What is the backspacing on your wheels? Exit I have a set of 17X9 wheels with 32 inch Dick Cepek mud terrains and only 5" backspacing and they done rub anything.

Well I do know that when I am cruzing and coming to a stop if I leave it in gear and just put the clutch in the engine idles higher till I come to a complete stop. Now when I put in the clutch and put it in neutral it goes to normal idle.

Running premium fuel in older vehicles?
linkinpark replied to erathge's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Like I said its just what happens to me at my gas station. Would be kinda cool to do an actual study. Go around to different gas stations and try all three octanes. Just to see what happens. -
Replacement Headlight Bulbs - I need something beyond stock
linkinpark replied to findmypath's topic in The Garage
I have a set of Chebay HID's 4300's. Stock housing with High and Low. Aimed correctly. No crazy stray beams. Maybe its a different style of bulb than others? -
Running premium fuel in older vehicles?
linkinpark replied to erathge's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Well I just use an app on my phone to keep track. Been tracking for like 3 years. You always know there is something wrong when you start getting worse gas mileage. I have always ran premium from my 300zx turbo to my 05 spec V to the pathfinder. Given the first two do ask for it. Anyway I had a fellow mechanic friend with me when I was getting gas in my pathy one day and of coarse noticed I was putting premium in it. Well so I bet him 20 bucks that I was getting better mileage and guess what? He paid for the next tank. HAHA Maybe its just the extra additives in the premiums at Chevron? -
Oh sad. Your even in the same state as me. Just west coast.

Running premium fuel in older vehicles?

This is one of those things that are a never ending battle. If you keep track of your gas mileage like I do you can try it out and see if there is a difference. I personally always go to the same gas station. A chevron. I also only run premium. Now I am sure I am gonna get a few people on here that say "oh thats just dumb"! Well I get 2mpg better on premium. I have tested it back and forth. I went down to E and put a tank of regular in. Well I could tell a difference right off the bat. I was only getting 13-14 with regular 87 octane. With premium I could get almost 18 sometimes. And no I didnt do anything different on the 87 octane. Same driving everyday. I have a 98 with almost 199850 miles. So like I said just try it. Or track a few of your fill ups and then switch. I calculated out that the extra 3-4 dollars a tank is saving me about 10 bucks a tank because of the because mileage. Just my experience. -
Well it has been a long time since I have looked, but I do know that every wire from the ignition switch is hooked up. So no different than turning the key since there is no chip in mine.
-
What are you having problems with?
-
Mine only does that on my remote start when its cold out. Really strange but never been able to figure out why either.
-
Hope you got it all figured out but I never had to use any extra relays. But it really would depend on the remote start system.
-
Yeah I would buy one.
-
No there isn't. I do not think a chipped key was even an option in our rigs.

http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/alarmdetail/1640.html That will give you pretty much everything you need. I tied into the tach from the gauge cluster. Only have two wires going into the engine bay. Hood pin and alarm siren. Not pictures. Don't feel like tearing it all apart.

I have. I have a 1998 Manual 4x4

Well I didn't read ever single post but just to tell everyone I did this to mine about two weeks ago. WOW is it different. Makes snow driving alot easier. Very wierd steering because it always wants the steering wheel to be strait. When it comes to turning it turns better than before. I just make sure that I undo the hubs before I get to dry road. I understand the money issue. Who has an extra couple grand for lockers. But I also have a spare front diff just in case. Just my 2 cents

Mr gasket spacers for the front?
linkinpark replied to shoesandsocks's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
I actually am using them in the front to give me a just lil gain. What I did was jack up the front and cut them in half. Slide one half to the very top of the coil and one half to the vary bottom. Gives about .5 lift. -
You should be fine as long as you pick the right motor. I don't know what your budget is but I put the stage two Center Force clutch in and I love it.

How much did the kit cost you? -
Any way to tighten a "sloppy" shift lever?
linkinpark replied to ascdesigns's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Yeah mine does that too. If you do get it figured out please post up. -
I have a drivers headlight. Might have some other stuff to.
-
Mine did it a long time ago. Replaced all the bushing with Poly ones and drives like a champ now.
-
On the top of the clutch pedal you should be able to adjust it. Maybe its just not pushing it far enough. I have a center force 2 in my r50 and it took a little tweaking to get it right.
