) so its not just a cheap, thin piece of foam that will allow crap into the engine. And it has to be oiled separately, which I hear should be done every oil change, so no worries there thanks for the info!
  5. How often do you clean it? Does it get dirty pretty easily, or is it not too bad? I'm thinking about the weapon-r intake, and that has a foam filter, but I don't to mess up my engine
  6. Trialsin- yes, a better option than lifting the rear would be the airlift bags, like these. New rear lift springs would make the car look funny when unloaded. Knightryder- yes, you could drop the rear an inch or two, but why not drop the whole car? I don't see the point in just dropping the rear.
  7. I don't have them in my car, nor have I seen them in a Pathfinder. The only aftermarket seat covers I have seen in a pathy are Katskinz leather seats, and it sounds like you don't want anything like those. You could always go with the classic sheepskin covers
  8. Does anyone have any feedback on foam filters (as opposed to paper)? Some people have said that foam does not filter well and will harm your engine in the long run, while others say that a well oiled and maintained foam filter will last just a long, if not longer than a comparable paper filter. And yes 88, I already googled it, but found as many sites supporting foam as there were supporting paper.
  9. I'm not exactly sure what you want to do with them, but I made good use of my driver side one. Check this out: air intake Cant beat the price for the performance I know DJ dank did something similar (he was one of the first to do this, actually)
  10. I don't know if it works on 95 and earlier pathfinders, but here is the write up of a guy who did that on his R50: full control of fog lights
  11. all I see is a red X...
  12. that's a pretty big rear lift :o . Your stock springs were probably sagging a bit (just like mine )
  13. Thats what i'm here to do! I would like some pictures, I'm always interested in stuff like this
  14. Check out this guys website:project Pathfinder Go to suspension and look at his detailed procedure for camber adjustment. BTW, the lift looks awesome!!
  15. No water crossings, but I have splashed through some mud. No problems. The way I figure it, the mud/water would have to go straight up the tube (which is also ribbed, making it even harder), then still have enough force to penetrate the filter and enter the engine for it to cause any problems. I just won't go WOT through any water, yada yada yada. Actually, I left them on for that purpose. I looked at the underside of them, and there were many, many scratches :o . I know they aren't rock sliders, but I say that its better for them to take the scrapes than my paint
  16. chech my cardomain page in my sig. to see some of mine. I have other (cooler) ones, but they were taken with a regular camera so I can't put them on the computer :sniff:
  17. Yeah, this is the Pathfinder off road association , so we're all a little biased (and crazy ). I take mine offroad, nothing really extreme, but i've done some hairy stuff. Mines a 97 SE
  18. I'm not sure what it could be (not too engine savvy yet ), but I'm sure engine replacement isn't the only way to go. However, for the cost of repairing your current engine, it may be easier to get the engine replacement. You should go around to a few mechanics and get quotes on repair vs. replacement, see which one sounds easier on the wallet
  19. Its been doing pretty well. But like with all mods, it's noticeable at first but after a while you want more power . I've actually been thinking of getting a Weapon-R intake with the Ram-air kit and hooking it up to my bumper mod, that should be awesome. Check out this site for a guy who did that:ram-air I'd say go for it. It definitely made a difference, kind of like the one you experience by turning off the AC, just a bit more pronounced. But yeah, I'd say go for it, it's a very inexpensive mod that gives great results
  20. Yeah, resonator is just to quiet things up even more. I haven't heard of any laws that require a resonator, it doesn't affect emissions, and unless you have extremely strict noise laws (even though the resonator doesn't make a huge different), you should be fine Let us know how it ends up
  21. Man, I just realized, we kind of post jacked, didn't we? Oh well
  22. yeah, the setting on 9 will rattle your bones If I remember correctly, it was mainly 97inCali who had major issues with the shocks, and that's because he took them to Baja and totally abused them on washboard roads :o . I hear blistein makes a very high quality shock, but they are a bit spendy, and aren't adjustable like the Ranchos.
