it dribbles a bit.. but what i do is tip the filter DOWN and have a rag under it.. haven't had any major spillages yet.. as soon as the filter is off i just hold the hoses upright and lean them against the fuse box until i prime the new filter. i figure a little dribble onna rag is soooo much better than the fight down below! and it is out of the way enuff where i can easily access all other items in that area.. including the fuel filter..fuel lines.. fuse box..etc *****I UNBLOT the filter from my lil "custom" bracket there before removing it from hoses.. so i can have it at any angle i want :idea:

i did it when i pulled the motor in feb.. dunno if it was part of my nightmare *coughs* i mean write up.. but i think there is a write up about the install from someone.. if not.. i can surely do one.... it was easy... and the bracket i have mine bolted to is all homemade.. nothin spectacular but VERY functional and easily acessable.. here's another view (i only hadto drill one mount hole as i used an existing hole in the fenderwell)

you're welcome Z.. if you were close to me i would have been more than happy to help.. we have a garage a mechanic would envy.. and i have "been there done that" job...lol.. $240 is a good price indeed! as far as the OFRK.. once you get the old filter out.. nice easy install.. just think about where yer gunna mount it up top as you don't want it flapping around loose up there here's where i put mine just for some ideas as far as locations go. if i can do it so can you! any possibility of you being able to pull the motor out? makes the job soo much easier... as for the stud.. there have been several write ups about tools, and extraction methods.. including my own experiences (i had 4 broken studs).. is your stud still "grabable" or is it snapped off level with the block?

why not do it yourself? and yes.. $1,000 is OUTRAGEOUS! my gawd! those who will touch it will try to charge you a fortune.. if it is 100% not possible for you to do the job then take it to an import mechanic who ahs done this... inexperienced places like midas..etc.. could EASSILY make matters worse if they have never extracted a broken stud or done this install before.. good luck.. where r u located? sssh

I have AF dripping outta my pipe..along with the lovely smell of gas.... blueish white..all the time... obviously worse when cold.. but stand behind it hot and you can easily get a head rush after 5 mins..lol :oops: i am still trying to pinpoint the problem.. but am leaning towards HG as the injectors would yes.. use fuel and stink.. but NOT cause AF to be lost internally and spit out the back... and my oil STINKS of gas... :oops:

if you tow.. you need torque. unless you race or just can't stand the thought of being beat off the lights (which WILL happen in 99.9% of pathys)... then get the other one.. but i say keep the torque n save yer motor a little extra work

it's all good.. i am not offended.. as i will be the first to admit there are some VERY VERY rude Jeepers otu there.. for instance.. i was the coolest chick on the block while i was wheeling my jeep.. as soon as i parked it and got in the pathy.. said person wanted NOTHING what-so-ever to do with me. his problem not mine. Jeeps and pathys (as pezzy said) have their pros and cons.. and i love each for their individual personalities.. that's what makes wheelin fun...

i assume you have checked all ignition related connections? checked yer battery? how old are yer plug wires..plugs...dissy cap n rotor?? alternator been tested? checked the t-belt? changed the fuel filter and filled her up with gas? sssh
