nope. my boss wouldn't allow it. ALWAYS brand new tires on the semi and trailers. *reason* he had a couple of bad retreads and it cost him a tractor when 2 tires blew almost together and he crashed.... he said never again. He's an ex sheriff out of monterey county . sly

I actually used retreads a lot in England on my cars (saved tire money for my race cars NEW tires)..hehe and I never had a problem with them but once.. but it was no biggie... no blow out or anything.. for some reason.. I just wouldn't trust them here.. I knew the guy who did my tires in England.. :type:

and the sides.. I also have one on the back I got from DJD

I pm'd you back about my sticker... about $30 and I had the 3 (2 side windows and front windshield) made special at a total cost of $50

^^what they said...there HAS to be visible signs of oil somewhere.. check underneath.. it could be blowing up under your body/frame... but it has to go somewhere.... -study-

rolmao!!! so true so true! -bounce- (glad THIS little woman does her own work!)

this sounds really similar to what is going on with my pathy.. have you smelled the oil to see if there is fuel mixing with it as is happening to mine? is the smoke only at idle then burns the fuel off once you start driving? does your pathy stink of gas when you start it? My pathy runs excellent, but i am having similar problems without the oil leaks and excessive smoke after running... I changed my plugs and they looked good... when i check my "running" codes I'll let you know if anything comes up.. i would suggest you do the same to closer pin point the problem.. good luck.. keep us informed! BTW: I don't have the oil loss you seem to be suffering... What year is your Pathy?

Mine doesn't sit level either.. i think i have a saggy t-bar after i messed with them.. they still seem lopsided.. time to re-index... as for lifts.. i posted this recently... but here goes again: depending onwhat type and how hard you will be wheeling.. here are a few things i did that work quite nicely for less than $150.... JGC coils: brand new $70 Rancho 5000 series shocks (all 4) $80 t-bar crank: free time it all takes to install: 3 hours tools needed: jack, jack stands, BFH, coil spring compressor if you have one, ratchet, selection of sockets, wrenches, and of course, most important.... booze of your choice! -alcohol-

lol @ rabbit dropings.. yeah.. that will make the job a bit tougher.... good luck! pics!! yeah.. I HATE earthquakes.. now i live outside the bay area we don't feel them as bad here which is nice cuz i hate them.... dunno bout nadoes... cuz they don't exactly say "hey! imma 5.. here I come to wipe out your neighborhood at 2am!!".. i have been through hurricanes, quakes, tornadoes and plenty of snow.. i'll take the snow... maybe a hurricane or 2...

Oil dip stick; How to read the crappy thing?

if I put less than 5 quarts.. it's low. -
I feel for everyone who has to deal with road salt and rusty frames. I live in CA so the only aslt my frame will see is if I want to go to the snow or the beach.. and I refuse to take her to either yet because I haven't had the time to POR 15 my frame.. and until i do.. she will see nothing but a little off roading and asphalt. Fix your frames, then pay the $125 and get some POR 15.. I have used it before and it really does help/work. Good luck on fixing your frames.. GrimGreg just did his so he'd be a good source of info.

Same here except I have the roof rack..... I love my XE.. no need for lots of gadgets (hell.. they come standar with lots of them anyway)... I have 2 push bars awaiting installation for under $80 for the pair.. like B said.. if I ain't got some Smittys or even those new Wester-somethings from Pep boys to install.. then they amy as well be missing.. makes her look like higher ground clearance without them anyway..lol... I would rather build myself some rock sliders.... ALL PATHYS RULE!!!!!!!!!

just a stupid question.. do you wipe the dipstick when you first pull it out (god this sound sso nasty!) and then reinsert it for a mroe accurate reading? I do.... just cuz it always says i have mroe the first time.... -
