  1. i have a 50 series flowmaster with the thorley headers and a hf cat.... it has a quiet rumble at idle... higher up (over 1500 rpm) it has a nice throaty sound (not quiet but not super loud) and if you hit 3000-3200rpm then shift it has this wicked turbo sound to it and it rumbles down when you take yer foot off the gas.. i love mine.. quiet enuff to be polite.. and not drive you crazy on the freeway.. it is audible with the stereo off.. but not enuff to be annoying! loud enuff to get looks... but not from the police -bounce-
  2. :o yeah... definite pucker factor!
  3. well 88.. youda got some money from me already.. but you haven't got back to me with an address..... i don't have a pay pal account.. hell.. i don't even have a bank account.. so i need to send like a ghetto money order or something.. WAITING!!!!!!!!!
  4. cool. nice to have a quick fix friend around! and now we know M/T cables work in A/T's
  5. didn't we have a thread where we all agreed upon several designs?? I must search for that thread.. but i know we did finalize which tees we wanted and what colors.. so now we just find that lil thread.. and go from there..eh? -bounce- ooh.. lookie HERE: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=2673&st=0 oh..and I agree.. it is the "free" entry which attracts so many of our members... if the hosting is not so much it can be handled by us "regulars" to the forums...therefore not putting off any "casual cruisers" through the forums... as for personal donations... it will happen because we all know most of us would be skrewd without this site
  6. ya might wanna disconnect yer battery there while playing with coils...... sssh good luck! you'll do just fine! take yer time.....
  7. The o2 sensor was new (Bosch) installed when i pulled the motor in feb/march, and i cleaned the maf sensor bout a month ago... which did help.. but i need to figure out what's going on so i can get her to pass a smog test.. she failed at 15mph on the hc's.... BARELY.. but it was a fail.. asshat did leave her running for 30 mins before doing the test.. i am gunna go somewhere else monday and have a pre test done to see whassup....
  8. ok..I'll bite. Back in 2003 I had NOOOOOOOOO clue what a Pathfinder was...... I had my Jeep and was looking at 4 Runners.. used of course.. as a DD so I could give the Jeep a rest and make some wicked mods to her.... sooo.. I looked and looked, but all the 4 runners were way over priced... then a friend of mine said hey, you wanna Pathy.. almost like a 4 runner but cheaper.... so.. I go.. I look.. nice color, super clean... 114,000 miles.. new smog cert... $3600. I shook his hadn and I drove my Jeep to the first bank I came to and took her home. Took the Pathy as a back up when I would take the Jeep wheelin.. but one day decided I would find out if the 4 wheel drive in the Pathy was just for looks.. it wasn't. I wheeled the Pathy and she did great! So my love began.... After driving the Pathy for a few months.. ended up driving her more and more and leaving the Jeep parked more and more.. when I moved out here to hell I got the good ol ticking noise.. had no clue wtf it was.. started looking online.. found this place.. and WHAM! Fell in love even more. Sold the Jeep kept the Pathy end of story. amen
  9. :o don't beat me massah, don't beat me!!! *recoils in fear of the pezzinator*
  10. Starting from 2001 the Pathfinder received beautiful DOHC 3.5-liter 24-valve V6 engine (model VQ35DE, in the picture) also found in the Nissan Maxima and Murano. With ample power (250 hp with manual transmission), good low-end torque, advanced lightweight design and high durability, this engine, is one of the best in its class. Use of silent timing chain eliminated the need to replace the timing belt. Platinum spark plugs provide longer service intervals. If properly maintained, you shouldn't expect any major problems with this engine.
  11. :o that sux...... i was just tryin to find a pic of the 01 motors so i could visualize wtf is under the hood..lol.... well.. i found him the parts anyhoo.... and he knows next time get a 1st gen pathy.... sssh
  12. i have been nothing but newb friendly.... i was one once..not so long ago... ok. open the link. it has cyl 1 then below it is 2-6... without looking at your motor or having a manual for your motor i dunno... if nissan said 6 then that's why there is cyl 1 then 2-6.... as for you distributor cap.. here.. pics are your friend.... remember.. these pics are MY 92 pathy motor.. yours will be slightly different but relatively the same in parts placement
  13. ok. i can show you a pic of one on my 92 pathy which has the smaller motor and i think they should be in relatively the same location... best way to tell... do you know where your distributor cap is? if so.. the center "plug" wire, in the middle of the cap.... follow that.. it will take you directly to your coil, which should be a smallish square black box lookin thing held on by 2 relatively small screws. easy to change.. go to kragen auto parts and order one.. it will be a LOT cheaper than a stealership... i will look up online for your part and get back to you.. 01 LE you said... bb inna bit that was fast.. here's a link to your part @ kragen auto parts .. the price may vary a bit because i used my zip code here in cali... while you are there may i also suggest getting a haynes or chilton (i have a haynes) manual for your vehicle http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductList.as...&SearchFor=Coil
  14. I don't recognize the code.. but if you said it is ignition related.. and he was talking coils... 1+1=2 so ignition coil? as far as I know there is only 1 iggy coil... 6 would fry yer motor or electrocute a squirrel from 100 yards... now.. i have never heard of an iggy coil causing a vehicle to shimmy/shake as yours did.. but make the motor shake from low idle vibration.. yes.. quite possible. what year is your pathy again? auto or manual tranny? i am tired and lazy.... ok.. well look at that.. closed the topic and lo and behold it said 01 pathy... ok.. so i know very little about the newer pathys, but i am assuming all bar the larger engine and lack of a "real" frame it is basically the same... so.. lemme check on things for you..... ok.. still checking but a google search brought this up... http://www.nissanforums.com/showthread.php...goto=nextoldest and one for pathy's.... http://forums.freshalloy.com/ubbthreads/sh...8&Main=68029901
  15. -bounce- me me!! i'm currently unwanted and up for adoption!! and btw... i never got any moentary/vehicular backing.... my first car was a brand new 1986 nissan bluebird (England) that i bought with my more than hard earned wages at 18 years old.. come to think of it.. i bought my first house that year too... sssh my family have never had money so i was taught to appreciate every penny i had.. funny how that went out the window when my mom passed away 2 yrs ago and i had $45,000 burning a hole in my pocket... anyhoo.. now i am back to ppenny pinching but gettin by n payin my bills.. independence is a beautiful thing
  16. i think with body lift too.. rancho 9000's. i have the rancho 5000's but no lift other than the jgcc and cranked t-bars some peeps also love their bilsteins, pro comps.... there are several shocks to choose from ranging from $80 for a pair up to $150 a pair.
  17. yes.. we are all short on cash, including the 2 guys who made NPORA what it is... we are not asking for $100 donations.. just $5 or $10 when you can sort of thing. I know I am broke but I would rather give up a pack of cigarettes and send the money to help keep NPORA online then to be selfish and infest my lungs with the money. I could have never done what I have done to/with my Pathy had it not been for this site, and it feels like a family to me, and I would really hate to lose that. These guys bust their asses for us with little or no thanks, help us continually with our problems, as well as having their own lives. I now wish to thank them allllllllll again for their hard work and help.  2 seperate accounts as I said above seems a good route.. one for the site upkeep/modifications/upgrades and another account for mr jim/aron/event sponsorship/ and maybe even an online store for clothing and stickers?? If we can get our name on some sponsorship and clothing.... possibilities are endless.
  18. oh yeah.. i forgot to add.. if your clutch is new.. you can get a new t/o bearing for around $20-$30
  19. I can understand you were possibly hurt by our suddenly running to mr jims aide when you yourself were in a very tight situation recently, of which we really knew nothing about except your i'net got turned off.... and no one jumped to your aide.. i am sorry for that. I am always one for helping my fellow pathy owner.. i just figured money was tight so you let the i'net go .... i had no idea it was that bad else i would have sent you a lil "care" package. *big hugz* never be afraid to ask for our help!! hell.. you have saved our pathy's lives with your wisdom on more than one occasion (well.. mine at least!) and i would be more than happy to repay you for all you have done for us also.
  20. sssh howzabout an account for the upkeep of NPORA...then a seperate account to be divinded equally between you and Mr jim? say.. every other month split what's there in your "joint account"?? and have the one NPORA account for specifics like upgrading of the site and maintenance and what not? my .02
  21. :o ditto what pezzy said............ you gotta TELL us maaaaaan else we can't HELP YOUUUUUUUU *gives aron a big hug for not knowing*
  22. all around NPORA fund.... sounds good to me as long as we are told where our money is going.. I am good with it i.e: like right now Mr jim needs help with his Pathy.. the site needs to be cleaned up n upgraded..blah blah... -bounce-
  23. that was kind of the line i was thinkin.. sept i hadn't thought of pay pal... we could set up an account in NPORA's name.. but i think once the money comes in we should ship it straight off to mr jim so he can have some pennies toward his pathy and whatever else he needs... that way he's kinda got somethin to start with... i dunno.. so far everyone has really shown what this site is all about *wipes tear from eye* and it's AWESOME!!!!!
