  1. Are you sure its not a cable issue? The dancing guage until the vehicle warms up plus the VSS code makes me think the speedo shaft isnt turning properly until the grease what little grease is left gets warmed up.
  2. It is good you are proactive before this turned out bad....
  3. 49720-32G00 07/86-11/89 VG30I+VG30E 49720-32G10 11/89-06/90 VG30E 49720-42G03 06/90-07/92 VG30E 49720-60G10 07/92-10/95 VG30E $152.13
  4. I heard my name mentioned.... early R50 and early WD22....same engine and drivetrain....about the same milege.. If you are wanting an xterra, I would go for a 2010+ N50 (second gen xterra) with the off road package. It is ready to wheel as is. very stout package IMHO.
  5. LOL 20 miles and an hour or more drive.....Nevada, Tx is right next to BFE, Tx....
  6. Never seen or heard of someone megasquirting a pathy motor. You should dyno the pathfinder before and after. I would be curious to see what the results are.
  7. 2004-2009 models.....some are prewired, some are not.....you will have to crawl underneath and look.
  8. You rang? I heard my name mentioned.
  9. I cant remember specifically on the factory radio, but I think there is a small fuse on the radio itself for the consant power. I cant for the life of me think what cutting those wires would have caused the raio to be effected unless you groudned power out when cutting into them. Either that or there is a wire you missed somewhere.
  10. Pot hole crusher, red light rusher....
  11. I was reminded of this song driving my truck around this afternoon......specifically..... Four door nightmare, trunk locks' stuck Big dice on the mirror, grill like a truck Lifters tickin', accelerator's stickin' Somethin' on my left front wheel keeps clickin'
  12. The third one is mounted to the positive battery terminal and has the other two links going into them. If you look on the positive terminal there is what looks like a connector with two female connections, that has the 4 pink wires going into it. That is the third link you need. It is plastic and either red or black. The fusible link inside the housing is most likely toast.
  13. FUN FACT: Nissan does not call it a 'fuel filter'. they call it a 'fuel strainer'.
  14. Part numbers you say? Is it avaialable? PARTS PIMP TO THE RESCUE! I ordered some for a customer back in November and they were still available then. You will actually need the following parts: 24022-84M60 LINK, FUSIBLE $10.02 NISSAN LIST: $13.58 24022-01G00 LINK, FUSIBLE $7.13 NISSAN LIST: $9.67 24021-V5003 LINK, FUSIBLE $5.68 NISSAN LIST: $7.70 You may also find you need a new battery, I would not be surprised if some damage was done to it, though it may not show up immediately...a few months later. As stated above, the ECU should be protected and ok. When you go to replace the links, pull the battery out completely (to be able to work easier-the links typically dont want to budge) while the battery is out, check your positive and negative cables, but they should be ok as well.
  15. As stated above......the 'filter' in the tank comes is part of the fuel pump. It is really just a catch bag to keep very large particles from getting in the pump
  16. Saw this on ebay, kinda cool! http://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-New-Old-Stock-Nissan-Datsun-OEM-1980-4x4-720-Brush-Guard-Bumper-99990-00533-/251072567023?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a751756ef&vxp=mtr
  17. Cool to know, so just run power to it then?
  18. fog light when on has an orange lamp I believe the heated seat switches do too when on. Rear glass does not. Alarm only does when active. shocks dont IIRC
