yes. the pathy is more than worthy. i had a 90 wrangler with 6" SUSP LIFT AND 33'S when i got my bone stock pathy on 29's......... my pathy went almost everywhere the jeep went, with no problems. for an suv they are small and agile, with a low CoG, they have an advantage over the larger trucks. i should know..... this is what i wheel with .... he has 4 or 6" of lift and was on his 35's that day...... i pulled him out of a water hole when he got stuck. who wants to run over the neighbors house? that doesn't take skill. wheeling a vehicle that flexes like a pathy but can break if care is not taken is my version of acquiring skill. i have my 2 pathys.. and my bf and his bro (whose chevy that is above) have nothing BUT chevys in the backyard...... i am talking about trucks, blazers, duallies and burbs.. all pre 80's...... i use half the gas, can squeeze through more spots than they can and look great next to the big monster. ever heard of "the little engine that could"? sly

i think you are the first person in history to say doing a timing belt was "fun"........ I've done it 3 times and have yet to find it amusing..... interesting, but definitely NOT amusing. congrats on a job well done! -bounce-

yup. NGK's and some patience. #6 is a biotch but doable with, as MZ said, extension, swivel and suave.

damn. that sux. never seen a break there. but they have been known to break. MM had a cam break aorund the middle of the cam.

when i had my exhaust built it was on a hydraulic lift.... they took the new pipe (rear section) put it over the axle. then got the muffler and wiggled it up in there and welded away. nothing but the entire pathy was up in the air.... it was a snug fit they way i had them build it but after some finnageling..it all went together nicely. patience and persistence........ it'll go.

try threading the pipe through without the muffler attached (or has it been welded on already?).... if the muffler is attached, try turning the pipe and wiggling it until it goes through. patience and a BFG help *BTW* work from front (toward front of pathy) to the back

the exhaust doesn't go "over" the gas tank...... it goes alongside it.... likey this.... sure you have the right "in and out" set up.. or the muffler backwards?

and just what is wrong with "mall crawling"? jeeps do it all the time

sssh just a thought. although this is called NPORA...... a lot of our new members have not, and will never be going off road.... therefore i say use pics that people of all walks of life can identify with.. in other words. no heavily modified, unrecognizable rigs doing insane things..... and maybe (if 4 pics are used for example) 2 be on road/poser shots and 2 be off road... don't want to scare new members by letting them think we are strictly hard core off roaders here..... just my .02 -study- BTW: definitely has to be 88's and mr jims pathys for the WD's ps- that slideshow looks AWESOME! :cool2:

we have a 1 acre backyard FULL of nothing but chevys... i am sure we could hook you up with everything you need should you choose to go the chevy route

only reason why i would go chevy 350 over the vg30 is for the following reasons: 1. parts are cheaper and more readily available 2. you can get way more HP from a 350 block than a VG without spending stupid amounts of $$ 3. you can go carb'd or FI at a good price with the 350 4. lots of transmission types, adn t cases bolt up to a 350 (with the right adapters) 5. my GOD! have you ever heard a 350 with some good pipes on it????? :bow: :bow:

i am with MWS on this. if yer gunna do it, go the extra 100 yards n make it look that much better by spraying with a gun instead of nasty little cans. it will look better and last longer as he said.

sssh speaking of. i hear they been puttin the chevy tracker motors in the zukis........

a stock VG30 motor weighs like 350lbs. almost the same as a chevy 350. just because it has aluminum doesn't mean to say it's going to be lighter....... they added the weight in other areas..... i would go for the 4.3 chebby in the zuki sly

start with going with me.. my front diff is cooked in mini me (my '92 pathy) and until i get my plates for king caca (my91 pathy) i an runnin strictly off LSD and transfer case for help..hehehe....adds that "excitement" factor to things.. really sly and when i say run it in your driveway. make sure the pathy is WORKING TEMP before you let it sit......

the only thing you'd be "testing" is your transmission. just let it sit in your driveway for 15 mins running....... that'll soon tell you if it's going to overhaeat or not. sitting heats the truck up faster.. it's nto getting any air to cool teh rad so if it's going to over heat. it'll do it at idle in the driveway

well. my advice... don't keep taking the cap on and off.. it lets the pressure out.. and air in... i dunno how the 99's are. but if i keep doing that to my 92. she gets all "gassy" and i have to burp her again.. vurry fussy she is. glad you got the issue fixed :cool2:
