  1. Can't help you with your questions, but it sounds like a can of worms. I would personally get rid the of the Pathfinder and look for a newer model xterra.
  2. Check out Tyler's playlist for all your questions
  3. No invite!?...joking of course, but I'm actually planning on flying back into town early April. Can't wait to see the finished product!
  4. There are several threads regarding maximum lifts and lift combinations. It's very interesting that these extended axles failed. Aren't they advertised for lifted vehicles? That means they should be perfectly fine for a 1 inch spacer.. The original axles work fine with any spring lift so an extended axle is pointless in that combination.
  5. I would flush all of the coolant with only distilled water. Drain and fill 2-3 times to get everything out, then pour 50/50 mix. Just don't leave it parked outside if the temp drops to freezing.
  6. Is it in the coolant reservoir? I had quite a hit of sludge in mine and rinsing it sort of helped but there is still some sludge in there. I'll probably just replace the tank.
  7. I was wondering where you had gone. There are just a few of us that still post somewhat regularly. You should some photos of how your r50 is currently sitting. Those extended axles are 50/50. If you are not wheeling hard, they should work for you.
  8. That's a good looking r50. I can't comment on the v8 of the r51, but I have driven a 2012 v6 d40 several times. The 6 cyl d40 definitely has much more pep to it than the r50, but what it lacks is the luxury feel of the r50 LE model. Everything inside is plastic and rattles. To me, that is a downgrade. Your r50 interior is probably on par with your LC. I personally would not get rid of it.

    Qx4?

I still recommend the 9447 springs. You will have a noticeable rake towards the front with the 9449 even when loaded. The 9447 will handle the load and still be soft enough for normal driving.

    Qx4?

As far as I know, no one knows the manufacturer of the AC springs. It could be an item made exclusively for 4x4parts. If you are set on the AC springs, you should note, they are known to cause a fairly harsh top-out when extended. Other options are OME and Dobinsons. Go with the 9447 springs. That will give you a level front and rear.
  11. A 2 inch puck will destroy any standard cv axle. We have documented that the original cv axles have the greatest operating angles.

    Qx4?

I hear you on that. I think they are overpriced everywhere, but might be worth it for modifications. It seems like you want to do the "standard" lift option. I am running the OME HD springs and I believe the 9449s. It's a solid set-up but I would go with the 9447 for a more comfortable ride if you are not fully loaded all the time. I am running 2 full size spare tires, rear cargo organization, and maybe soon, a rear winch. The 9449s are still very firm. I'm with Hawairish on not supporting 4x4 parts because they sell repackaged items at ridiculous markups. Their shipping costs are also absurd. Really, anything from their site can be found elsewhere with some searching.

    Qx4?

It really depends on the condition of the body. Is the vehicle rusted? Keep in mind the front suspension on these is not exactly robust and the strut towers are notorious for rusting through. I'm a Nissan guy so I accept the r50 is a pretty sh itty vehicle for modifications and offroading, but if I had no preference on a brand, I would have bought a 4runner.
  14. I believe you can buy retrofitted headlights on ebay for a few hundred dollars or you can source the projectors and do the work yourself.
  15. I was referring to the front control arms but new bushings for the trailing arms will definitely help with any wobble. I forgot to write that I have the k&n filter. It doesn't really do anything and the standard paper are probably better at filtering
  16. You can also do control arm bushings, tie rods, and ball joint.
  17. The fuel filler neck is on the left-hand side. I can't see how you can make more room there without some fabrication..
  18. You have to work on the suspension for a subframe drop, so working on everything at once makes most sense.
  19. I missed that small bit in parenthesis. My mistake. So, "per my suggestion", you don't want to mess with the arches. Do you know what is on the under side on the left-hand side?
  20. I believe he was referring to the plastic trim on the wheel arches that are on the outside of the vehicle. You definitely do not want to mess with the wheel well humps that are on the inside.
  21. Definitely try what Hawairish has recommended with the coil packs. I believe I was around 18 mpg when my pathfinder was stock. Now I am hovering around 13-14 mpg highway.
  22. As long as you do not mess with the strut bolts (22mm) your alignment should be fine.
  23. If you only have a spring lift, stick with the original axles.
