Wow! That's cool too! I dig the blue one. Though, $60 is pretty steep for a voltmeter. I never really thought about it when I bought my cheapo Sunpro gauge, but we might have some meters like this laying around the factory... Maybe time for a store room raid.

....and about $10 worth of black Rust-oleum for that frame. Looks good though. -
Nono, I'm not saying you're wrong. I guess I'm saying that it's on the autos too? I have no idea what the manual is like, but I can vouch for the AT. >>>"AFAIK it's only on manual transmissions though. I dunno why you'd need an interlock switch on an automatic"<<< I think my first was a 92 SE? I can't remember now. I didn't have time to get too familiar. I've got the paperwork around here somewhere. I'll dig it up if I haf'ta.
-
No, it's on the older autos. My 95 doesn't have one, but my first did. It lets you move the shift lever w/o the brake being depressed. Handy as hell when you're working on something from the passenger side. You do have to hold it in.
-
Ooooh! That's cool!
-
There is room in the 95. It just depends how much hacking you're willing to do and what kind of stereo you're using. I wrestled w/ the CB idea for months before I came up w/ my current set-up. I wanted to use my full-size Galaxy radio, so mounting in the dash wasn't possible. So I removed the bottom air ducts (useless anyway IMO) and worked the plastic to fit. Doing it this way left room in the dash for later. My plan was to swap the pocket for a scanner, but it would work just as well for a gauge cluster. With a 1 DIN head unit and a hacksaw, you should be in business. Like so...

Actually the D21 Terrano (search テラノ) is listed in the application guide with two different sizes. I like cheap, and the Coleman isn't bad, but it sure ain't as pretty. -
Hmmm, sounds a lot like the Firestone Wilderness from several years ago. Sure glad they stopped making those! I think I'll give mine a few more miles before I toss them. Thanks for the heads up though.
-
I dunno. The thermocouple is pretty long. I don't know that it will fit in the stock position. Piping for a T might be trouble. I would recommend going to the parts store and looking at them before you buy so you can plan the installation. Personally, a transmission temp gauge is higher on my priorities. That AT gets hot!
-
Mine seem all right. I didn't hear a whole lot of negative chatter before I bought them. In fact, the Jeep guys seemed to like them. How many sets have you been through? Did you wheel with them very heavily before they wore, or was it more road use? How long did you have them?
-
I believe so, but I never tested the theory. The gauge set comes w/ a separate thermocouple. You either find a port in the block as recomended (great for V-8, bad for 4 cyl w/ shallow water jackets), or splice your rad hose. There are in-line kits available. I went another route. I drilled and tapped the neck for the upper hose using a part taken from a GA16i. Unfortunately, the forum w/ the write-up I posted is gone, so all I have left are a few CarDomain pics. Now, I did scrap the oil pressure sensor and run the line for the mechanical gauge in its place. I never had any problems out of it. However, you might want consider something like a T fitting so you can run both... Just to be sure.
-
Ehh, it's easier to part with the 100 bucks and get the kit. I'm sure I'd screw something up. Availability confirmed. I'll put the order in tomorrow.

Well then, I'm glad you're here... Is there any way to get one of these Noselda racks w/o having to pay over $900 usd? That's the conversion on the sale price at Shuei anyhow... I wish I read more Japanese They've got all kinds of cool parts for the WD. -
I use Castrol synthetc blend. My VG isn't worth full synthetic oil. Too expensive, too hard to maintain. I try to steer clear of the cheap house brands.
-
If you're looking to go big, you can find ProComp 4 for 3 all over the net right now.
-
You might give Equus a try. They sell a 2"-3 gauge kit that's pretty easy to find a place for. You can pick something like this up at Oreilly for $30-40. I used them for years in the Sentra w/o issue.

http://www.aibaworks.co.jp/roofrack.htm Know any good JDM importers? -
Well, you've balanced the weight of your highlift anyhow. I'll bet that rod will turn a 12sec quarter easy... So long as your manifold welds hold out.
-
I'm pretty sure the FSM calls for ATF, but I don't have it with me. I'm sure it's in there though. Download it here Use the 94 or 95... It'll be close enough.
-
Be sure to loose weight equally, it it will look like this: o/o Mine is seriously off kilter ATM due to the homebrew rear bumber, hitch and tire carrier with only the headlights and hood out front.
-
Oh sweet! Thank you. I'll write them right now.
-
I like the way you think! I've been shopping all morning, but I've only found Hennmann and Duffco, neither of which show pics. I think that AC sells the Hennmann. I'm not too hip on the 4" bulge though. I'll never get the rear to match and I'm not giving up my doors like the Beal Bros. did w/ their baja truck. Maybe a little bulge, high in the arch and tight to the doors. If you know of any other builders, let me know. I'll just hack the stockers until I find what I'm looking for. No luck w/ a 1" BL kit either. A coworker recomended drilling a hole in a hockey puck... That must be a yankee thing, I dunno.

Well, I took the plunge. 31x12.5 ProComp Mud Terrains They rub pretty bad at as little as half-turn, but I had no love for my front fenders anyway. The guys at the tireshop laughed when I said that's what a saw's-all is for.... They don't know me very well. Personally, I like the MadMax look. I'll get the fenders done as soon as I have time. For now, just being able to get into the parking lot at work is good enough. I'm thinking a body lift is in order, but I don't really want to very high. Maybe 1". Only time will tell whether the suspension holds up to the 10" wheels. I am due for new bushings, but other than that, I don't foresee any major changes. I drove about 50 miles on the highway tonight with no real complaints, other then the noise, which will take some getting used to.
