Make him do manual labor to make up the difference....need a new roof by chance?

I didnt even know that the r50's came with VDC/TCS...atleast mine does not have it....if it does its broken

You could go with a full hydro setup to get rid of the steering box and all that crap. That would allow you to push forward the axle more to help alleviate some of that angle on the front ds. Full hydro may not be a good setup for dd'ing but for a weekend wheeler I would have no hesitation to use it.

I can answer the awd question....as far as I know he was having an issue with his tcase since its aa atx14 with the all mode. You should be fine, Rod since you have the tx10. The other thing that I saw with your sas gpg is that front driveshaft angle that you had. It looked to be pretty extreme, is there any way that you could possibly push the axle forward? It would for sure be easier for you to do this, rod since you will be going with a linked set up...just make the links longer and all you would have to do is find a way to mount the coilovers. In gpg's situation since he is leaf sprung its alot harder to locate the axle further up since he has to have shackles up front. It wouldnt be an issue if thee r50 had a frame Edit: The trend I have noticed is that most who have gone our route (2in lift, then sfd) have eventually gone ahead and done a sas. (tmorgan, gpg even tho he didnt have a sfd, and now you rod) Maybe I will be lucky enough to get the skill to do one and the funds aswell. Until then I will sit back and watch and tune in if I have ideas

Yeah I was saying that a 3rd member from a newer gen r50 would fit in an older gen r50

My 01 auto has 4.3's and an lsd, infact any 4wd truck with 4.3's and a lsd should swap in just fine. Shouldnt matter what year it is, all the same axle as far as I know. Someone correct me here if im wrong.

God man, that looks so freaking mean Edit: Have you been able to flex out and see if you have issues with clearance or not?

Steering Wheel Controls/ Airbag Light/ Horn
01silvapathy replied to 01silvapathy's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Nope, have not yet found the right bit to get the wheel off. I think that what im going to have to do is find a t45 size torx bit and then drill out the center to allow the bit to fit into the bolt to remove it. I also dont have the money at the time to buy a new clock spring so its going to have to wait awhile til I find funds then I will tear into it and see whats goin on. And there is no way the airbag will go off, they take a special signal to go off, and what you have to do is un do the battery then unplug the actual airbag and there is no way it can go off...atleast im pretty sure thats how it works. -
Dudeee that looks killer!!!! Def needing to see a few more pictures

You can get the camber bolts for 4x4parts.com. Speedo varies when im doing 70 im really doing 75 soooo yeah just have to be careful. Speeds under 35 its pretty accurate.

Steering Wheel Controls/ Airbag Light/ Horn
01silvapathy replied to 01silvapathy's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Yes, you have to remove the airbag and actual wheel to access the spiral cable. It takes a t45 torx bit with a hollow tip to take off the airbag. Ill link a video from youtube that has pretty much the same process for taking it off as well as link a clock spring from ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/03-04-Nissan-Pathfinder-driver-air-bag-clock-spring-/350326952204?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item51911d110c -

01silvapathy replied to arcano's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Sorry to hear about the old, it was a killer looking truck dude! But ya you will love the new one and esp the VQ Id def go for a sfd if you have the money to do it, one of the best upgrades I have ever done to the truck...as well as the JWT Pop Charger, it wakes up the VQ. -

Yeah, I broke the clock spring. Its fairly easy to take it off and replace it, just need a torx bit and a screwdriver or two. The new clock spring costs around 60 bucks on ebay. I just dont have the money at the moment to fix it. I need to do other things like strut bearings first. -
Any aftermarket header options for the 3.5L?
01silvapathy replied to WOT's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Not that I know of, you could attempt to retrofit headers from a 350z ect but I have a feeling you would run into clearance issues. I dont even know if the ports would line up or not. -
Go to the vendors section, there is a company called krypton fabrications...you can get your kit through them
-
Im running 285 75 16 a 32.8 brand new and 11.5 wide. It barely clears the struts with stock wheels bs being 4.25 and a 1.5in wheel spacer.
-
I have had no rear sway bar for 2 years You should join the club.
-
I will get out a tape and measure when i get a chance, im feeling alot better so I should be able to get out and start taking pics and working on a drop pan hard. Since I looked my axle is being push and as a result with my larger tires (11.5 wide) my tire rubs on the side of the shock when I flex out the axle....soooo thats the next thing to fix. My rear spacers btw only measured around 3in

Sweet man, looks great!
