Brush Guard or Damage Multiplier
AlabamaDan replied to AlabamaDan's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
I agree on the lack of coverage, I just thought I’d ask as a resource for future readers. That leaves a real bumper. Problem is those are only custom build on a truck this old. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Looking to replace Interior Lights with LED's

Is this what you ordered for map lights? https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/ba9s-ba7s/ba9s-led-bulb-5-smd-led-tower-ba9s-retrofit-car/2077/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I like the Led’s around your fog and turn signals. Tell us more? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have always assumed that new vehicles had sealed parts and did not require greasing them like my old 1973 Ford did. I just thought I’d double check with those more experienced mechanics. Am I right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Brush Guard or Damage Multiplier
AlabamaDan replied to AlabamaDan's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Sounds like the consensus is damage multiplier for the big grill. What about those smaller safari bars? Same thing? I snagged to fender liners and a splash guard at the JY. MY OE splash guard disappeared sometime and I was excited to get another. If it was 1/4 steel it would be perfect, but it’s better than being naked. My fender liners were ripped out in a violent blowout. Nice to have all this back. It should help keep the engine bay clean. Which Light Bar to Choose and How to Install it?
AlabamaDan replied to AlabamaDan's topic in General Forums
I finally had some time to spend installing my lightbar today. It’s not wired up but it is mounted. Wondering around the hardware store today I came across some hinges for a door in the house and thought I might could re-purposed that. Using a saw Zaw I cut off the loops ground off the rough edges and painted it. I think it looks pretty good. Hey trip to Ace Hardware and I was able to spend a few bucks and find some nuts and bolts that worked and here we are. Now I just need to learn to solder so I can wire up the harness. I was able to find the fuse and replace it. Problem solved. Now I think I want to share away from all these eBay LED I purchased. I’m nervous. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Which fuse(s) for interior lights
AlabamaDan replied to AlabamaDan's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Maybe this will help someone else. I did not find it until I had already gone through all my fuses. Oh well it’s fixed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 1 reply

Having that part # helps. Thanks. I think I'll get what it is supposed to have.

My interior lights have gone out and since they all went out at once I assume it's a fuse, but which one?
-
What bulbs did you use and where did you guy them? Once I get mine working again I want to do exactly what you've done.

Getting Speedometer mileage from a Junkyard Find
AlabamaDan replied to Riderman's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
I took a jump box into a junk yard once and hooked up the battery for testing electronics. -
It’s at Walmart. Easy to find. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Here it is. And here’s a cool feature $100 bucks at Wally World. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Last think was that I was able to snag an OE transmission cooler from a QX4. I even got all the lines and brackets. It was originally used in line with the radiator, but I’m going to bypass the radiator altogether I think. I also have a trans cooler from a 90s Ford Explorer. If it fits the brackets I may use it with these OE brackets and hardlines. We will see. That’s a project for another day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I also had a bad headlight fixture. As you can see below it looks like water got inside and rusted the bottom or something. Made it not only look bad but very dim. So off to the JY I went and was lucky enough to find one that looked better. And installed it today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Nothing very dramatic, but a little. In installed some roof rack bars from a 2001 QX4 and a whole bunch of rail nuts so I can always have tie down points. Until I get a basket this should help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Try this one https://www.walmart.com/ip/Lifetime-55-Quart-High-Performance-Cooler-Grey-90820/850043843 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Latest present to me is a 55 quart (actually I think it's bigger than that) cooler that is rated for 7 days to keep ice from melting! I'm very excited to add this to my rig and it should make camping and hunting trips much more enjoyable. It's also 1/3 of the price of the Yeti's. Made in the USA. I was thinking about a fridge, but I don't need that and this fits my budget much better. https://www.lifetime.com/lifetime-90820-55-quart-high-performance-cooler Just thought I'd share since I'm so excited.

Wow. What does that do to driving? Vibration in the wheel? Slack in steering?

AlabamaDan replied to AlabamaDan's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
That is nice looking. How does it mount that makes it stronger? -
I think that's me.
