Tyler (tmorgan) on this forum used to be one of the sources for these subframe drop kits. You won't have much luck unless you PM him directly. One thing I do know: getting a subframe drop kit made won't be an easy task.

Wondering what, if any, are worthy mods to make on the VG33E to legitimately increase power and efficiency. So far, I've got a HKS Super Hybrid 3-layer foam air filter, NGK IX plugs and wires. With a new car on the way I have put engine swap plans on hold but am still hoping to get a little more grunt out of the VG. I lack the knowledge to make any intense internal mods but I'd love to learn. In the meantime, I'd just like to know what are some proven bolt-on/plug-and-play upgrades, not this universal eBay bullsh*t. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Could very well be the case. I know for me, it did shift out of 4HI but the light stayed on. Maybe the sensor doesn't recognize the shift unless it passes a certain point on the linkage.

Could that be a t-case issue?

I've noticed that on my '98 too. I don't think it's actually a case of the 4HI still being engaged; it's just the sensor... To be honest, I never cared because it always turned off eventually anyway.

No, I PM'd him a month ago and he said things were moving along. I'm debating PM'ing him to see how it's going but I don't much feel like harassing the guy on monthly intervals. I just hope it'll be here by May. Hopefully I can have that installed before getting fabbed up bumpers and sliders.

/\ I hear you there. It's criminal to think ARB wants $1,900CAD if I order the bumper through NAPA. I figure with that money I can get front and rear bumpers made, as well as sweet rock silders and the remaining skid plates. That way I can design it all myself so it really makes things unique. Keep us posted on your bumper fabrication.

I can see your justification as it is your opinion. But I'm certain the TJM and ARB bumpers are not designed with the aesthetic in mind; it's pure functionality. One thing I do know: custom beats the piss out of any dye-made gear any day.

I put that proposition out to Dan (vengeful) and offered him cash to take some shots of his TJM off the truck and measure out the dimensions and whatnot. He still refused and understandably so. It's a lot of work to make up blueprints. I doubt anyone would do it for free... maybe Jesus.

You could spend probably half that and get a nice custom bumper made up for your rig.

I'm not sure what 'ET' means, but my guesstimation is it's probably a 5" backspacing... 15x8 wheels will fit but you need to be certain the backspacing is correct to ensure strut clearance. If I'm not mistaken, I think the correct backspacing should be withing 3.75"-4.25".
