  1. Yall are a BUNCH OF LAZY BONED HIPPIES Just crawl under there and do it the normal way, like everyone else does
  2. My actual mount is bolted down with a torx bit, and the lights themselves need a deep well socket to be taken off and the wires would probably need to be cut since they are all connected inside the mount. So it would have to be someone who knows what they are doing and have a good set of tools around. Not to mention my truck is parked in a garage every night and it would look weird in a parking lot for someone to be climbing on a roof unbolting stuff. But nothing much is there to stop them.
  3. Which is why its called an opinion.....
  4. Not to be rude or anything but I always thought off road lights always just looked out of place on a stock rig. But as long as they serve a purpose thats reason enough to have them. Edit: Have any reflection off the hood and how did you wind up running the wires into the cab?
  5. Dont listen to that, you will be fine with stock wheels....and as ty said you can always pick up a set of wheel spacers for like 80 bucks
  6. Yeah that was probably my greatest concern over the whole lift, simply because its such a critical part. But we did come up with a solution to the problem utilizing parts from the honda joint and the stock joint. I will be able to better explain it with pics lol. But the joint is strong and stood up to its tests and took em like a champ! Let me know what measurements you want and ill try and get them....but the shaft is def not coming off. Too much of a hassel to do in my garage, maybe next time im back at the shop I will.
  7. I will try and take some pictures for you tomorrow, Tyler. Basically the joint that Alex sent did not work out the way we needed it to. So we wound up having to customize it ourselves to get it to work. Its still plenty strong, TIG welded with stainless.
  8. What do you mean by this? Like they are going to make bigger strut spacers?
  9. Yes it was me, I have only had the struts top out once or twice since the lift as opposed to pretty much everytime that I drove it with the 2in lift. Check around there is plenty of info all over the site about the SFD. Link to KRFabs Kit thread http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=27981 Link to the SFD Discussion thread 20 pages of info here http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=23821 Link to my install thread w/pics...everything you need to know about install of this lift. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=28342&st=0&p=536836&fromsearch=1entry536836

Canada -Shift220 (Andrew) -New4x4er (Rod) -Tekazgtr (Ty....he has his lift, but I dont know when he is going to install) Other Places -DanAk
  11. I think where we got messed up was with rigid and articulation. The camber bolts dont affect articulation, but they do affect the angle of the spindle per say...which then affects the angle at which the tire contacts the ground.
  12. Yeah but even with adjustable camber bolts, the strut is still "rigid"
  13. Im going to have to go back and have a chat with these fellas. Gotta get my camber bolts back and straighten things out with them.
  14. The bolt is rigid, you turn the bolt in the strut to adjust the camber and then tighten down the nut to keep it in place. Who ever said anything about ball joints? The only thing I was asking on is the number of adjustable camber bolts if it should be two or one in each strut...thats all.
  15. You do know what the purpose of a cam bolt is correct
  16. Okay so this may be a really stupid topic and question but I got some interesting info the other day. I took the truck to get an alignment at NTB the other day and the manager there was startled by the fact that I had two adjustment camber bolts in each strut. I told him that thats what the company who makes the kit calls for and it had not had alignment issues before. His whole arguement was that the bottom of the strut needs a pivot point and that the adjustable bolt does not allow for that. So I asked him if he thought that he could get it in alignment with what he had and he sad yes. So they took out the bottom bolts and put in stock ones, they got the alignment pretty decent but im going back to get it re done because he thought that he could get it better once the suspension had "settled" cause they took off the wheels and when you do that the suspension sags and puts the wheels at a weird angle. So I need to go back and get that fixed, ontop of a stud they had to cut off since they ceased on a lug nut and messed up the threads. My father was with me at the time and insisted the work was done then and there so I didnt really get a chance to argue it out. This is the same guy who told me that the free wheel hubs dont stop the cv's and front ds from spinning
  17. I already have plans for my bumper, just sucks im not at school this semester where I have shop access to build one
  18. Nope, there are no aftermarket fender flares available for the R50 at this moment.
  19. So I tried this afternoon to get the tire up there...the issue is that the tire hits the body where the panhard comes down. My spare is just over a 31 so yea dont think your spare will fit, Rick. So I just took out the stock chain hoist thingy since its ugly and got rid of it. Old Chain hoist delete mod Rockin the back like this til I build a bumper
  20. Well I still live in the house so I guess its their rules. But hey I get to have homecookin!
