Carroll Shelby got paid a lot for endorses it, so it's gotta be good!! I have never tried it. Seems like a snake oil to me. I have used Royal Purple in several vehicles through the years. I have yet to have issues with it. RP does most of what it states. I'd just go with a reputable lubricant or do a little more research. Look for the good and the bad and believe 10% of what you read online.

I never think about putting anything in mine. I keep my change in the little cubby on the far left of my dash. The rest of my stuff is im my glovebox or center console. Maybe I should start smoking...

take both shocks loose, disconnect the diff vent tube, and lift waaay up. You may still need to use a spring compressor to get it out, but you don't need to compress it very much to clear.

Sounds like you need an alignment. Mine did the same thing when I got cut off and hit a curb on the road. It's best to just get it realigned. If you go to Firestone Complete auto Care, the offer a lifetime alignment. Worth the money when you wheel.

Stock Wheels with Warn # 29091 Manual locking hubs?

What kind of bridge? I'm a collector.... As far as machining them, you can do it on a Bridgeport mill. Just use an indicator to find the center, make sure it's clamped down tight, and take light cuts with a boring head. I did some work on some old mags for my Chevelle. Worked like a charm. -
We got a Boxer a couple of weeks ago. He will ride with me pretty much everywhere. The only time I won't take him is when I plan on doing a little rough wheeling. Wouldn't want him bouncing off of the roof, floor, roof, floor, seats, windows.... On canoe and camping trips, he's there though.

I have a prototype that I made from .0625" 6061. I can use it for a template. Now....to make some calls for the material. I can spend a little saturday time at the shop and draw it up on CAD. Sad, I can build on the fly faster than drawing things out. I think it's supposed to be the opposite. I'll see what I can do .

Damn, B. Too bad you're not poppin these for the R50. I would hit you up. Coming from a fellow machinist, I know the fitment would be precise...hence your name. I have worked with that material before and it is tough. I may have to steal you methods and make me a set. There are places all over the Portland area that I can get it from. Nice work man.

Yeah, the AC boys are damn proud of their precious shipping. Living in Oregon, I could prolly get a better rate buying Canadian....

I was arguing with a date ( now an ex) when she threw my '69 Chevelle in reverse doing 70. She looked at me, threw it in R for race and the tranny went all to pisses. I coulda slapped her, but it's just not in my nature. Her daddy bought me a new TCI tranny.

I like to laugh when someone spent a grand on something I made for 10 bux and some scrap from around the shop. Makes me wish I was still in Texas. My pathy would be almost finished rather than a damn pipe dream...

Maximum stopping= quickest stop without skidding the tires If your brakes skid the tires, you have crossed the max. threshold. There is no need to use the engine to assist in making the tires skid any further. Tire skid = loss of traction. Loss of traction = decreased, not increased stopping power. To give the horse one last whack, If your brakes can skid the tires, there is more than enough stopping power available. There is no need to go through the trouble of downshifting in a panic to stop faster. The stopping power is already there if your brakes are able to skid the tires. Avoid skidding the tires for maximum braking efficiency.

Headlight Question, non-pathy related, car experts needed

Does the housing have and cracks? I had a Taurus that had a small crack underneath. I went down the same ave. A dealer told me about cracks. I would have never thought a small crack would cause such an issue. Good Luck. -
Newbie Here Looking to Pick Up an R50 Soon
silverlion replied to 05G35's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Nice choice on the R-50. I have a '96 SE. Have had no real issues in a little over a year. It has 126k miles on it and has been maintained by the dealer since new. I do all my own maintenance(tightwad) and have changed all of my fluids to royal purple fluids. I have noticed about 25 extra miles per tank since that change. Don't expect to get 30 MPG with any of them though. You are entering a different realm with a 4x4. PS- I still want a 2 door... -
The price of the springs aren't bad, but they wanted 300 bones for shipping.......WTF? Who comes up with these prices? The price on the kits are good as well, they need to work on the shipping before I buy. I also noticed if I get a kit, the shipping is almost the same.......double WTF? Good luck dude, they are the only ones that i know of making our springs. If I'm wrong, someone let me in on the secret....

custom exhaust for a VQ35, diameter suggestions?
silverlion replied to Justin517's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
I agree, 4" is overkill. 2.5 should be ideal for such a small engine. I had 4" on my '69 Chevelle, but I was pushing 630CI and almost 800 hp with a B&M Supercharger. I get a kick out of the wannabe rednecks that buy the Dodge w/ the Cummins and put a 6" stack through the bed behind the cab. Git'er done! Or this... this is cool....
