  1. Having issues with the rugged rocks site? PM Steeevo on here, he'll help you out (it's his site/company). And "e" powered trucks compared to "I" powered trucks share the same frame so whoever said chassis difference was just covering their own azz by basicly saying they are "only designed for configuration, not y z or 73 (kinda like Performance Accessories saying their bodylift won't work in an auto truck where they are perfectly fine). And your truck should technically have a 1-1.5 (I forget off hand) bodylift from the factory. Hate them, you have one! Point and laugh everyone! (Kidding, but you do have a small factory one compared to a wd21 which the body lays RIGHT on the frame, one of the reasons body lifted wd21 people scavenge for some of the d21 pieces)
  2. I set mine by vacuum last time I had the distributor out... I don't think I ever had a timing light on my truck
  3. I have a 3", fuel filler needed extended (came with kit), Transfercase shifter (or floor) 'adjusted' (a shifter from a D21 HB is a little longer and may be more comfortable), transmission shifter (I have a manual) I drove for a little bit without modification until I got a HB one to replace that and shape it to my best comfort (automatics are cable shifted and all reports I remember on ere say there is enough slack), both bumpers (obviously for athestitics). Brake and clutch hydraulic lines had plenty of give, as did my rad hoses (did NOT drop my radiator) but the shroud would have needed modified (didn't run one, have e-fans now). Steering shaft had plenty of spline at the box to saftey clamp to as well. All of the "oh noes! It's more than 10 bolts and blocks!" Are not really that big a deal if you just have patience and give yourself time for factoring in if something Goes wrong. Mine was 1 evenin mostly by myself (some help from my wife) minus bumper relocation ( did the front a day or 2 later, the rear I left low for a wHile until I got a 93-95 style one)
  4. at least I know other people call the UPS guy 'Brown Santa' !
  5. Cheap mirror mount with long bolts shoved through it. It don't fit the tube but if it wasn't for the fact I didn't have a spring on the antenna, it would still be on it
  6. Get that on a jack stand instead of trusting a hydraulic jack! (I see the tire under it, I'd rather see a real jack stand thoug and being used as the support over a floor jack that looks about the size of ones I've seen fail many times over) Be persistent it will eventually give in. It is but machine, you are man, you are smarter than it!
  7. That's cause all the pics of them are already on this site!
  8. How are those shocks up front and did you get it aligned after all that front suspension work?
  9. We try to strive to be a 'don't give out bad info' type place. Sometimes a thread also gets lost to members who only use the "new posts" button and not going through every sub section. Also as said by 5523 (a trusted and well versed member around here that has helped many) the r51 is still a youngin around here so not as much traffic happens around here yet for them. It's slowly gathering more as their warranties expire and people start to do more with them and people experiment with them more. Don't be let down by lack of answers right away, we want to help!
  10. so which one is Old Greg? you sure those are 12" wide? they don't look any more bulgy than my 10s with 31x10.5s on them (which reminds me, I need to get those back...) edit: and the steering stops can be adjusted, where they were set from the factory is dependent on which wheel/tire combo you had originally but they can me set where you want after the fact (if they ain't completely gaulded into place by now)
  11. As long as she's alright, otherwise that's why we pay insurance
  12. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-XNFokmDKrE
  13. That's the only commendable part of your AWD Maxima wagon
  14. Oil pressure switch wire, prolly knocked it off during one of your pulls. Bench test even new parts if possible, especially if you don't like the chance of doing a job multipule times... Learned that one long ago and usually bites me in the azz when I get cocky and don't.
  15. They have a 4 bolt setup (using the door side rail mounts at wash sides bucket). You would lose your center console though and have to re-configure the e-brake handle setup (one of the many things holding me back currently...)
  16. Someone will be lucky here (with WhiteOwl currently down it wouldn't be fair for me to even ask, I'd rather see someone putting miles on get to test these out for you)
  17. I thought JJ used integra seats and put pathfinder rails on or something like that? Could always to a Hardbody bench conversion, just gotta do something about the e-brake handle
  18. Track bar on the front axle is a common one to seen worn out, I see that a lot from people who dot like to live/maintain stuff... As long as the body ain't Swiss cheese and the transmission is in good shape, they usually ain't too bad (local observation at least)
  19. Play that cliche circus song, light your hair on fire and run around it with your arms flailing like one of those inflatable tube man advertisements! Seriously though find a sturdy spot at the front half, jack er up till it lines up and ratchet some 2x4s to both sides. Pinch off the broken brake line and gimp it in.
  20. Recycled oil filter=back floor of a Saturn going to the crusher
  21. Which is enough reason for me In seriousness, if done minor transactions with Steeeeeeeeeeeeevo/Rugged Rocks and have had 0 issues/complaints (And gladly have his RR logo sticker on both WhiteOwl and my Blazer. I should order one for the Lebaron ). I've personally never dealt with Rocky Road so I am 100% biased with my opinion though, although if my need comes for something I can't/don't want to make myself arises again, it will be Rugged Rocks (or a factory part through Alkorahil, but that's a different scenario) taking my money
  22. Sorry for not paying atention, my mats are usually "doubled up". I have some form of factory carpet ones under the rubber ones at all times. The rubber ones are just generic ones donated from junk cars (and they rotate as I find ones I like better at that point in time). I'll look for my xterra/wd21 may comparasion pics though for you.
