  1. I checked and the body mounts are tight. Anything else?
  2. Not yet. I will check them tonight. Thanks.
  3. I have a clunk sound coming from the passenger side dash (I think) on my 95 SE. I have taken the glove box out, tightened all dash bolts, adjusted the hood rubber stops but the noise is still there. Its a clunking sound like something is shifting during acceleration, stopping, or going over bumps. Any ideas?
  4. I hear you 87mudfinder. Now that the Pathfinder is 10 years old I am looking for aftermarket parts that are not only better quality but also cheaper. I only go to the dealer now for oil changes (with my coupons). Unfortunately here in Winnipeg we do not have the selection of stores that you would have out there. Hell we only have 4 Nissan dealers in the whole province!
  5. I've made the appointment for Wednesday/Thursday. The shop has no problems with me supplying the Nissan parts. Its all the same to them. On the clutch job its all labour anyway!!
  6. Just go to Walmart and buy the most inexpensive driving lights you can find and wire them up to a new switch. I must gone through at least 5 sets of lights because of hitting snow banks, rocks, etc.
  7. I decided last night that's what I would do. I can pick up the Nissan clutch kit for $300 CDN ( $225 US) from my local dealer and have a transmission shop do the install. I must have called over 6 tranny shops and they all quote the "book" time to install the clutch.
  8. The warranty is the same as Nissan - 12 months or 12,000 kms.
  9. I don't have the time or patience to do it.
  10. I have over 200,000 kms on my 95 SE and am pricing out a new clutch. Is it hard to screw up? The local Nissan dealer has upped their hourly rate to $95/hour and the clutch job is $1200! (10. 5 hours labour). A local transmission shop will charge $850. I am assuming the price difference is the hourly rate. Should I save the money and go with the cheaper shop or am I asking for trouble?
  11. I tried painting it with black car touch up paint but it didn't really make a difference. I need a paint that will stick to the glass.
  12. Thanks Denisb. I will try that. I was not sure of what size resistor I needed or if there are specific 12 volt resistors.
  13. I have an illuminated rocker switch I use for a pair of driving lights (Radio Shack PN 275-731). The red LED light on it is too bright. How can I dim the light on it. I am not an electronics guy but I assume I can install some type of resistor on the negative connection? I do have a non-illuminated switch I could use but I light having an indicator on the dash that the lights are on. Thanks in advance.
  14. Hey Pathmodifier - I too have thought about mounting a Canadian Tire cup holder in mine but I have manual. My dad made a cup holder for his 91 Stanza (that he traded in for an Altima) that fit into the pocket under the stereo and held 2 drinks. It stuck out from the dash but it never got in the way. He threw it out when he sold the car so I don't have it. I am still working on a few prototypes but its a full time job trying to fit cup holders in the 95!!
  15. I picked up a pair of cheap driving lights and mounted them under the rear bumper. I ran power from the battery through the roof of the interior with a relay triggered off the wire going to the factory backup lights. Works great! Cost me $30 in parts and a half day in labour. I am thinking of mounting the lights to the rear roof rack so they are more useful when backing up a trailer at night!
