Yeah... my fathers 1995 JGC Larado (however the crud ye spell it) has no radio... antenna comes up, lights go on, and there's no sound. I checked the fuses in both boxes, they're good. My only thought now is bad speakers... but all EIGHT? Yes, eight... damn thing has two in the dash, one in each of the four doors, and two in the rear hatch! None of em even buzz when the system is on... is there like, a set of inline fuses or something? The thing DID get some water inside after he... left... the windows down during a thunderstorm... look, I never said he was the brightest bulb in the pack But yeah, the onboard computer was soaked, though it works and I doubt it has anything to do with the radio... could somewhere else have gotten wet? Could the speakers be burnt out? I need ideas because for some reason he thinks I can find and/or fix the problem... when in reality I don't have too much more of an idea than anyone else that turns the system on and gets no sound *shrugs* After all, that Jeep is NOT my Pathy XD Least I know something about Shiela... Any help you can give would be GREATLY appreciated!

I'm thinking perhaps it's time for me to replace the dizzy + plugs and wires? Given they're... 18 years old...

*1990* Pathfinder Service Manual scanned to PDF!

What has the total cost been thus far, and what is your estimated total? I'm sure the members of these boards (myself included) would be more than willing to send some green your way to help recoup those costs. You have performed one hell of a service for us. -

Can... I have the entire thing for the WD-21? *blushes* Sorry, but that'd be hella helpful for me -
Why don't I just strap thermite and satchel charges to it and use an anti-tank mine's detonation cap to set off the device? Lol... damn, I just don't want to loose another mailbox, to hell with the cars that hit it, not my fault

Dizzy is dry Air filter is dry I couldn't see any "pooling" water I couldn't get the spark plug caps off I was afraid to pull harder for fear of breaking em Still stutters Meh, I'll workon it more in the mornin

My Fiance loves the pathy! She wants to buy Slick's King
-
I know what the dizzy is just wasn't sure on the wiring harness things
-
they're the plastic coated things then? The coloured ones? Sorry, the terminology is throwing me off a bit
-
BTW - can I have a quick piccy of where you mean on the wiring harness? I've never buggered around with that before *blushes a bit* No idea what, or where, it is
-
Should I disconnect them and do this, then wait for it to dry? Or can I do it, reattach them, and drive? Thing is, I need to pick up my fiance in about 15 mins

Yea yeah, laugh it up. My pathy went thru a rather large puddle tonight at a decent speed... water splashed up all over the truck and I think up thru the underbelly. I didn't see the thing so I hit it at about 30-35 mph... now her idle is all messed up and she stutters when trying to accelerate. Places I can think of water could get into/affect the engine: Spark Plugs / Wires / Distributor Rotor Alternator / Battery Vacuum System Air Intake Oil? Throttle Body? All I know is she was running great... hit the puddle... water went everywhere, and now she's sputtering a lot... idle is real rough. She didn't and doesn't stall... but... with the weather as cold as it is, I'm honestly concerned. Last thing I need is water freezing inside the engine... and I know that if water is in the cylinders it cannot be compressed and can really muck up your engine. Any ideas? Also, how would I go about removing said water? Would SeaFoam do the trick?

Natura, problem is, it didn't give me any settings like that... the control panel gave me "ON and OFF" as the functions *scratches head* I'm pretty good with computers, and I can diagnose most problems... but that thing had me stumped... *shrugs* I'll give the normal antivirus a try.

Nice... my mom has the photo card and is going to print out the pictures for insurance, then I'm getting them... they aren't that impressive, as they were taken after it all happened and most of the cars had been shoved off the road the rest of the way Our next mailbox is going to be a solid axel burried 2 foot in the ground and cemented, with the cement reinforced with rebar. We've lost 8 mailboxes in 3 years... to plows, random cars, and idiots slamming into em with pickup trucks for "fun"... I feel sorry for the asshole that hits THIS particular mailbox, hehehehe

I'm workin on it My PC doesn't have a card reader

SpyBot S&D is a pretty decent anti-spyware considering it's 100% free AVG Free has always served me well, but their virus definition updates lag occasionally. Im' about to give ESET a test *grins* 30 day trial, if it's good... maybe... but that fee is kinda high Consider we have 6 PC's in our house... well, 4 desktops and 2 laptops (used to have a fileserver till the HD went poof due to age) EDIT - Hey, Natura... you scared the piss out of me... installed ESET... and it completely shut down my TCP/IP connection... couldn't get it to reconnect for my life. Uninstalled ESET... rebooted, and it came back on fine. What int he world? It's manually configured to my router, everything is setup the way it should be... just ESET doesn't like me? PS - using the smart security suite free trial

It was a rental cruiser no less I have pictures of the aftermath... was busy stopping traffic up the road while one of the drivers (a local school gym teacher) stopped traffic from the other direction... you couldn't see the accident till you crest the hill, and by then you were on ice Only ONE injury... my father He went out to help, slipped, and cracked the back of his head. Gave himself a nice concussion... about a half hour after he fell (it took em around 4 hours to clear all the cars out of our yard) he started to loose his short term memory... called an EMS team in and we went to Hershey Med Center... like I thought, concussion. Nothing broken, no internal injuries... Go figure. The ONLY injury is the person that goes out to help... no good deed goes unpunished eh? I'll post pictures once I pull em from the camera. I have insurance and plate numbers as well... needless to say the drivers insurance of the person that took out our mailbox + yard will be paying for the repairs...

In the span of 15 minutes, the roads around my house went from just being wet, to being a sheet of ice... we had a twelve car pileup in my driveway/yard/street... including the loss of our mailbox and my pathy ALMOST getting hit by a car sliding (at 40+ mph) into our driveway (same one that took out the mailbox)... it was a damned PT Cruiser... Oh, and that SAME cruiser wiped out a spiked in railroad tie! WTF? Another 11 vehicles were involved... I quickly hid my pathfinder beside the house... Meh, what a morning...
-
I did the whole reindex... it took me 5 days due to time constraints... total WORKING time was... I'd say 7 hours for the drivers side (first one I did) and maybe 4 for the passenger side and drivers side again ( I messed up a little the first time)

Ingersoll Rand air compressors are damned good... they're industrial strength and won't quit for anything. 35 gallon tank at max 140 psi
-
Aight, stop driving it for the moment: Possible causes I can think of : Sludgy oil / Fuel - remedy - drop oil pan and gas tank, clean em out, flush the lines. Removes injectors and have them blown out, clean spark plugs, and inside of cylinders. That should remove any and all residue. Hit up a new oil and fuel filter. This is just from reading over my tech manual for my auto mechanics class... tis a possibility.

Pro Comp or Rancho? Which is betteR

Click is the relay I believe... my '90 does that too, you can only hear it when the window is at top or bottom as then the motor doesn't move and overpower the sound

I haven't even considered it to be honest... All I know is: The mounting braces on my cat and muffler are busted (wired up for the time being) And I have what sounds like a tick... but it isn't... I need to replace the O2 sensor for sure and will probably do the Cylinder Head Temp meters as well
