  1. funny I never liked the black on the outside...looks naked.. I guess I might change my mind after a few rock trails when I see the white all trashed up.... but for now , white outside ! haha
  2. 1.25" on mine, but for full flex you'll have to trim.... I guess you could try 1" and let us all know how it turns out..
  3. That's a wheeling picture !!! congrats !
  4. gpg had given us a link in his thread....: POST #456 http://npora.ipbhost.com//index.php?s=&amp...st&p=422891
  5. Hey Nunya, thanks.. I knew you posted on the other one....my request was more for the others that are staying quiet...come on... a small picture and this will encourage the others to continue this...The truck is still in need of parts and repairs...we need money for this...
  6. Thanks B, NPORA don't owe me anything..This place has helped so much that it's just a return of the pendulum ... For all the others that promised me to post their stickers on their trucks...where are you ! ?
  7. Hey You;re right ! .... wait 'till you see the mrjim reunion pictures...now this will put this forum in a category of it's own ! Cheers!
  8. ouch...that's gotta hurt a bit .... Just for the record how many KM do you have on it..??
  9. I just drooled all over myself ....
  10. After all your detailed explanation of the trouble , I would say your torque converter in the trans is acting up ... Have you done a good flush of your trans oil at one point ?? if you're not sure, try draining a little from the draining plug and look at the color. Anything other than clean red is not good... Also, to make sure that it is that, when you say after a long distance you stall, then try again to do a long distance and when you are about to stop at a red light, when you feel it's about to stall, put it in neutral... if it comes back normal then, It would confirm the torque converter.. Coulad also be a speed sensor that the trans uses, but that i'm not very certain of where to look...
  11. Great to to hear that they came in good shape considering the distance ! I agree, the yellow one was a first and I must say It looks prrreety good ! :-)
  12. I would say 1 or more leaking injector(s)... If it does it more on short trip, I would think the injector still let go some fuel after it has been shut off....On a small amount of time it is off, the fuel will stay in the cylinders not having enough time to sip past the ring, therefore the problem of smell and flooding... On long stops, the fuel most probably has time to go down in the oil pan past the rings.. One easy way on confirming this, is on the next oil change, drain you oil in a transparent container. If there is fuel in there you should be able to see it as it should form his own layer (on top or bottom) of the oil after it has sit a while... if you want , you could bypass this and go ahead with a leak test of the injectors...
  13. Yeah I know..Once you learn that you have to shop by part numbers at autopartway, then you're good... Sometimes their description does not fit the part number (like hub), but those part number are always good... So I tookan habit of getting the part number from the manufacturer and searching at autopartsway ... If they have it, I order there... 97$ with free shipping...that's not a bad deal ! Also, I had to return a bad rancho shock to them at one point and they were good to deal with...
  14. from which store ?? .. this is where I got my last set : http://www.autopartsway.ca/autoparts2/inde...er%204WD~241404 are you looking for the oem part number or empi ???
  15. Looks good...and mud is easier to wipe off of a leather seat then on cloth ..hahahaha Thanks for sharing the info ! S.

    OH NO!

I did a few research and if it was the rear seal, I would have tell you to try it out yourself since you do not have to remove the trans... Now according to your description of the problem, it's not the rear but the front. Everywhere, I read, they say you'll have to remove the trans. Now according to the 94 fsm ( i know you have a 91, but I assumed it would be similar), here's the list of things to do, to remove the trans.: Now I would say to you, if you are up to these task, then I would suggest you remove the trans, buy the seal kit, then bring it to a trans shop. This would be the best way to save a lot of money and still have a perfect job done. They just won't make any money on parts or remove time.... Do you have the fsm to help you with this ??

    OH NO!

Hey Beastpath... I don't know your financial situation nor your freetime, b ut are you really considering a manual trans swap to your automatic because you have a seal that is leaking ??!!! I mean, You're obviously in for some long hours and surprises as you go along... what is so wrong with your auto tranny that you do not like? Have alook here : http://www.importdrivetrain.com/autotransp...an_truck_id.htm get a rebuild kit and be done with it and have a trans like new .... I have an auto tranny and and would not change an thing on the trail... Hope you don't mind my 2 cents....
  18. get them from a resident at npora (Daddy Rim) : http://www.nx4industries.com/ call him or send him a pm here and he'll answer all your questions..

    OH NO!

I have never changed a trans in my life but for that kind of dough, I would put the thing on jackstands and get to it.... Before taking another trans (with potentially other problems) I would surely check at a transmission rebuild place if rebuild kit exists etc... 2400$ !!! He is out of his mind !

    OH NO!

Obviously a trans seal...You could put some products to help make the seal swell depending of the size of your "pool" of transmission fluid....but It would probably just delayed a more catastrophic failure.... I say time to remove the trans and seal changing.... :-( bummer..
  21. go to www.sunbeltsoftware.com and install the 15 day free and totally functionnal vipre software. Make sure to uninstall any antivirus/antispyware first. run a full scan.. I use this on all the sub sompanies I managed through out the world...(enterprise version..but still the same core)...
  22. definitely interressted when I put the 33's.... next spring... looking for 1" spacer too for the rear...Then with these, like you said, I would fix the off-center at the back that has been causing me some headaches with the flexing in the rear front fender... Very nice work,... will the tube have some kind of treatment or paint or anything that would prevent/inhebit the rust, or we have to finish them ourselves ??
  23. I do not hear it....but I have since bought the hilift neoprene cover that keeps everything snug..it surely helps http://www.hi-lift.com/accessories/jack-cover.html
