ok... I'll spend my 2 cents.... There has always been controversy surrounding Jackon. In this case, children were involved. Nobody said that he drove around to schoolyards and dangled candy and alcohol out the window to entice kids to go with him. All those who stayed at his place (and I hear that there were more than a few) were there with the knowledge and most likely approval from their parents. Personally, I would never have let my kids anywhere near him but apparently there are those 'fans' who were so in love with him and his music when they were growing up that they trust their children with him. Shame on them. It is ultimately the parents responsibility to protect their children whenever possible (and I throw that in because there are times when it is not possible and the responsibility falls on some other institution like a school or similar). Anyway, don't blame the kids, they probably didn't know any better. Blame the parents for placing their children in a situation that was potentially dangerous. Blame Jackson for violating the parents trust and whatever children he violated either physically or emotionally. Is our court system perfect? no. Are criminals set free due to technicalities? yes. Do innocent people go to prison unjustly? yes. The legal system is based on 'winning' not on 'justice'. It's lawyer against lawyer and they are paid large sums of money to 'win' by whatever means necessary. Replace lawyers with investigators/factfinders and present the data to the jury. Eliminate the "in case such and such back in 1802, blah blah blah was determined to be yadda yadda so you have to do the same here..." crapola. Judges and jurys do make bad decisions, it's human nature. Let's not use those bad decisions as the basis for more bad decisions. I HATE F**KING LAWYERS!!!! (no offense intended if any of you are of that profession). I should say... I HATE F**KING DEFENSE ATTORNEYS!!! anyway.... here's another $0.02 as I feel I may have run over my initial fee. If Michael Jackson was walking across the street in front of my truck, my brakes would mysteriously fail. Oh wait... I'll say that I was so shocked by the hideous creature in front of me that I accidently hit the gas instead of the brake. Get me a lying, cheating, money grubbing defense attorney and I'm sure I'll be not only found not-guilty, but I'll get a medal for community service.

I wouldn't suggest grease as it coule eventually get onto your rotors. I smear a little RTV on the back of the pads under the shims. That absorbes the vibration but won't run.

I believe IIRC is a measurement of 88's brain cells. Typically, this number reduces with age and alcohol.

no, dang-it. It was an afterthought to post this and I took the pics for insurance-type purposes. I have the guy's address but I don't know where he got it towed to. Maybe I'll swing by his place this weekend and see if it's there.

I'm gonna see what the insurance will cover. I know a real good body shop. If the repair cost exceeds the value of the pathy, then I'll have to do much of it myself. I'm sure I could do a reasonable job but the front end is crooked now. I couldn't see any crease in the frame but if I look from the side, the front is definately got some twist to it. Worst case, I drop a few hundred at a shop to get the frame straigntened up then I head out to the local U-Pull_it junkyard(s) and see what I can find.

So I'm driving home in rush-hour traffic yesterday and I see someone about 4 cars up lock their brakes and slide sideways. Cars were scattering everywhere to avoid it as we were in the left lane of a 4 lane highway. The vehicle in front of me had slammed on their brakes as well and I was in full brake heading for the median which was kind-of steep and had a sharp angle ditch at the bottom. So anyway, I'm sliding in the grass heading nose first towards the ditch when the vehicle in front of me also decides to head for the grass. I had to choose between folding the front left wheel under in the ditch or making contact with him since I quickly ran out of room. Here's the result: started the repair process last night. I had to throw my tow-chain around a tree and pull my bumper away from the wheel so I could get the fender off. well... two good things.... Nobody was hurt and I killed a Jeep!

if both are wearing to the inside, you have a toe-out problem. Alignmen should fix it. I would also check the camber on the heavily worn tire. Sounds like that is out on one side. This can be caused by a broken or sagging spring (measure ride height on both sides), a bent strut or spindle, a mislocated strut tower or engine cradle, a collapsed control arm bushing or a bent control arm.

I've always reused mine. Once on my pathy, a few times on my honda and I had a run of blowing head gaskets on an old civic that had a warped head. I only ever broke one once (on the civic) and was able to buy it from the honda dealer. Since when do bolts wear out?
