This is something of a long shot but look here at 'front end clunking or squealing'. Yeah, I know its about the front end, but I have been fooled about where noises are comming from many times. Just something else to check while you are under there... http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=28 These sporatic strange noise things can be hard to find. Sometimes it is something someone hears and says, 'oh, thats your ***' and sometimes 2 years and 5 mechanics cant figure it out... GL and keep posting Bud !! B

The WD21s have a pilot bushing not bearing... I'm not sure about the R50... It can be a PITA to get out without the right tools though as it is an interference fit, flush with the face and in a blind hole... I bought a new one when I did my clutch. I measured the ID of the old one without removing it and it was precisely the same as the new one so I said screw it and left it in... Definitely buy or borrow a tranny jack !! I rented one and used it for 2 days; cost the same as buying the HF mws mentioned... I couldn't get the tranny lined up by myself when reinstalling and needed a buddy to help, maybe you'll have better luck... B

I'm not sure whats in the 'dealer package' but yes, it's a good idea to change all fluids as recommended and stay on top of the timing belt and tire rotation, etc... I prefer having a reliable truck... B

For the coolant, My guess would be the heater core or the hoses that go to it. The squeal I'm not too sure about. Brake pads ? Caliper slide pins (Look in the garage tech section) ? Maybe just a rock or something wedged in ? Pull the tire and check it out... B

My advice Bud is to forget about it... Your truck looks sweet and isht happens. Get too anal about it and it will make you tense. It's not worth it in the long run... Go wheeling and hit a tree or two, that'll calm you down and give you something to fix... B

Yes k9sar and yes wheelman. Personally, I dont care what it based on, just that things are done logically from there... Factor 10 is easy to work with because our simple math is based on it; why not use a measurement system that is the same ? The standard (american) units are totally out dated and senseless. Take drill sizes for example. You have fractional, letter and number drills. This is because different industrys refused to cooperate or standardize their measuring units out of spite or initial cost. The result is a drill index that has gaps in it up to .03-.04". As a tool and die maker that has regularly worked in microns or ten thousandths of an inch (and lower) I can tell you that's insane ! Standard metric drills are every .1mm or aproximately .004". There is always a drill size close to what you need and if you need closer, it can be easily ordered. When I had my machine shop I ordered everything in metric... About 20-25 years ago there was a push in the US to go metric; I saw the sense in that when I was 10 !! Big industry (car manufacturers mainly) stopped it by complaining how much it would cost to switch over. Now, any company that wants to be globally competitive uses metric dimensions and fasteners. Duhhh !!! As for the people who complained that it is too hard to learn, WTF ??? You got 10 fingers and toes dont you ? Learning the names of the units is too hard, yet you can recite the Dodgers pitchers stats ?? WTF. It is simple resistance to change... American Standard is lame, problematic and out dated. Metric is far easier, makes more sense, and more cost effective in the long run in several ways. Yeah, it's a bit of a rant, but this is something I have had to deal professionally for 15 years for no good reason. I welcome any arguements; I'll squash them like a bug... B

Yeah, thats pretty much the ticket... Jack up that side of the truck also and remove the wheel... It's a straight shot in like that. Motor mounts shouldn't be expensive so a stealership would probably be ok, but you can prob find them cheaper on line. Try here http://www.maximumautoparts.com/NI_cat.html and here, I've had good luck with them... http://www.nissanmart.com/ I looked it up at the last link out of curiosity and Holy Crap, they want $110 for a '95 engine mount ! Thats where I found the cheapest OEM clutch parts... Better look around, but I think it's gonna cost you. $110, thats outrageous... GL Bud B
