  1. I didn't mean it like that, sorry. I was just trying to come to a conclusion for us all... I figure I'm going to just save my money for a JDM diesel swap and AXT upgrade kit. Then I'm going to tear apart the VG and beef it up to a 3.4L, port/polish, headers, cams, etc. and drop it in a HB pick-up or WD21!
  2. I noticed in your info your rig's year is '95... I would say try posting this in the WD21 section.
  3. X2... The popo here seem to care more about window tint and loud sound systems than fender flare or mud flaps.
  4. Scientific bickering aside, I think the fact here has been established regarding throttle body spacers: they are not very useful.
  5. Where abouts are you located for shipping these? I might be interested sometime in the spring.
  6. Except the R50 is a unibody and doesn't have torsion bars. JGC coils will not work. I've been told Ford F350 Super Duty coils are a possibility, though.
  7. Not that I can tell... But that's one reason to save up my cash. ARB lockers FTW!
  8. I didn't suggest it for that reason. It'll just hold up better in the long run was my thought. Personally, I love the flares...
  9. You could also just get the OEM fenders that didn't come with flares. As for the rear quarter panels, you'd still have to fill and paint.
  10. So the physical difference between an open diff and a limited slip diff is that an open diff lacks the clutch plates and thus has weaker breakaway torque...?
  11. NAPA it is. I'm going to start there for hoses, too. Thanks!
  12. Trying to find out exactly what I need for hoses and 90o fittings, which I'll purchase somewhere else.
  13. If you're increasing the space where the air and fuel combines, you'd want to increase the amount of air and fuel, in order to have the proper air-fuel ratio. Larger capacity injectors will provide more fuel to mix with the greater amount of air.
  14. Books are your friends! ...Seriously, best resource there is.
  15. I can say with 100% confidence I failed physics... Luckily, I was able to withdraw in time to not have it affect my GPA. Clearly science and math are not my strong points...
  16. Breakaway torque isn't that great so I'm guessing that's why. Sounds to me like you've got an open diff though...
  17. I have no plans to screw with things on my rig I don't understand. I've accepted my R50 as being slow and will definitely live with that. I was just curious what, if anything, would be the benefits in disabling the EGR valve. I've concluded there are none.
  18. I'd love to build my own buggy but I have other toys on the way that will certainly foredshadow that in terms of time and money; I'd still love to have a diesel L4 torque monster under the hood of my R50, though. Time will tell but I do see it happening. I have no intention of making my Pathy strictly an off-road vehicle. As it stands, this rig is my current daily driver and serves its purpose all year round. I would, down the road, like to make a serious off-road rig, probably a D22 Frontier; again time and money permitting. As it stands for now, this Pathfinder is going to be well-equipped but also comfortable on the pavement.
  19. Bump... For 90o fittings, what should I be looking for? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!
  20. I'd rather wait and get a QD32 and throw on the AXT turbo kit. You make a good point. When I do the swap, I'm going to rebuild my VG33 into something nasty and hopefully drop it in a HB.
  21. That's the plan but I'd rather go JDM diesel. The VG33ER is my contingency plan if I have no luck finding a QD32 in the next year or so. Based on what ya'll have posted, I am better off just leaving my VG33E as is. No point in spending needlessly to end up with minimal gains at best. I will do a massive spring clean-up on my rig, though. What better place to start than the engine. Thanks to everyone. Cheers!
