  1. Oh but it does. The way the factory CL works is it has TREs going to it and the joint is ball joint type (basically.) The way the CL attaches to the IA and PA is through another joint (a ball join type again) that is part of the CL itself. (That is the main culprit in the failures of the steering system on Nissan trucks.) L&P eliminates the the CL BJs and you bolt it on to the IA and PA. Now what that does is, when you are riding, the CL never moves "up and down" in a circular motion when the tires encounter the obstacle., (thus the beefed up IA and PA) This also eliminates the stress on the TREs as to the angles it is almost irrelevant anyway because of the above. Basically the angle is finally fixed (as in stable) and there is no more changing angles (wobble (uneven tire wear,) pretzeld TREs)
  2. would be nice wouldn't it? you're just not the target customer trainman. most pathys and xterras are for hauling kids to futbol and gettin' groceries. that's the short of it. i was wondering however, what you mean by "locked" because i know it's not locked. thanks
  3. 150? i wish it's 250 man. it does change the angles ever so slightly but the main thing is that it does stiffen the whole deal
  4. actually it does. l&p cl fixes the angles and stiffens the whole steering. i watched phil do soem crazy stuff with his truck two weeks ago on some CRAZY rocks and even though he lost his muffler the steering took the pounding like a champ. everyone i know that has it loves it and i was going to get it a while back ago but finances made the decision for me.
  5. some maybe. i live 55mi up the road from you and sure i get a little bit of static here and there but not all the time etc..
  6. hard telling, lot's of possible noises up there man, h2o pump, alt, smog pump.. who knows.. are you getting power to the fogs? there is a fuse on the battery side on wd21, under the hood just for those.. not sure about your edition no idea on the grounding kits.. i don't have those issues.. you getting shocked kind of tells me something is touching things where it's not supposed to or it's not grounded.. the only other thing, in the doors there are some connectors that you may wanna check but you didn't mention window/lock troubles and those (connectors) seem to manifest themselves in that area.
  7. there is lots of info regarding all your questions.. use search function.. most are in the garage or year specific forums..
  8. my first guess is grounding might be your prob. something is loose and frying your stuff.. fogs: check fuse noise: you'll have to way narrow that down but maybe the tensioner pulley? know to go bad on wd21s
  9. like this? this is somewhat of a common issue especially with lifted trucks.
  10. 1. NAPA has these 5x7s for 12.99/ea that just slip in the door. paper cone and all. they are even flat.. not clarion but something very similar. you said CHEAP. 2. yeah follow the link form B 3. O2 sensor could be your trouble..
  11. thanks b, yes, i re-adjusted the star thinghy with a paint can opener.. that worked rather well actually.. everything was right on... i didn't bleed the brakes since i need a whole flush here in the nearest future.. the truck seems to be brakeing with both front and back.. i will open it all up again and report.. thanks again.. maybe it is the old tired cable now.. i'll just check that whole system this time..
  12. i forgot about this but i ended up taking the wheels back off and re-adjusting the shoes.. that worked well. BUT now (about 2-3 weeks) i am back to not having the hand brake at all.. the line under the truck seems rather slack and cocked to one of the sides.. any ideas? i may tear into it this upsoming week if i have the time..
  13. yeah but, it increases drag quite a bit and thus the MPGs go way down.. I have an XE and I have factory tire carrier... but the ones not equipped may not have the support that k9 mentioned.
  14. you have a picture of your truck? why do you need the carrier?
  15. ON means it's ON.. OFF on the other hand means that it will be disarmed.
  16. he maybe able to get his hands on all the TSBs.. if you could copy them and post up or e-mail them to me..
