  5. is this april 1? hmmm. catch us up to his speed sometime.
  6. that's basically what l&p setup is all about. the writeup you are referring to is on n4w iirc.
  7. this isn't your regular diy type of thing. takes a little more skill then most diy projects.
  8. hey stupid questions are not allowed. haven't you read the rules? sheesh. got search? one more thing, what are you offLoading with your pathy?
  9. weak battery? that's the exact symptom too. i'd check that first then check all the wireing between the battery and the relay. it's easier then having to get at the starter. good luck and update us with your progress.
  10. the thompson tires would be my suggestion too. not many other desert tires out there. are there any tires that stop nails from penetrating?
  11. might want to check and change the fluid pronto.
  12. center link, bjs or something to that effect are going. the play shouldn't really be there especially side to side.. it could also be idler arm. see how much the CL moves up and down when you push/pull on the tire laterally. it moves a tad but not very much. CL is the weakest part of the steering so i bet that could be your issue. to make certain you'd have to take it off and see if the bj like attachments are stiff or loose. if loose, CL is shot.
  13. could be sticking caliper too. depends on what the shop did to your truck.
  14. nah, i just moved mine forward a mm or 2.
  15. that's no X in the pic above. no way no how.
  16. if that doesn't get his attention then try this: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/4xfools/
  17. try posting here if you get no other responces: http://www.quicktopic.com/30/H/nMNRwAVcyB6
  18. hmm. i did see phil yesterday but i really didn't have the time to chat it up with him. i wish i knew about this as i surely would have asked him.
  19. the bigger the better. it doens't have to be either of the two you mentioned. look around in the garage. there is info on all that kind of stuff in there. good luck.
  20. yeah plus bucket with fresh fluid where the other hose is dipped in so it doesn't go dry.
  21. cool, thanks meangreen. that's actually good news as i can maybe get the gear for 31s and have the actual speed and distance. thanks for the grease hint. definitely a good idea. it's 6F right now so i am not touching anything but stuff is piling up (now the air control illumination went dead) so hopefuly soon the cold grip eases. just some double didgits would help.
  22. check your CV, and just inspect the steering from underneath. tug on everything.. nothing should be loose there.
