  1. Depends, personal taste of course(Personally have my 31"s mounted out my 32"s mounted blackwall style)... If they all match I generally say rock the white letters. You start to chew one up, turn em around or ride the crap out of em so it looks like 3" wide whitewalls. Or one side mout them out one side blackwalls...can only see one side at a time right?
  2. plus search! I know I have seen this asked once or twice. Could be some suggestions in there adamzan forgot...
  3. Why not in todays age... In reality though, as long as everyone is doeing fine without major injuries. It may suck having to replace your truck and it's sad to see it go. At least it is somethign that is replaceabe, unlie an arm or something of that matter. Our old 'unsafe' wd21s seem to protect better than alot of the 'safe' cars I see... 'pirate investigator'? Dude, I actually don't have a comeback for that one... congradulations...
  4. I personally don't like the idea but have seen it many times(more than I want to admit sadly). Seems to be one of the commen ways that people around here make the 4x4 cars as well. (note I did say around here meanign around me, not that it is the general accepted way of doeing it). I personally only ever drove 1 frame-stacked truck (not mine) and was not a fun experience lets say...built by one of those "i'm a mechanic until I take it to a shop to fix everything I made worse" types.
  5. When you bolt 1 frame on top of another. Suspension stuff is bolted to the lower frame, driveline(besides axles) and body bolted to the top one.
  6. As long as they are not factory GM wheels. We have a bigger center hub than GM 6 lug trucks. A factory GM wheel will not clear our center hubs at all unless you take materal from the wheel out. I have multiple GM 6 lug wheels that I have tried (some I did modify centers so I would have mounted spares) you will get them on the rear, but they are not goeing to sit flush against your rotor/drum back there. Now 2wd they may fit over because I have seen lowered HBs with factory z-71 16"s on them in person, but I didn't take their centers off to see if they did anything to the hub holes.
  7. he frame stacked, with a bodylift in between!
  8. Carquest red-box since we always have 1 on the shelf at work. IIRC it's filter # B4457.
  9. CLAIM ADOPTED!!! sorry, I couldn't help it
  10. He already paid platnum price for a dealership one, might as well make it one he can use, next trip=parts store.
  11. Agree with Pezzy. Even if it's a dealership, it's not that hard to match the number on the paper in your hand from looking it up to the number on the box... No excuse for a simple oil filter.
  12. Just ignore GPG, (or is it GTG now?)
  13. None in my area or you would see me posting up for sale threads.
  14. You will see all kinds of different setups through here... http://npora.ipbhost.com//index.php?act=SF&s=&f=53 or ask FUELER, he buys a new set every other week...
  15. No jj, yours wasn't good... it inspired.
  16. Go to a junkyard with an empty pocket, leave with a couple plastic bits
  17. Well? Wheres the list of needed stuff?
  18. I run P/S fluid in my 88, not tranny fluid. My general thoughts always were power steering is not a automatic transmission(I know it can be used as P/S fluid though. I'm not against it, I just don't in my stuff)
  19. http://npora.ipbhost.com//index.php?showto...39&hl=surge Think this is the one your thinking of B, gave me something to do. See if it helps you out at all rydsno.
  20. WD21 tanks are in the rear "pocketed" between the rails so to say. D21 tanks are length-wise along the inside of the right frame rail. Fab the Pathfinder tank into the HB frame, "back half" the wd frame onto the HB, or use the trans and rad out of the HB to put the Pathfinder back on the road? (Not that I recomend it but I swear I remember someone somewhere frame stacking a Nissan. Pathfinder and Hardbody frames have to be at least close...)
  21. As long as they are cheap enough and you have to replace studs anyway, I say go for it. Like B said, a clean cut can be welded nicely.
  22. Her Members rides thing sais they are AR's, might be worth it to ask her if you want to know which model they are.
  23. Lies! I know first hand!(literally, messed my hand up good once thinking that). Most garages will have some form of socket meant to remove locking lug nuts/stripped lug nuts. That or if you have welder acess I would try Terrano1992's suggestion and put some regular lugs back on when done.
  24. It's an old TOTM pic of Slick's King, he's looking at
