Is that even functional? Or is this just a thread making fun of riceboys?
-
As far as I know yes. When I safetied mine, I had to get a new front driver's side ABS sensor. I'm not sure if it's standard, but mine's the XE so I'd assume anything up has it too...?
-
Not sure about the ABS on your WD21, but of course bigger discs (especially slotted and cross-drilled) with heavy duty calipers and pads would help. Braking is always improved when the front discs are modified for higher performance apps. Of course, with bigger tires moving you it's always a good idea to consider beefing up what's stopping those tires. In any case, I'm surprised your Pathy's discs are not ABS...

That's psycho!!!! I soooooooooo don't have that -
Hey dood, Best bet would be to get your hands on a Haynes manual. Not sure where else to find diff diagrams...
-
Seriously?! I'd have never guessed that. That's news to me... That being said, I wonder if it could serve any other purpose...?
-
Got it But what about that little black strip going up the middle of the windshield?
-
Thanks for the advice. I think I may look into that BTW, your Z31 is sick! It makes me giggle
-
Just to verify, the defrost switch on the R50 activates the rear glass, the mirrors and they windshield...? I don't remember

Stock Wheels with Warn # 29091 Manual locking hubs?
tekazgtr1984 replied to Justin517's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
American Racing 767 Pro Comp RC51 These wheels both have a centre hole of 4 1/2" I made sure when I ordered my steelies. From the looks of it those OEM wheels won't work. If you wanna try making the centre hole larger, by all means give it a shot. Be sure to post pics! -
Would Bride microsuede seats fit? My mind's been tinkering with the idea of putting 4 Bride seats (2x2 set up) in my '98... Cost aside, would they fit the stock rails? Hmmm...

Really? That's pretty slick. Never knew that one... I don't think my '98 has that though -
I think your best bet would be to contact 4x4parts.com via e-mail. They'd be able to provide an ideal solution and in-depth product knowledge

2002 Pathfinder - 1 year of ownership review
tekazgtr1984 replied to BowTied's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
I think the appropriate word is... astronomical. Small overseas orders typically don't make much sense. It is in no way feasible to order that stuff on its own... although the rear glass actuator probably wouldn't be all that bad. I ordered the digital climate control unit with wiring harness and cabin thermostat and in the end spent about $300 CAD. Then I just have to pay for shipping from Vancouver to Winnipeg, which I believe might be $60-80 by snail mail through Canada Post. -
Just out of curiosity, the lugs should be torqued to 100 ft. lbs.???

Yet another awesome feature that serves a useful function!

Tire Discussion (split from fleury's rig thread)

I've been rolling on Toyo Open Country A/T since the snow's been here, and they have yet to let me down. Highly recommended!!! -
You're putting stock wheels on your Pathy?
-
I couldn't agree with you more! Custom fab is always fun because it gives your vehicle that unique, one-of-a-kindness. I look forward to making up a custom exhaust for my rig in the spring It's just so silly that Nissan rerouted the piping on the Xterra because that could be a universal application for the R50 as well. Grrr...
-
Exactly!

Just some info on this tranny issue... I spoke to my friend who's also a Nissan mechanic, and he mentioned this issue to be pretty common with the first-gen R50 tranny. Specifically around 180,000-200,000 km (110,000-120,000 miles?) is when this tends to occur. It isn't so much an issue as it is an annoyance. But it should be monitored because if it worsens (i.e., shifts become harder and/or louder) it should be checked.

tekazgtr1984 replied to BowTied's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Yeah, makes me wonder why none of these were ever available in North America, or at least on the LE model. I think it was a bad move by Nissan to not include these in their non-JDM vehicles but I'm sure there was a reason for it. In any event, it's a bit of a disappointment to learn these things and wonder what could be. On the plus side, these parts can be ordered from Japan -
Indeed, that looks and sounds just badass! Nice work I wish to hell Nismo made an exahust system that fit the the R50... If they make one for the 3.3L Xterra, why the fook not the 3.3L Pathfinder?!
-
LOL I agree. I told him the same thing to no avail. It ain't my rig so beyond giving him my advice I couldn't care less. It seems to work pretty damn well though

Which Suspension lift package?
tekazgtr1984 replied to OR99.5Speed's topic in R50 FAQ's & Pinned Topics
I think the stock suspension on the Pathy is too car-like for a SUV. Even with the 2" lift, the aftermarket shocks and struts are excellent. It drives way more like a truck should, which is appropriate for a R50 As you can see from this reply to an almost 3-year old post, I'm bored at work... Being on this forum is easily the best way to pass the time. Work sucks!
