  1. Very common problem. I would get some replacements for the panhard. And when you say the left rear upper bushing your talking about your shocks right? Not one of your control arms?
  2. How about someone from outside the US tell us if they have them or not. Just curious because some places don't have any kind of emissions like the US has.
  3. Holy crap that thing is just amazing!!!!!
  4. Yeah at least clean them out to check if they are bad. If they look good repack and put new seals on. I just did it and doesnt take long.
  5. He doesn't have the key fob so this wont work. If it is the factory alarm using the key in the door should shut it off. I installed a Alarm/Remote start in mine and if you lock the doors any other way besides the alarm but then unlock it with the alarm the factory alarm kicks in and I have to use the key. I know how to bypass it I am just to busy/lazy to get to it.
  6. Yeah its one of many strange things with the pathfinders. I would still own a whole fleet of pathfinders if I had the money tho.
  7. When you turn the key to open the window on the hatch it locks the hatch its self. So just open the window then close it.
  8. I know it makes no sense at all. But they do. If you try finding an engine it will want the vin and if its a manual or auto. I believe they kept the same manual trans out of the 96-99 ones. I would say to save money but its a different block. So who knows.
  9. If you do take this on would you be willing to take some pictures of the bell housing on the transmission and the flywheel side of the motor? I am trying to see how they look. But as for your question I am pretty sure you need another manual motor. Looking in my chiltons manual the bell housing between the auto and manual are way different.
  10. Im down. Even with the same orange color I would gladly buy it for that much!!!
  11. Yes i know the front is easy. And i know what i need to do in the back. But i don't know how to set the backlash. Also can I leave the pinion in the open diff and just put the ring on the LSD and put that in the open diff?
  12. I tried the search and can't find it. Link???
  13. Yeah I know about the gears. Its the back lash and everything I dont know how to do. And I don't know the specs either.
  14. I have two differentials and one has 4.6 gears and the other a LSD with 4.3 gears. I am pretty good mechanicaly but have never done my own gears. I was thinking of just swaping the 4.6 ring on the LSD and then put that back into the carrier with the 4.6 pinion. Would that hurt anything? My book doesnt say anything about diffs If that is ok what else do I need to do??? I am trying to get this done before friday because I have a 4wheeling trip planned. Thanks in advance.
  15. Well if you do it right I am sure you could get the bolts out but you would risk bending the mount.
  16. Could very well be clogged somewhere. Mine needle always stays right below the halfway mark. On both my 97 and my 98. I would flush the system out really really well and see what happens.
  17. No promised but all the nissans I have and have worked on have all had the wiring there. You could look by your switch and see if there are any extra plugs or pins. If so then its a safe bet they are there on the other side as well.
  18. Found this in my Chiltons manual. Both look exactly the same just the bolt lengths one a couple bolts are different. There is also a image of a second 3.5 transmission which is different. So maybe just the automatics are different. Because when you shop for a 3.5 motor there is a different motor code.
  19. I am trying to figure out what differences there are in transmission between the 96-00 pathfinders and the 01-04 ones with the 3.5 engine. As far as I know the transmissions are the same but the transfer cases are different. I have a 98 with a manual. Would the transmission say out of a 01 or 02 be the same?
  20. No they are two different things. O2 sensor goes on the exaust. The knock sensor I beleive is near the intake. I'll try and take a picture later and post it.
  21. So I had a thought about the angles and went and checked the angle when you simply turn your wheel full left and right. Its over 30 easy. So with that in mind even if you have stock angles it goes over 30 anyway. HMMMM
  22. Well depends on if you are mechanically able? You will need a 12 volt electrical tester. First have you tried both switches? One at the drivers door and the one at the window itself? If so then you will want to use the tester at the switches to make sure that it is putting out the 12 volts to the motor. If it is putting out 12 volts while holding the switch then more than likely your motor burned up. Or the window is bound up. I just figure testing the electrical is easier because you dont have to tear the whole door apart.
  23. Oh it was hard to tell. Almost looks like some fender left but after squinting I can see its gone.
