hey, i had to replace a ball joint this weekend and when i purchased one it seems that it is smaller then the hole in the UCA. i went to another store, same thing. the holes do lign up but it kinda wearded me out. i did put one of them on because i had no choice but i am wondering if that's ok especially in offroad applications. i drove about 40 miles on it thus far and seem to be ok but I am planning on wheeling some tought mud this weekend and am worried a bit. any thoughts?

I didn't care for the jumping tk untill in the latest black the ground was given some depth. maybe a bit of the chassis on the tk would be in order. it's growing on me... to me there is a bit much writing there. i hope you guys are thinking shirts with pockets. on the pocket i'd simply say either the url or find your own path in some kinda kool hand writing. (my fav. is monotype corsiva but, anything along those lines) Maybe we could use tire tread (tracks) as the NPORA letters or the slogan or something like that. or underneath the above mentioned jumping tk or as underline for NPORA.... i personally really like Mark's etch-a-sketch tk. i'll post my pose in a bit. it's nothing like 88's though. rotors are pretty simlple but time involving. look in on cv axle removal thread. the whole fron part of that procedure applies to rotor removal. good luck and have fun

this just popped in my head. the only squick i have ever had that was pretty much on all the time was when my balljoint went, and i mean busted off. thank g that i was going just a couple mph. if you step on the front bumper and bounce do you hear that sound?

holy cow! that's the most miles i heard of one of these things having... let's see some pix!

could be the fuel pump. they tend to act up when warm/hot. i didn't see anybody mention fuel filter so i will. i had same problems on other vehicles and that was the culprit most of the time... cheap and worth a try... and then of course you could try italian tuneup just for kicks...

run you ecu codes or other diagnostics... it could be one of those pesky sensors...

it shouldn't be too much problem. if you are worried about being 180deg. off don't spin the cams or cranck too much when they have no belt on them. try to keep all of those things in the approximate realtions to each other.. start with TDC...also check the timing belt change sticky in the garage...

if they look shiny and new like you may re-use them but clean them and repack with new grease. new bearings are pretty cheap. make sure to get a new seal though...

is there a trick to seperating the outer CV joint? According to the manual I should be able to just hit it hard to get the whole thing off of the end but i have been pounding to no avail... getting flustered. i gotta get home tonight... help!

i just place the jack under the frame... i just don't trust the x bars... they are too ...

the tranny shop warranties their work but not the part. if the clutch would happen to go out they'll charge you new work..

local shop ought to be ok. make sure they warranty their work for a bit...i'd aks if they have ever done one...sometimes the extra $400 may be worth things like this. Nissan would have to stand behind the parts and work...

i don't know but measure the coil thickness and the distance between windings. i'd imagine there is a difference between v6 and v8 springs....there is probably quite a diffence in engines weights between them....

i bet it's about to take a crap man....sorry... you'll need an external cooler for the new tranny..

ticking could be an exhaust leak at the manifold... somewhat of a common prob....a lot of write-ups about it on this board.

check the 90-95 forum for tranny problems thread. i think that's probably your problem. is the fluid nice and red and slick, smelling sweet?

i'm 6-2 and it's just not comfortable enough. the backs of the back seats are awfull bumpy + like some of you, i just don't have neough room with all my junk in there. i normally tent it or use my cot right next to the tk with a tarp from the roof...beats the hotel anyday...aaaaaaaaaaaah, frash air...
