  1. You got a problem with Corollas? Hehe, J/K! An opinion's an opinion, so it's all good. I'd rather own a sweet sports car before a slammed truck any day... My plans are just that.
  2. I'm happy with Bilstein products as the 5100's have stood up to some serious abuse. Well, I'm hoping the 12" 7100's with standard reservoir will be sufficient for the SFD. That's the plan, at least for now. Air shocks no good?
  3. IF I were to own a mini-truck... Big hypothetical there!
  4. I'd like a slammed truck, but it'd have to be a D21 Hardbody with a SR20 and air-ride...
  5. Maybe the 12" 7100's with 32" max. travel of would be a smarter option, then...?
  6. Yeah, I'm in the same place. 33's and rear shocks are a must first and foremost... I'd just like to help out with this getting this product off to a good start!
  7. The 14" 7100's with reservoir shock have a maximum travel of 35" and offer the 255/70 valving. Seems like a solid option!
  8. I hate a similar problem with my '98; turned out it was the exhaust. The heat shields along the pipes were totally f*ckered and oxidized to the point most of the screws either bonded with the shields or just disintegrated due to heat and vibrations. Solution was to just remove the heat shields. Sounds better ever since!
  9. Sweet, these custom links are badass indeed! My only concern is, $600USD aside for the links, would be shipping to Canada... That'll probably end up somewhere around $800CAD after exchange and shipping.
  10. Sweet. I'm going to go with the 14" 7100's.
  11. Thanks for the valving buddy! So the 7100's would be good with the AC lift coils? With the SFD would the 7100's be no good? I'm thinking something like this would be ideal: https://www.4x4parts.com/catalog/product_in...roducts_id=2028
  12. Good point! I can't stand the gargantuan size of the stock clutch fan but I understand its importance. I've wanted to install a dual electric fan with over-ride switch but am still debating...
  13. But wouldn't the clutch fan do the same if it came into contact with water?
  14. I was told to get one because I planned on wheeling... For water crossings and such, an electric fan was suggested. But when I asked why, the response was, "I'm the off-road expert so don't question me."
  15. I take it investing in an electric fan is a good idea...?
  16. I'm thinking the same set for my rear but I'm just not sure on the valving. I want to stick with Bilstein but the 5100's leave a lot to be desired. And the 7100's appear to be a an ideal option.
  17. Well, I'll take your word on it as I've never driven a WD21 in bad weather conditions. But it makes sense now why open differentials are made: safety on the road. Now I see why you suggested getting ARB air lockers over installing a LSD.
  18. Thanks for the explanation, Simon. I understand that fully but by making a weaker diff than the WD21 for the R50, did onroad safety improve? I'm a bit surprised if the WD21 LSD was ideal both on- and off-road, the R50 LSD could have been similar in breakaway torque. It seems like the stock WD21 seems a lot more trail worthy than the R50; both are safe on the road, though.
  19. Why would Nissan even bother making a weaker LSD? I can't help but think it would have made more sense just to stick with what works.
  20. Oh, let's hope it's good news! X2 on a group buy if they have access to Proflex products. But it's not a longer strut in that sense; it just has more upward travel than the every other option and would eliminate topping out. But would a strut spacer be another option? Doesn't that just add extra clearance (eliminate the raked "tow truck" look)?
  21. Yup, I think that about sums up my interest/love for automobiles...
  22. I'm sure AC could be contacted in regard to these headers working on the R50 VG33E...
  23. Punctuation and grammar are not prerequisites! Back to the thread, however. I've been told just to get lockers, anyway... Does anyone know the breakaway torque of the OEM LSD? Despite the huge amount of money for ARB's unit, it seems totally worth it.
