They do generally cost more than that, but not unreasonable. Of the orders I've done so far, I'd say $1.75 is a fair estimate of the average per LED. Comes with neat-o stickers too, for those horsepower gains. I would suggest red, I'm planning to swap one of my map lights to red (one still white for when I REALLY want to see). From what I've read, red doesn't hurt your night vision, hence why many headlamps and flashlights have a red light mode. I have pics of either my QX4 or 4Runner from the outside at night with LED's somewhere, but it'll be easier to just go take a new one than to find those, as well as some from the inside to give you an idea of how much you can see. It's a drastic improvement. I hope I see similar results with the bulbs in my climate controls, as the orange bulbs that come stock from Toyota really suck... The map and light bulbs I used were actually by another company now that I think of it, I'll try to track down who that is exactly via my Amazon history. I haven't used superbrightleds for anything significant yet, but for what I have used them for I've been pleased.

I've had excellent luck with superbrightleds.com LED's.

Nothing commercially available, and I don't think I've ever seen it done before. Definitely going to need to be custom unfortunately.

Stock wheels will require spacers to clear tires larger than 31", due to clearance with the lower spring retainer on the struts.

No, the sfcreations spacers don't account for angle as you noted, and at past 2 inches or so that angle becomes far too great to let the camber be correctable, but I'm not sure that you could even make the strut bolt to the spindle.

The offroad club I'm in uses them. They're cheap and easy, and lots of people have them. That being said, other forms of radio communication would be fantastic to transition to, but that's not going to happen overnight, so yes CB's are still relevant for offroading and will be for a long time. When I have mine on when driving around I very rarely hear anyone talk, I usually just turn it off since I never heard anything. I can put up pictures of my setup later.

Looks great! I loved the OEM ones on my Infiniti, but I agree about preferring not to put things on the paint. When I get some for my current vehicle I'm definitely going with in-channel ones, this little writeup is useful!

I had 15" steel rims on my '02 and the only issue I had was the center bore was 6mm too big on the wheels so I had to get some hubcentric rings to fill the gap (hub on the truck is 100mm, hub on the wheels I used was 106mm) which stopped some slight steering wheel vibration I was experiencing. He's probably thinking of the fact that a lot of Toyota's are lug-centric which can be a PITA when it comes to balancing, and some cheap-o steelies may not have the lug holes drilled perfectly enough or something. He didn't specify what these "issues" with the steel rims are?

Yup, on the R50 iirc none of the breathers go anywhere safe stock, although front diff may be ok, can't remember... definitely need to at least extent rear. Also should look into protecting some vital electronics.

You're right not to be concerned. It's blown out of proportion a lot unfortunately. Basically manual hubs should only be unlocked when in 2wd. ANY other mode is 4x4 in some form or another, and therefore REQUIRES the hubs to be locked. Good luck with whichever hubs you get! PS. I recommend putting a binder clip labeled "HUBS" on the 4x4 switch so that you can't forget to lock them (it took me some getting used to) and so anybody who borrows the vehicle doesn't put it into 4x4 without locking the hubs since they won't know any better...or better yet, just lock the hubs yourself before you lend the vehicle to someone else.

Does it have the ICC (Intelligent Cruise Control)? No idea what year it became available, but my 2002 had it and the cruise stopped working due to the sensor failing.

Check for rust thoroughly. Especially front strut towers, hard to see behind the strut but that's where you need to inspect.

Not without spacers, no. The issue is when you go larger than 31" the tire contacts the strut. You have to move the tire/wheel outward to give the clearance necessary for larger tires. After that you can cut to your heart's desire.

Yup, looks like the sway bar end link snapped off so it's not even connected to the sway bar anymore. Fix that and you won't be having this problem anymore! It's possible that you have another issue that's caused the sway bar end link to break, but I'd put my money on just a random occurrence.

I am unbelievably jealous of how rust-free your Pathfinder is! Pair that with this 4x4 conversion and you'll be enjoying it for many years to come.
