  1. Carroll Shelby got paid a lot for endorses it, so it's gotta be good!! I have never tried it. Seems like a snake oil to me. I have used Royal Purple in several vehicles through the years. I have yet to have issues with it. RP does most of what it states. I'd just go with a reputable lubricant or do a little more research. Look for the good and the bad and believe 10% of what you read online.
  2. I never think about putting anything in mine. I keep my change in the little cubby on the far left of my dash. The rest of my stuff is im my glovebox or center console. Maybe I should start smoking...
  3. take both shocks loose, disconnect the diff vent tube, and lift waaay up. You may still need to use a spring compressor to get it out, but you don't need to compress it very much to clear.
  4. Yeah, no codes at all. I think I might just buy the thing and do a little work to it. If I can't get it fixed, I'll re sell it or part it out. Thanks for the help. It does just as the TSB states. Sounds like a cheap fix. Thanks a bunch everyone. Best of all, I get to keep my Pathy. Time to celebrate with beer and some BACON!
  5. 1000 bux. The truck as a whole is in real good shape. Engine is strong, 4wd works, a few scratches, but the interior is cherry, the carpet could use a shampoo in the cargo area.
  6. I was wondering if they have a spped sensor. I know on some electronic trannies, the circuts were all tied in together through the cruise control via a speed sensor. Just though I'd throw that in there. The 4L80E is a virtually bulletproof tranny. And to have 2 with the same issue...very unlikely. If it's a speed sensor, that's a 30dollar part... May be worth a shot. Hell I can always part the truck out and make a profit.
  7. I am considering getting a 1993 3/4 ton Suburban w 454. It has an issue with shifting. I don't think it's the tranny though. The PO said it drove fine for 30 mins or longer before it acted like it went to neutral. He would pull over and turn the rig off, turn it back on and it shifted fine. He bought another tranny and installed it to find that it did the same thing. Sounds electronic and on the truck, not the tranny. Cruise control maybe? The tranny is a 4L80E so its not the POS 4L60E. I can get it cheap and the rest of the rig is in top shape. Thought I'd ask. Maybe someone here knows someone that knows someone that knows something. Thanks ahead of time. Best of all, I get to keep my Pathy!!!!!
  8. Sounds like you need an alignment. Mine did the same thing when I got cut off and hit a curb on the road. It's best to just get it realigned. If you go to Firestone Complete auto Care, the offer a lifetime alignment. Worth the money when you wheel.
  9. Good Luck!! Don't forget the bacon!
  10. Nice ride. Welcome to the BACON, I mean, NPORA!
  11. Baco...... I keep my owners manual, Insurance, Registration, and Zip ties. I made my wife take her tampons out of there when a buddy had a smart a$$ remark about it when he got a zip tie. She has a purse to keep those in anyway. No gloves, those are in my tool bag.
  12. Classical, Metal, Country, Punk, Classic Rock. Over all, I lean toward Metal. R&B, hiphop, Rap, and that crap in between that sounds like the singer is crying, just pisses me off. The worst part of radio is commercials. I just burn CD's and mix genres I like. I never get burned out that way. The wife cannot understand why I mix it. Going from Pantera to Garth Brooks to Steve Miller Band.....Maybe I'm just weird.
  13. What kind of bridge? I'm a collector.... As far as machining them, you can do it on a Bridgeport mill. Just use an indicator to find the center, make sure it's clamped down tight, and take light cuts with a boring head. I did some work on some old mags for my Chevelle. Worked like a charm.
  14. We got a Boxer a couple of weeks ago. He will ride with me pretty much everywhere. The only time I won't take him is when I plan on doing a little rough wheeling. Wouldn't want him bouncing off of the roof, floor, roof, floor, seats, windows.... On canoe and camping trips, he's there though.
  15. http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/351/...1696.htm#335988 Here is the answer I was looking for. Read the responses to the original review. There are ppl that work for the company that chimed in. Just as I suspected, they are a scam. New name, same company that ripped ppl off. The new company already has over 700 complaints with the BBB.
  16. I'm fairly new to Oregon(about 18 months now), so I can be of no help. Y'all mind if I tag along when you go? It would be nice to wheel somewhere other than BC. It's fun, but gets kinda old. I plan to go to sand lake this summer, but as far as other places in Oregon.....let's just say the internet hasn't helped for sh!t. PM me and let me know. Thanks, Lionel
  17. I fixed the telemarketer problen. Well, it's a process. When they call, I wait for the recorded crap at the beginning, as soon as the real person comes on, I blow my air horn into the phone. 12bux at the boat shop and 130db. hopefully they flag the number and tell each other about the surprize. If they don't quit, I get the gratification of fuggering up their day as they have fuggered up mine. 6 times and counting so far.
  18. Yeah, I figured it to be a scam. Kinda like the government's taxation system, attorneys, insurance, dr's, etc.
  19. Just checkin to see if NWORC still exists in Oregon. Keep seing it pop up here and there, but no club info. I know a couple of guys here started it or were/are members. Where'd y'all go?
  20. Every time they call, it's from a different state. I saw another commercial last night. They show a dodge mini van that needed a tranny, they say they pay 2500 bux. Another car needed an engine, they paid for it....... I think it's all B.S. I wanna see them buy an engine for my R50 @ 7 grand when the TB takes everything out.
  21. I just had another telemarketer tard call me trying to sell me an extended warranty for my 13yr old pathy. It does strike my intrest nonetheless. Does anyone have it/ used it? I told the guy to take me off his list and he insisted I purchase it. So, I told him to shove it up his a$$. The persistent twit still tried to talk me into it. I asked him if I need to spell it out for him. He still wanted to talk so I set the phone down and let him rap to his hearts content. He rattled on a good 4 mins before he asked if I was still there. When I didn't respond he hung up. I think it's a scam. But I think everything they sell on infomercials and telemarket annoyances are a scam. I registered all of my phones with the do not call registry. If I want to purchase a product or service, I will look it up and call myself. I despise these people burning my time away. I could be doing something far more productive like bitching about all the commercials on TV and ads I don't pay attention to on the computer. <end rant> Does anyone have this extended warranty? Have you used it? Do you know the guy that called me? I would like to call him nightly at home at 3:00 AM and sell him a phone silencer. Bastages.
  22. X3 or 4. I can't count this morning. All the R50's I'v seen have TS. Wear your seat belt in rough terrain. That little button on top of a ball cap is brutal.
  23. A couple of us are going wheeling this weekend in TSF. PM me if you want to meet and wheel.
  24. Hmmm, exhaust pipe and and some Royal Purple anyone. Ha... bunch of little Pathfinders rolling around. oooooh, Pathfinder..
