I have agree with you here. My gf's brother runs 33x12.5R15 MT-R's on his Samurai and loves 'em on and off the pavement; his friend runs the 33x12.5R15 STT's and has nothing but good to say about those. My buddy has 35x12.5R20 Toyo M/T's on his Tundra and he's enjoying the hell out of those, too. He keeps telling me to just switch to those from the A/T. Those are three solid options.

If you want solid A/T tires that wear well, my recommendation is the Toyo Open Country. It's honestly an excellent tire. His random comments amuse me.

I have 32" Toyo A/T tires and have only been stuck once. I was doing a climb (open diff was the fail) and my rear end slid into a huge rut full of sand and snow.

All universal parts between the the QX4 and the R50 as long as the year corresponds. I'm trying to find all the hardware to get that digital system in my R50; the dials are so archaic.

Reviving this thread because I'm a bastage and I still want to learn as much as I can about this QD32 swap. I found someone who may be able to import an engine but I've got to make up a checklist of just what additional parts I'll need. Fuel system will need to be redone and exhaust would have to be custom. I've found a company out of BC who sells a tubro upgrade kit for the QD, putting its numbers up to 245HP, 370lb/ft of torque. I'm not sure if the QD included an intercooler as OEM but with increased output a decent top-mount would go a long way. I'm praying to the gods I get this border services interview; that way this can be made a reality without having to increase my debt.

Ditto to Keelhaul's post. You could probably get away with one set of bolts per side. When I had my tires rotated last fall, the mechanic kept both sets installed but mentioned changing to one set with the coils settles wouldn't change anything. As for the rear coils, same thing as Keelhaul. I kept my bumpstops installed, too.
