Hey VW, I don't have any suggestions but am curious to know if you tried both boxes? Do you get the same result with either box?

If I must tell the story! Going fishing pulling a small alluminum boat. approaching the red light the boat passes the truck pulling it. Some bonehead didn't lock the hitch. The tongue hits the curb and bends 90 degrees. We walk it to a Pizza Hut parking lot and try to straighten the tongue w/ the help of a light pole. Tongue breaks in two. Solution attach the two pieces of the trailer tongue to a 2" dia. pipe approximately 3ft long. Do you JB weld or Duct tape the trailer tongue to the pipe? The duct tape will hold for approximately 1 mile! I will save the rest of the story for later just to keep it interesting. Duct tape beats JB!

Got in a fist fight over which is better. Duct Tape or JB. Everyone knows Duct tape is better.

No not at all. The Auto tranny is the logical option. Dr. gave me Celebrex for swelling and Cyclobenzaprine a muscle relaxer. The Celebrex was working within a couple of hours. I could feel the pain subsiding. Last night took two muscle relaxer, didn't need them but it was legal. You have to take advantage of these opportunities. sly Slept really well and feel like Superman today. Just some slight tightness in the leg. In the Pathy I moved the seat way up so I don't have to extend my leg fully to engage the clutch. That helps a lot. Now the steering wheel hides the top of the Speedo and the Tach. I catch myself driving to slow. Getting old is something you have to be good at. I'm not that good at it!

Sam's club usually is few cents cheaper. Installation is always cheaper.

Last May I hurt myself cutting up with the kids. This caused me to have shooting pains from my lower back down to my left calf. Being somewhat tall and really lanky lower back pains come and go for me. This one never went so the Doctor got to meet me today. She says it's a pinched nerve. gave some some drugs for pain and swelling. She didn't sound to encouraging and flat out told me the NFL career dream is over. She did say that the swelling should eventually go down but would likely reoccur when aggrevated. For the moment, the sharpest pain is when I press the clutch and look left. That hurts like a mother. I'm looking at the clutch and the accelerator and beginning to think it would not be impossible to switch the two. It will be a lot easier for me if I clutched with the right foot instead of the left. Has anyone ever seen this done on any car before? I've seen handicap drivers who apparently had no foot controls. It does sound dangerous if not professionally done. Might be fun to park it in a lot popular among car thieves and video tape them attempting to steal it. It would also insure Wifey will never drive it. All kinds of advantages.

I took the same short-cut your buddy did this weekend. I went on the conservative side and put a screwdrive in each hole and tighten to a mild grunt. No tapping with the hammer. This short-cut may have the opposite affect and allow the lock nut to back out. This is a stupid question, but you did turn the rotors right?

I'm surprised not more people are saying Isuzu Rodeo. From the back the tire carrier opens opposite. otherwise pretty close. There are a ton of Isuzu Rodeo's in south Louisiana. Maybe not so common in other places?

I used two screwdrivers. the holes are opposite one another. just turn left, it's not tight. That is on an '87 or '92. '95 might be different

The problem could have mostly been ignorance. Lifted on 4 jacks. engaged 4wd. Both passenger side wheels spun. in the front, both drives were spinning, but only one wheel. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but only one wheel can spin at a time? the wheel with least resistance is wheel that spins? I was afraid to put resistance on the spinning side. not a lot of confidence in the jacks.

My bad yes just unscrew it. I thought you meant that it broke off at the threads. You can get 'em for just about free at the j/yard. What year is your truck?

The one I pulled on a '92 the front fender had to come off. It has a aluminum sleeve on an angle that prevents it from straight out.

Everything is back together now. Even switched tires and rims from the flooded '92. They look good but need a wash. I've encountered a problem. The front wheels do not engage in 4wd. 4wd Light does come on but tires won't spin in mud. There is no irregular noises, but afraid to drive knowing something not quite right. I will take the hubs off the '92 to see if I can figure out what I put in backwards. If anyone knows what to look for first please holler. What is easiest way to check 4wd. I have two jack stands and a hydraulic jack. i may go get another set of jack stands and try to test 4wd on the carport. Cleaner. Again thanks for your help guys.

I don't know why I have so much trouble getting the wife to help me! Anyway she's back together now. Had to socialize with some folks who invited us for dinner. All that left now is to replace the old pads. Hopefully we will get some rain tonight for the test drive!

Got the rotors about to go to work. I want to hit all the grease fittings on the front end with a shot of grease. Do I just give it half a crank (sorry Mods didn't know you can't say c_o_c_k_) on the grease gun. Do I need to worry about overfill or damaging any grease seals?

Going well so far. rotors are off, wiped all old grease pretty good. Brakes were almost gone so took rotors to tire kingdom to have turned. Kids were with me so we walked next door to Sonic got some shakes. 45min go by not ready. He did say they had enough meat so didn't need new ones. drove to Advanced Auto picked up some pads. Now I'm back at TK again wait another 30min. 2hrs since they were dropped I ask how long. He say "TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH we are having trouble with the machine. It will be another 90min. I agreed to come back in the AM. Didn't want to wait for another excuse. I can't stand people who start the sentence saying "To Tell You The Truth". I immediately question their sincerity. Hopefully they open at 7am tommorow I can get them back and not forget how I took it all apart. I might be posting tommorow if i have any probs. BTW. I have never greased bearings in my life. If it weren't for the How-to's on this board and all the helping hands I be paying Tire Kingdom $300+ to do it for me. I should be saving close to $200 bucks. linky My only advice when removing the original leave the nut on until you pull the steering wheel loose. Ask me how I know :furious:

There's a pretty extensive how to in the Garage section. This is what I asked for at the J/Y. It wasn't a u-pull-it, so I never saw the jeep. The lift was noticeable, so it must have been from the right model. Make sure you specify V8, It's been said V6 was an option and the springs are different.

Mythbuster says actually a negative result in mpg. went from like 24mpg to 18. I forgot what kind of car. Like a 87 buick or something similar link to mythbusters
