So I was on the beach,the 4wd was enabled to go up a steep sand hill,no throttle needed,just clutch,however at 15mph from 4h to 2h I shifted it to 2wd and the indicator stayed on not just that it felt heavier like if it was on 4wd,indicator on,it only went off on Transfer case neutral position,on 2wd it stayed on as 4wd even if it was on 2wd position,I restarted the engine to see if it would go off but no so I just drove 45mph and the light went off alone finally but I drove a lot on 2wd position and it wouldn't stop the light neither get lighter so it basically got stuck on 4wd even on 2wd postion, I didn't move it while going 45 I always had it in 2wd position since I got up the sand but the light stood there and it was heavy till that 45,fs5r30a,JDM vg33de with n-vtc,LSD I don't know what happened there but it was odd,any advice?

So I removed the valve cover on one side to see the crank sensor better,and I noticed it has 12 valves per head,its SOHC,the thing is that all text is in japanese,color,caps,parts,some parts in the interior also are,it shows miles tho,it has 24 valves in total,I noticed it gets louder past 3500 rpm something like VTEC,and it accelerates quick past that,it has a "n-vtc' solenoid which is vtec but from nissan,its a manual,its lhd altho some panels say rhd,SE limited fully equiped,bose audio,moonroof,gas shocks,electric antenna,LSD,electric mirrors,climate control,everything,maybe its a secret engine,it makes 197hp at 5300rpm and 220 lb ft at 3000 rpm,vtc at 3500 rpm,it pops I guess because of mid muffler delete,if you lift throttle past 5000 rpm it crackles,it goes 30mph on steep 35% inclines and in 2nd,still picks up speed but its scary,I overtook a 95 mustang v8,and I never go full throttle because at 1/2 0-60 in 8.9,past 1/2 8.3-7.9,full 7.5-7.2 seconds,its quick,even faster than the auto vq,closer to a vq40 than a 2001 r50,its not even supercharged yet,but with the mods I did its making 260-270 bhp,and 230-240lb ft,mods;wider throttle body,added copper for more spark,oil breather,mid muffler delete+ high flow pipe,removed y pipe and used the dual headers for dual exhaust to the back,it's just cats straight to the rear mufflers,I added beefier injectors,adjusted distributor and vtc,removed a weird thing from the factory that reduces intake flow and boom 270hp
  3. to me I might have a JDM engine because its SOHC but had 12 valves per head (extra n-vtc valves) and 24 valves,it has a n-vtc(variable valve timing control which controls lift and valves) solenoid and kicks past 3500rpm,sound changes,acceleration becomes a beast,and it revs to 7000 easily,0-60 7.5 seconds,manual fs5r30a,vg33de (not e) owner here
  4. It makes a loud horrible noise,JDM vvt vg33de 12 valve per head?,it makes a horrible scratch noise when in 1st,sometimes it refuses to go on 1st,4wd light stays on when 4wd is disengaged (STICK DRIVEN 4wd)
  5. yesterday after fixing everything wrong,it did a 0-60 on 7.3 seconds with the mods I've done,the most impressive was the 127mph top speed,track ran out

Im tired of the thing being slow, it does a 0-60 in 9 secs,so,mods I've done:copper mod spark plug,Z31 injectors,stage 2 clutch,mid muffler delete,bigger rear muffler,added a 2nd muffler to the driver side manifold and thats it but.. after thinking a lot,knowing I have the fs5r30a thats from a R32,I know it can hold that turbo,I mean the manual used in my vg pathy is that one I think all manual vg paths had it,so I think it can hold it,also,I'll add downpipe,get Z31 oil pickup lines,bigger turbo than Z31,more aggressive cams,intercooler and oil cooler,but before all that I'll get stage 2 clutch for it,this might be the biggest vg Pathfinder build yet

  8. I know im late but I'm the opposite,does the vg33e throttle body fit the vg30et intake manifold?I gotta replace my 3.3 intake because its leaking

  11. theres z31 in a junkyard like 1 mile away from me,ive also noticed a gas smell and steam From the exhaust when its cold but I don't know why

Basically,My intake manifold is not only leaking but its so annoying to do mantaince with that big intake on, I know the Z31 intake flows better this is the intake im saying,my question is, does it fit the pathfinder hood,can you use stock vg33e maf,tps,and all throttle body sensors on it, and can the throttle body from 3.3 fit that Z31 intake,and also that if it bolts to the stock head,I'm tired of hearing the hissing noise from the leak,it feels more sluggish,I gotta change spark plugs but I also wanna change intake, to replace both and make it easier to work on her

  14. Recommend Going To A Junkyard And Find A Infiniti Q45 (that has working pistons and good compression) as it makes the vg33 a vg34 and bumps from 168hp (1997-1999) to 230hp (or 170 to 232hp on 99.5-2000)
  15. All this work was done in 6 months,from fully fixing rear and front main seal oil leak (took 1 day as its the first time working on a vg) and well all this was done with hand tools, its like 50 things or more I've done mostly mechanical
  16. So,I have replaced my clutch and fixed oil leak, after that,I did mid muffler delete (performance mid muffler coming soon) and now... I'm thinking of adding a turbo to it, its a vg its gonna be hard to find turbo for it but knowing these engines are based on vg30e and vg30et its kinda easy, the thing is shes a tired old girl with 258k miles so maybe replacing cams and pistons would be good before boosting it I also know these engines don't have the best compression for boost and that they're interference engine but I'm trying to build a unique path one that's kinda cursed, I have seen turbo vq paths but vg33 turbo? I have never I thought of stancing it but when I saw how it looked I decided that I wouldn't,what I will do is add a more "street" bodykit with a front lip,side skirts and rear lip that are not exaggerated I want a fast nice looking path and obviously.. painting her, the sun in California and specially (as I'm Mexican) Baja is very strong and the entire driver's side paint is gone its just metal,It needs more than paint it needs to be fully restored, for interior mods, I live the silvia like interior all I will make is fix steering wheel as its worn, driver seat and the top of the dashboard, all I've done is maintenance (fixed oil leak,clutch,coolant reservoir and changing oil,spark plugs,timing belt,coolant and that's really it other than brake and tire maintenance) and added mid muffler delete any ideas of what I should do it are accepted

So Im replacing the rear main seal, and y'know at this point I'll change the clutch right? well the thing is I own a 1999 pathy which was vg33e and its... a 5 speed manual she's a SE Limited manual the vin says vg33de and not "e" so the thing will be that I have a rare japanese (vin starts with j) Pathy that's a SE Limited,has a manual and has a weird "de" engine now there's no clutch Kits from good brands that I see so I need a recommended clutch for her,she goes off-road but its more of a daily.
