Mine dissolved. My Cardomain page - page 2

Born and raised in the northeast. My company sent me to NM for a few years because the people they had out there couldn't tell their butts from a praire-dog burrow Once the job was done, I moved back to my home area.

I found that nothing comes close to an original factory service manual. I always have that thrown into a deal when I buy a new car but for those of you who bought used... EBAY!

2 degrees this morning. My pathy warmed up fine but was blowing cold air. Checked the upper radiator hose and it was obviously pressurized so I knew my thermostat wasn't open yet. Piece-o-crap aftermarket thing I threw in there... anyway, I let her sit for a few more minutes and watched the temp needle drop off to nearly C and I knew that I was now circulating. Took another few minutes to warm enough to throw something other than snow out the vents, Total time was about 15 min.

The MAF can fail for a couple reasons. Bad connector (repairable), dirty wire (not recommended to try but you could clean it) or maybe it just went belly-up. The only situation that could be affected by a different intake is that you could suck extra crud and foul the sensor. If your aftermarket still filters, I don't see how that could be a problem. I'm very surprised to hear that a MAF has gone bad so soon. My 95 is still kicking (after I fixed the bad connector).

I run 5W30 in mine. Used to live in the desert southwest but now in cold and miserable northeast. Perhaps I should change. Anyway, check under your hood... literally. Mine has a sticker on the bottom side of the hood indicating the recommended oil weight for certain temps.

Fast blinker (like bulb is out), but none are

perhaps the wrong grade of blinker fluid? When was the last time you changed it? -
I wrapped a little electrical tape around the bar that the latch grabs. It was enough to push the switch a little farther and eliminate the problem.

There was a TSB on this that involved cleaning and a little teflon tape (I think). The cleaning of the guides has been addressed in the forums here before. Try a good search in the 90 days and older realm on seatbelt to see if you can pick it up. Good luck.

I concur. You could also doa little disassembly to get at the hose near the hatch and check to see if the nozzle is blocked by blowing it out. Good luck with it.

mine dissolved so I just cut away the connectors and made a new link. Works fine. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=2440

get someone to bounce yor front end while you have your head under the fender. You may be able to figure out the 'grinding'. As for belts, inspect them to see if the v-belt is shiney on the sides that hit the pulleys. If they are, or if they're cracked, replace them. If the belts look fine, it may be a pulley going bad.

someone just HAD to go there, didn't they? :D

time to break out the torch!

digital pics during removal will also help identify the location of stuff during installation.

got my 2 3"x30' straps. Though I never received an email from the shop, they arrived on Friday. Hmmm... When I called on THursday, they said they were on backorder. I wonder if another set'll show up

A little tricky to get out and in but not too bad.

Not sure of your actual question but there should be a switch on the console to turn the alarm system on/off. Remotes are easy to come by (watch ebay) and simple to program. Even without one, you can open the vehicle with the key and just listen to the alarm for a couple moments while you get the key into the ignition and turn it.

I've had my impact wrench at max with 120psi and not been able to loosen a nut before. Throwing on a big-hiney wrench and a 3 foot pipe and throwing a little weight on it easily did the trick. Of course, I have also snapped off bolts using the same method

Mine have not even shipped yet. I called their customer service and the story I got was funny as heck. Apparently, their intent for lowering the price so much was to blow out the stock that they had on-hand. In the short time they had the price so low, they not only got rid of their entire supply but have well over 500 outstanding orders that are on backorder. They had to place a special request with the company to get the items in so they could fill the backorders. The shipment is due tomorrow so they should be shipped within a couple days. The guy I spoke with had one of those "I don't friggin believe this happened" tones in his voice when he was explaining it to me. :D I'll wait patiently. Got a great deal and it isn't snowing yet. I still have my 30ft heavy equipment tie-down chain that I can use until they show up.

just throw some radiator stop-leak in the gas tank. That should stop those pesky little leaks. DOH!!! *just kidding folks. I'd hate to think someone actually would do this*

While it idles rough, pop the hood and grab the wire and connector on top of your MAF sensor. Wiggle and stuff and see if it makes a difference. A broken wire or bad connection on this sensor will cause your symptoms. Easy to check, Fairly easy to fix if this is your problem.

hehehe also explains why you are doing it yourself rather than paying someone else to. My excuse was that I'm a cheap bastard.

nylon stretches. It's the nature of the beast.
