  1. Must be nice. My friend's running the exact same lift on his Titan... He freakin' loves the beast.
  2. I'd like to see this VG33 modification get done. Sure as hell won't be me, though.
  3. If my being in a colder location than you means you can get some laughs at the expense of me freezin' my nads off, it's been a good day.
  4. I thought it was stroke only; what the crap I would know is the problem, though. In any event, post some info when you know. I'd love to know about the potential swapping aftermarket 300ZX parts with the VG33E OEM hardware.
  5. Just so you know, I've got the 4.6's in my '98 already. Sorry for the confusion... Speaking of confusion... *ahem*, Mike. Wrong way... I'm north. The arctic would have been such a better burn.
  6. Eventually, the bedliner paint will just start to peel off. It needs bare metal to which it can adhere; rust is no good. Make sure you remove all the rust and sand down those areas so they are free of any debris/residue. I hear sandblacsting works well but I'm sure doing it by hand will get similar results only not so quickly or easily. I'm planning a similar project once the weather is nicer. My rig requires some minor body work, though...
  7. It's only a matter of swapping in the 4.6's, right?
  8. Good stuff. At least the battery's an easy replacement...
  9. Seeing as how it's Alex, I'd say he is. I'm pretty sure the VQ-powered R50's only came with 4.3 gears.
  10. That does work for the WD21 VG30. I don't see why it wouldn't work for the R50 VG33...
  11. The link has quite a few pictures of the install. I'm not sure if Dan's got any more. Try firing him a PM.
  12. That's a solid bumper. The hitch receiver's a great feature, too.
  13. Bah, stupid concept if you ask me... I guess one could always just swap over the antenna to make it actually look proper. Even so, I say 'bah' in a hearty tone. I'm going to attempt the D22 snorkel with some flex tube a-la-Dan style.
  14. That's exaclty what I'm thinking. That stupid antenna cut-out for the R50 snorkel is pretty much crap, too.
  15. Yeah, the fact that the unibody needs cutting to fit the R50 Safari snorkel is a tad wonky to me... I wonder if there's any way around that...
  16. How did everything seal up for the D22 Navara snorkel on the R50? I never asked you that...
  17. HDPE skids eh? Rock sliders eh? Let us know how that goes for you. I am definitely interested.
  18. It's just a universal kit desinged to fit M20x1.5 thread oil filter. The hardware is definitely good quality, the two plates being CNC machined. I threaded everything together last night and it was all super smooth. I would think teflon taping the 10AN fittings and performing a dry run of everything put together would be wise. I'm looking at options for 90o 10AN fittings at the moment; maybe I can avoid that depending on the oil lines I end up running. If I can pick up oil lines for the weekend, I'll be doing this install either Sunday or Monday.
  19. X2. What's with AC's consistent misinformation...? Like Alex said, only the front is reverse cut. The rear is not.
  20. The kit arrived in the mail this afternoon. Here are some pics: Now I've got to get some hoses. And 90o AN fittings would definitely be a good idea.
