  1. feeling creative? Paint it so it looks like there is no body panels on it. Seats, engine, frams, etc.
  2. I still can't figure out what hose that is slick. You should only have an upper and lower hose of that size.
  3. kinda bright red on mine
  4. I was running 120psi instead of the 90 reco'd and using coils of 1 1/2 roofing nails. Got the idea while I was reroofing th ehouse and was playing with the safety device on the head of the nail gun. Accidentally fired one that ricochet off the chimney and scared the heck out of my neighbor who was up there with me. Obviously then, the goal was to determine how far we could shoot them.
  5. hey Pezzy... if you're bored, let's see it in hot pink
  6. drive it to the city, mask the windows, and sit a pile of spray cans next to it. Come back later and I'm sure it'll be painted for you
  7. like... target practice with 6P nails I discovered that I could shoot roofing nails across my creek from my roof.
  8. put some stripes ont eh side and an NPORA decal in the window and I'll take it off your hands.
  9. if you are just piggybacking an existing wire, consider these splice/taps
  10. hmmm.... nope... just gonna leave this one alone. no comment
  11. must have been a heck of a storm. Pezzy... a digital deer feeder is an electronic (digital) controlled hopper which contains grain or otehr stuff that deer like to eat. It dispenses at periodic intervals so the deer in the area learn where to come for a free meal and the inevitable 'BANG' as a slug pierces their skull (though I think baiting is illegal)
  12. just picked up a pair of 3/4 screw-pin shackles from my local industrial supply place (I have a business to business account so discounts and no tax). Got these for $14 each Working Load Limit (Lb.) 9500 Body Size (In.) 3/4 Pin or Bolt Dia. (In.) 7/8 Inside Width at Eyes 1 1/4

    awesome. congrats on your success.
  14. where'd ya check the spark? There are times when wet plug wires with too high resistance will ground themselves through other than the spark plug. FUnny thing is that when you pull the spark plug and check the spark, it's there... cause the wire isn't laying against whatever it was grounding against. My reco... check your plug wire resistance.
  15. nice. I was associated with DACSAR and MVSAR before breaking out on our own. Lots of good folks up there in the northern area too. I met a bunch at a rescue conference in Glorietta a few years back
  16. yea, I recall when I used to do the drums on my old Ford (ok, stop laughing), once I had teh tension springs in place, I'd grab the whole assembly and twist/wiggle until it seated properly. Usually got me plenty of clearance. Let us know how it goes.
  17. amen on trying to screw in a muddy shackle pin. If I used a straignt pin like that, I'd probably drill a hole in the end to drop a cotter pin or something so it didn't slip out before having the full load on it.

if youdon't have a puller, you can remove the bolt and gently tap the edges in various places to try to loosen it or creep it off the key and crank shaft. Mine came off fairly easy with a shot of PB and some smacking.
  19. I'm not sure it was actually ever called "forrest green". I have not found the specs for the 90's but the colors for 92 were the same as 91. In 93, a new list arrived including one called Black Emerald Pearl Metallic (not to be confused with Super Black or Charcoal).

The state inspection on my pathy is due in march. Anything that needs to be fixed to make it pass gets done in whatever weather march has to offer (and it usually sucks)

daytime is definately best to do the work unless you have a well lit shop. Working on stuff like that in the driveway int he dark is a PITA.
  22. in my opinion, the best solution is to get a wiring diagram and snip your connectors. I got my CD player for 80 bucks or so whiel the one listed for my pathy was near 400. Only difference was the connectors. snip snip, a little solder, double check with my volt meter and we're good to go. If you go completely with an aftermarket (that has it's own amps internal), you'll want to completely bypass the stock amps and run the outputs directly to your speakers.

shouldn't need any special tools unless you are taking the crank pully off (big-ass socket). Just make sure you mark your cam gear positions before pulling your old belt (and yes, they will creep when the tension is released). Flat scraper comes in handy removing the old water pump gasket. Keep track of the bolts as they are NOT all the same. Good luck. Come back and ask if you run into any issues, I'm sure someone in here would be glad to help.
