  1. Awesome grill! Where's that come from?
  2. My kids think this is the most epic paint job evar. Thanks. Now I'm going to come home to a Crayola marker duplicate on my 95.
  3. That doesn't look too bad. You obviously need a new bumper and fog light, which are cheap enough to replace. Once you get the bumper off, you'll know more about any damage to the radiator support. I looks like the grill might have been pushed up a bit... What was wrong with the headlight and corner?
  4. NM. Parts train has it listed as Engine Temperature Sensor... They list the other as the Temperature Sending Gauge Switch. I may be backward. The FSM is kinda fuzzy. Test then both and see what happens. http://www.partstrain.com/store/details/Nissan/Pathfinder/Standard/Engine_Temperature_Sensor/1995/XE/6_Cyl_3-dot-0L/SITX18T.html http://www.partstrain.com/store/details/Nissan/Pathfinder/Beck_Arnley/Temperature_Sending_Gauge_Switch/1995/XE/6_Cyl_3-dot-0L/201-1328.html
  5. Prolly the temp sensor. Easy fix. The trouble-shooting procedure is on page EL-41 in the FSM. I replaced this part in my truck a couple years ago. Seems like it cost around $14. For some reason, I can't find it on any of the parts sites now though. o_O
  6. LoL! I think goofy windows are the least of your worries with a 4runner. Having worked on my brother's, I'd be happy never messing with one again. Most over-complicated junk pile evar! Thank the car gods for my simple, hard-working Pathfinder. The 2-ton liftgate may fall and chop me in two one day, but at least I'll go knowing it won't take a degree from MIT to fix it.
  7. I'd rather have the split tailgate like the Chevies and Toyotas personally, but either way would be a ton of fab work. You could start by chopping the stock liftgate and go from there.
  8. I decided on a grill (ordering today) and started a parts list to get my front end in presentable order. As of Tuesday my Pathy and I work for Direct TV. If anyone knows of a ladder rack available for the WD21, let me know. I've got to buy or build one in 2 weeks.
  9. Not a bad idea. I really don't care for the stock flares anyway. I want a set of those crazy Terrano flares that stick out 6".
  10. Gotcha. Sorry, I thought I was missing something about the suspension. Nunya is on the ball. I'd prolly just beat the snot out of it with a punch and a BFH. o_O
  11. I think there might be a WD21 hiding behind all these douche bags. I'm so glad I don't have cable. Please let be know when Powerblock gets Danica Patrick back.
  12. Slide pin? For the brake? Are you having trouble with the caliper on a rear disk brake set-up?
  13. LOL! I have 3. What do you do with 3 flares? I'm willing to give them away if anyone wants to come get them.
  14. Thats weird.. I was @ a Nashville p***y last night!

  15. Lisa, it sounds to me that you're the only person you know that's interested in fixing the truck. It sounds like over the last four years your Pathy has been rode hard and put away wet. I hope your desire to keep your truck is strong enough to take these gentleman's advice, but if your family's resistance proves too much, please don't junk your truck. You won't make much by scrapping it. Better that you sell it cheap to someone who is willing to put in the time to bring it back.
  16. Don't forget the actuator itself. That might have been in the PM, but I hadn't seen it mentioned. Make sure you have the vacuum lines and hardware too. It seems obvious, but all the electrical connections and switches in the world won't help if you forget the main component. ;p You'll wanna be sure your TB has the pulley for the CC too. If not, you'll need that from the donor too.
  17. I'm sorry, can you be more vague? Try this: http://www.courtesyparts.com/pathfinder-parts-wd21-1987-1995/genuine-nissan-parts/bodyside-rear/803-front-door-window-regulator/-c-5572_5573_5716_5723.html If that doesn't help, try using a digital camera and MS Paint to draw a great big arrow pointing to the part in question (no, really, it works).
  18. Thanks for that, but does the color code apply to the older style sensor?
  19. Damn! Well my only choice is to go with what I have. I called Courtesy, but they can't tell me anything new about it. Apparently, if you don't know what your transmission is, you're SOL. So, for anyone thinking about replacing their drivetrain, MAKE SURE IT MATCHES WHAT CAME OUT!!! I ordered the pinion gear. 20 teeth to match the XE. It's a total crap-shoot, but $30 wasted is better than not trying at all. Maybe I'll write a how-to on this when I get it done. I find the lack of information disheartening.
  20. Ok, I found the gear at Courtesy. 20 teeth for my XE. Even more of a relief was that their sensor looks just like the one I bought from Parts Train. But here's where the plot thickens. Why does the sensor I took out look nothing like that which replaces it? In fact, it actually resembles the sensor courtesy lists as 93 and below... But I thought everything under 94 still had the cable speedo? Too weird. Maybe some dingbat replaced the tranny with an older model before I got it. That being a possibility; how am I ever going to match the splines on the pinion?
  21. Cool I'd like to see those. I've got the eBay "projectors", but they suck.
  22. Me too. There's actually a couple companies that offer cowl hoods for the HB. I've not seen one on a Pathy yet, but I'd sure like to. The HB headlight swap is easy. Just pull the buckets and bulb connections from a junkyard donor. It's a bolt-on / wire nut affair.
  23. So, the VSS on my '95 has been broken since I got it three years ago. I'm finally getting around to replacing it. The trick is, the replacement doesn't match the original... There's no gear attached. I've searched like crazy, but I can't find one that does. The old gear doesn't come off. Its molded to the shaft. I know this because, after a couple taps with a hammer, I got to see the cut-away view. Has anyone replaced the electronic speed sensor? Can you tell me how this is supposed to work? The FSM is absolutely useless in this case.
