  1. My truck is 2004. Thanks for the info. YunuY
  2. Update: Ashtray also turn on as the same condition as glovebox light. But can not tell if the light in on when ashtray is closed. YunuY
  3. HI All, I was driving last night and found out there are lights coming from the sims of the glovebox. To my knowledge, the light will only be on when the glove box is opened. I have tried and found out following: -Empty the glove box, light still on. -Turned off the headlight, and light in glove box will be off. -Turned the headlight to auto, light in glove box only on when the outside is dark and headlight is on. -Turned the headlight to on, light in glove box will be on. -opened the door, and open the glove box, light is off. So basically, light will be always and only on when the headlight is on. Should there be a spring like switch somewhere on the glovebox door panel like the one the for car door that trigger the interior light when door is open? Please advise. Thanks YunuY

    Coolant leaking

Just checked, there are few drops under rad, problaby left over from when replace the rad. So I am going to wip it clean and check on it. It is probably my illusion, with the new rad the gas pedal and engine sound better than before YunuY

I feel it is the hairline fracture too. Just that I found that it leaks from 3 different location under the rad. I told the tech from dealer that check if it is cause by accident or not, and the result is no trace of impact. And all the leaking is from seams. So it is good. saved 635 under warranty. YunuY

Update: coolant leaks last night and this morning. Took to body shop, did not do anything. So I took to the dealer next door. Within 1.5 hour, works done. They replace a new rad under warranty. from the invoice, it shows leak from seams. Tech told me that it will still leak for 20 to 50 miles. And should be no leaking after that. I will keep checking . Not sure if they burp the rad, I will do that anyways. YunuY

UPDATE: Let the truck running for 20 mins after set in working temp. No major change in the tempature, only very small move of needle at 4th line of the gauge. YunuY

Just want to know if I have done it correctly. I have found the burp vavle for my pathy, it is called som ehting air relief plug. Anyways, I remove the plug, turn on the truck, saw clooant flow to the top on the tube and stayed there with little dripping out, and small white bubble appears, and gone. And I plugged the plug back as I did not see any white bubbles. Should I turn off the truck before I close the valve that doesnt matter. As for testing, I wake up late today, I will do it on my lunch time. Thanks YunuY

hmm, I will let it running for 15 mins tomorrow morning. In the other words, idle for 15 mins is about the same as driving 70 or 80 mph on freeway? YunuY

opps... I'll stop open the gap again. Btw, how do you know it gets all gassy? Also if the overheating is fixed, can I test it by driving in 1 or 2nd gear to test it out? And if it is fixed, the temp should not go up right? Any advice on what rpm I should keep at when test in 1 or 2nd gear and for how long? Thanks YunuY

I also suspect that in the first place, as it starts with leaking form the sims. But it was gone afterwards. And no more leaks when it is cold afterwards as nothing was on the ground. I am guess probably some dirty stuff sets down and ceal the leaks.

Hi Slick and mzxtreme, Just got pathy back. Per Shop, they remove the air bubbles. I opened the hood, all the coolant residue in side the hood are being wiped clean. Engine oil are clean. As for coolant, coolant level at expandtion tank before start the truck is above max line and level at half of the MAX letter. Open the rad cap , see the trace of the coolant. I started the truck and drove back to the office, about 5 miles freeway drive, set AC to 60F, drive about 60 and 70 miles, temp gauge needle barely touches 4th line. Check the level of coolant at the expandtion tank when I reached office, it is leveled at top on the MAX letter. So I will check the rad again before I left work today. I will also find some uphills and test it out later in the week. Thanks YunuY

I will keep you updated. How do I know if it is water pump fail? If it is the water pump, I will need to go through dealer as I still have one year of warranty. Hope it is just air in the rad. Hated insurance and dealer. YunuY
