Hey guys I just did my cv today and to my surprise it wasnt as bad as I thought it was going to be. 5 hours for both sides. But while I had everything in the drivers side axle halfway torn apart I decided to replace a stripped stud on my wheel hub. Is there any other bolts holding the hub to the rotor? I took out all 6 bolts and I thought that the hub will just come off but I was wrong. Looking at the haynes manuals exploded view, After removing the hub assembly theres a wheel bearing lock nut that looks like it needs to come out??? Another thing is once i get it out would it be a good time to repack the bearings with high temp grease ? Thanks fellas

Wonder if that can be mounted underneath the radio where theres a pocket? Can somebody take the measurement on those please. The pitch muight be off by a few degrees tho

Thanks for the reply guys.Im going to try to configure the hub assembly.I might have put BRAKE A on backwards. or maybe its BRAKE B. I was able to see the exploded view from courtesy nissan site but its too small for me to determine how those 2 BRAKE cups go If you find it Greg id appreciate it if you can post a larger exploded view. Thanks fellas

Does anyone have a exploded view of the auto hub (90-95)? I replaced my wifes hub with the one I took out of my 93 pathy and today I decided to try the 4 wheel action and the darn thing isnt working properly. For some reason even if its on 2 wheel everytime I put it on reverse and start driving forward it will make a grinding noise and a loud thud maybe its locking??? I could not reference the hub on mine coz I already replaced it with a manual hub. Im thinking of putting a manual hub on hers but knowing my wife she would not get out of the truck to lock it if needs to. The question is, will it hurt anything if I just lock it for her all winter and just show her how to shift it on 4HI in case she needs to get better traction? Another thing is on her 94 theres no indicator light on the dash when its on 2 wheel but on my 93 theres that little green indicator lights when im on 2wheel drive..a member told me that as long as I know what drive im in that indicator light doesnt really matter Thanks fellas

Thanks red...got it replaced ..i need to put the plenum back in tomorrow morning and while im at it I might replace some of the hoses that looks real old. Also found out that the vacuum hose that gets disconnected all the time when replacing plug 6 is cracked. Thanks for the help guys

Thanks for the fast reply guys. Yes the spark plug wire still connected ghost. I knew youd come thru for me simon:D ..So its just like the plug configuration...1-3-5 on the left side looking from the front and 2-4-5 on the right? Rearmost would be the closest to the firewall right? I shouldve asked you guys first and saved me the trouble of removing the plenum..I thought for sure its 1-2-3 from the left(pass side) and 4-5-6 right side (driver side)thinking that the number 5 injector is the one directly below the plenum. Any suggestions on what I should do in there while I got the plenum out? Thanks again guys

It sounds cool tho sucking lots of air You can easily pick one up at autozone or skunks.Just bring your maf and match it up. The wholes arent going to line up.Make sure you get one that has that extra half round cutout and dont get the true square one on all sides; I found a perfect adaptor at a local carparts store here but unfortunately it has a 4 inch opening. Its made by finish line part number dap-479 Does anyone know if K&N makes a filter in 4inch opening coz I would like to upgrade my old one

Door light on when door is closed - '94 Pathfinder
PATHRIDER replied to fastskier's topic in The Garage
got it snug and thight. What I did was centered the bolt on the elongated hole on the hoop.I thought for sure that it should suck the gate in when the hoop is moved all the way towards the front but it made it worst so I kinda moved that hoops back and forth and kept trying till I get it to where its thight...Nice and thight now:D -
Warn it is...Thanks again guys... A local 4wheel shop here has em for $142..I guess thats a fair price 29091

Found out that the wifes pathy has a bad hub (drivers side) So what I was thinking of doing is pulling mine and put it on hers. Which one would you guys recommend? Warn or Mile marker? I dont have any experience with both of this brand. I think mile marker has a lifetime warranty???????

I knew it...found out that my rear hatch doesnt close tight ..it might not have closed thight before and I think my spare tire carrier is whats keeping it thight but after removing my carrier now i noticed that my dome light is flickering too and went out to check it the darn rear hatch isnt shutting thight.I shimmed the hoop before and now I even doubled it and pushed it all the way towards the front and still not thight. Any ideas guys? -

Thanks for the reply guys. m going to check the hubs tomorrow after I get the brakes inspected. Once I get it jacked up im going to inspect everything in that area also. Unc the click does change as ithe speed changes. Hope its the pads too so I can just replace it. by the way guys when we got the pathy the dealers in house mechanic told me that the ABS module somewhere in the back seat is bad.My ABS lioghts are on and do you guys think this has something to do with that clicking also? The mechanic told me that I can pick up that module for around $50 and the ABs should work. Brakes works right now but havent tried to slam on it yet

Thanks 94. I went ahead and ordered the dynomax set up. On the exhaust gasket,Is there a copper one for that app? I found the collectors gasket in copper which is this one Collector gasket and was wondering if anyone has the part number for the Y connection?
-
Finally got around ordering my thorleys and was wondering what you guys would recommend as far as muffler and cat to get. My pathy is a daily driver just like with some of you guys and I was thinking of getting Dynomax Converter Dynomax Turbo muffler Does anyone have the part number for the right gasket to use?
-
It does not make the noise when the pathy isnt running. It almost sounds like a bad cv but I already checked the cv and it mustve been replaced just resently. forgot to mention also that its a 94 with disc brakes all the way around.
