  1. I replaced my exhaust with the Walker Sound FX series, so I can't speak for yours, but I honestly would not worry about this. It probably is close to original specs. These aren't high performance turbo engines so I can't see why it would negatively affect performance. Fitment is something completely different. The Walker pipes bolted up perfectly.
  2. Chair Table Stove Pot Sleeping bag Tent Pillow Cooler If you are going to be Sleeping in car, get some rain deflectors for the windows so you can slightly open the window and have some air
  3. Maybe a broyota guy would buy them from you?
  4. You can't run half inch spacers without longer studs. You need 1.25 in or 1.5 in spacersthat have separate wheelstuds. . Hopefully you tried installing the wheel before mounting the tires, because returning them is your best option.
  5. The ironman springs do not provide the lift they advertise. A few people have been disappointed with them. The dobinson are about the same as the OME. With that said, even with a 1" spacer on top, you will not get perfectly level unless you have some weight on the rear.
  6. That's common the the AC springs. Even when settled, they still top out. Which 1.5" spring are you referring to? I would not go above a 1" with any lift spring. The chances of binding the axle will increase and you will destroy them.
  7. Any type of lift will require a bit of work. For the struts, you will have to disassemble the the front suspension, which requires a spring compressor, hand tools, a way to press out the original top hat studs. A spring lift without spacers is essentially the same as spacer lift, you just don't need to press out the studs. I guess a spring lift is easier just more expensive.
  8. If you have the factory crossbars, you can use any standard roof basket with the included hardware to install it. The those storage bags seem to do better on baskets anyway.
  9. This is a high price for a steering rack replacement. Are you able to do any of the work yourself? Personally, I would try to get rid of it if I could not do the work myself. Fixing the oil leak may be just as expensive as the steering rack, so that is something to consider. If you are pressed for money and bought it as a beater, maybe you can get another quote and just do the steering rack?
  10. Sounds like a dead battery. You should charge it completely and then measure the voltage.
  11. Like Hawairish, I'm also using the PAC converter and it has been good for several years. I also have the PAC steering wheel remote module. That one is decent. It works perfectly when first programmed and the vehicle is off, but some buttons on the steering wheel stop working once the vehicle is turned on. I have no idea what it is, so I just live with intermittent functionality.
  12. I am personally not a fan of projector headlights, but those look great. The original look is definitely better than the painted black ones. I use HID lights in my standard housings and get extremely far throw. There is some glare but the distance I can see in the desert is better than any LED bulb.
  13. Ha, those kits a absolute junk. I would never buy something that uses diamond plate.
  14. Maybe what you are feeling is from the poly bushings being firmer and thus less damping than standard rubber bushings? Your issue could be tires, front suspension, frame rot (rust), steering components, alignment....
  15. Sad, but true. In the case of the video you posted, the knuckle needs to be supported so it doesn't damage the brake hose by having it bear the weight of the knuckle. With that said, this is not normally how "we" remove the cv axle. Normally, the axle can be unbolted at the flange and then wiggled out with the steering completely turned.
  16. Did you actually read what I wrote or did you just want reassurance for something you had already decided? I asked you two specific questions that may help determine what could have happened. Before you go blame your mechanic for something that may not have been his fault, maybe take the time to understand your vehicle and how these things work.
  17. Tough to say. It is possible the mechanic let the knuckle droop outward too much during assembly/disassembly. That wouldn't necessarily cause the cv axle to fail but it's a possibility if the joint popped out. Do you have any modifications to your front suspension? Do you notice the front end is higher (more lift) after the strut replacement?
  18. Can't see the photos. Site requires sign-in
  19. You can use the existing boot to fish a video/power wire up to the hatch door from the interior cargo area. You will have to remove the interior panels to access. I recommend you remove the spoiler to see how large the holes are for the studs that hold the spoiler. You may have enough space to run the camera wires in the same hole.
