Personally I wouldn't do either unless you're going to be retrofitting projectors into your lights. Both HID's and LEDs will kinda shine all over the place and blind other people on the road since they're not meant to be used in a reflector housing. HID's will be brighter, but my halogen lights are brighter and stretch farther than the LED lights in my friend's Miata. Plus LED's will flicker sometimes and look like turn signals, judging by looking at them on other people's cars, but I don't personally have experience with them

Today I got to hang out with some awesome forum members here in Washington, Kyle, Brian, and Jake. We did a bit of cruising on dirt roads, and then ventured off into the narrow woods a bit until Brian ripped his tire on a rock. After that incident I'm definitely rethinking my decision to take my spare tire out of my car haha. Pretty soon after we hit a bunch of logs that weren't going anywhere, so we all sketchily turned around and headed back down. It was so awesome hanging out with everyone today, I really hope we can do it again soon. Now onto the important part: pictures! Alright guys I have some questions, hopefully you may have answers. First of all, pretty much ever since the move to Montana I've been getting absolutely terrible gas mileage, usually around 12 or 13 (this is correct for my tire size). I don't really know why there's such a sudden drop, because even when I had the duratracs on earlier this summer I still got 16-17. I usually drive pretty slow too, and I try to keep the rpm under 2500 as much as possible, so I don't think it's my driving. There's no way I should be getting 13 mpg driving at 2k rpm going 60 on the highway for an entire tank. Another thing, my tires keep getting extremely toed out, and I don't know why. The steering wheel also likes to pull to the right. I thought maybe this was the reason for the terrible mileage but it wasn't (I'll get to that in a bit). I really try to treat my car well and I'm a very careful driver, I always avoid potholes, I go slow over speed bumps and into driveways, and all that good stuff. The only time the tires should even have a chance to get out of toe is when I'm driving off road, which I do pretty often. After driving to glacier and back, I noticed my almost new duratracs were wearing really bad in the front (I have a little bit of negative camber on the driver side), so I got it professionally aligned at a shop before my 600 trip to the Seattle area, where I am right now (I still have to drive back). I literally got the alignment the DAY I drove over here, and it was perfectly straight and all was well. However, by the time I got here the car pulls to the right again, and the front tires are noticeably toed out again! I have no clue why this keeps happening, and it's wearing out my expensive tires that I don't have money to replace. Anybody have any ideas? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That's weird. Mine just has crossbars that mount directly to the rails on the roof, and they can slide back and forth and come off just by unscrewing a little piece. Do you have more of a top-down view pic by any chance? I can't tell if you have the same rail system my rig does directly on the roof.

I'm not sure why the quality is so terrible though, it was originally 1080p Anyway, this is a random video from awhile back at Hollister Hills, I posted pics at this same spot awhile ago. Yeah when I put my new exhaust on awhile back all the original bolts were totally seized on from years of Pennsylvania winters, and pretty much all the studs broke and I had to heat them up with a torch and bang them out. Major pita ): If it isn't too bad and you're planning on selling soon anyway, I wouldn't worry about replacing it.

Yeah he ended up really lucky, one of his mud flaps and two of his wheel center caps got ripped off in the ice, and he had to replace his battery because water froze on it and cracked it. Besides that (and a whole lot of cleaning) it turned out okay. The ice actually kinda helped because instead of having to drain out all the water from the interior we just broke up the ice and tossed it out haha. And yeah, the tank was pretty sweet. I have videos of it pulling him out, but I don't know how to share them.

Classic. Everything is so slow and inefficient. There's definitely a lot I won't miss about California (mostly government related stuff), but I'll definitely miss the redwoods and the beach. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah, the hanger thing under the car stopped working so I ripped it out. I used to keep the spare on the roof rack but it made the body roll too much. I took it out though, it takes up too much room in the trunk and it's not really worth carrying around since all the driving I do at the moment is around town. I'll probably put it back in if I go somewhere though.

Last one for today. This weekend I took a trip up to glacier, and just thought I'd share some pictures. I am SO happy with how well the duratracs do in the snow. Their performance and traction seriously blew me away. Here was my sleeping setup for the weekend. A foam camping pad on bottom, with some blankets in the middle for insulation (it got to like 15° at night), and finally the mummy bag on top that I slept in. The picture is crap because I took it with my phone and not my camera, but you get the idea. We had Friday off from school, so right after class ended Thursday I hit the road. I just listened to country music the entire drive, so it was enjoyable for the most part. Around the Missoula area it started pouring so hard that I could barely see 15 feet in front of me on the highway, so I made a pit stop at Taco Bell to get some food while the rain calmed down. Besides that it was good. I got to West Glacier around 9, and I moved my spare tire to the roof rack and some other things from my trunk to the front seats and set up for the night, watched a movie I had downloaded on my phone, and went to sleep. In the morning I got a little fire going and made some oatmeal for breakfast, and then packed up and drove to lake McDonald. I was planning on trying to hike up to Sperry Glacier, but the trail was closed because of the fire, so I continued onwards and decided to hike to Avalanche Lake instead. Nowhere near as far, but it was beautiful. I got back to my car around 4, and then drove 2 more hours all the way along the outside of the park to East Glacier since the Going to the Sun Road was closed for the winter. When I got to St. Mary's campground, I set up my bed again and got another fire going and boiled some water to make some ramen noodles, and then went to bed early. Pretty much everything except the campground was closed on the east side, so no hikes for that day. I just drove around a bit, and ended up seeing 2 bald eagles in a tree. Murcia. Onto my second topic. I've posted a couple pictures of my buddy's dark purple FJ Cruiser, hopefully you remember it. Anyway, we got into an unfortunate situation (which I won't go into detail about). Basically what ended up happening is some drunk girl took the keys to his car and literally drove it into a lake and got it stuck beyond reason. We tried to pull it out with my pathy, but his axles were buried so deep in mud that the d ring broke off of my tow hitch instead of him coming unstuck ): We took the 'L' for the night, and eventually decided to call an off road recovery vehicle to come get him out. By the time we got back up there the lake had frozen over, so his car was wedged in there pretty badly, and his interior was fully of ice as well. They literally brought a mini tank to get him out, and we got his car running and driving again with a little bit of fixing. Here's some pictures. Hey guys! I have a couple things to update and ask, but I'll do them in separate posts. I'll start with this. As some of you may remember, I ordered personalized license plates back when I lived in California. They took FOUR MONTHS to finish them, and didn't have them ready until like a week before I was supposed to leave for Montana. When I went to pick them up, they wouldn't give me the plates without registering them to the car, but they wouldn't let me assign them to my car because my registration was going to expire within 30 days, and they wouldn't let me have them unless I paid another couple hundred dollars to renew the registration, which I obviously wasn't going to do since I was moving. $100 completely down the drain. Here's a crappy picture of what they look like. I did see them in person when I went to try to pick them up, and they are absolutely beautiful. I chose 4X4NP because it kinda has a dual meaning as either 4X4 no problem or 4x4 Nissan Pathfinder. Anyway, onto the reason for me sharing this. I don't want these gorgeous plates to go to waste, so if anyone in California (the plates are located in San Jose) wants them I will sign them over to you for free. They are already paid for. The deadline to pick them up by is December 1st. Somebody please take me up on this! If you're interested, pm me and I will give you more info and we can figure out how to sign them over and stuff. Try re-aiming the headlights to shine farther down the road (higher up) before you spend any money on new ones. There should be little screws to turn on the back of the lights that should be pretty easy to adjust, and a few minutes trying it may save you a lot of money.

100% not worth the headache of doing a 5 lug conversion, and I wouldn't trust lug pattern changing spacers that big without them being hubcentric, plus even with a 2" lift your tires would rub like crazy with wheel spacers that large. It would have no chance of working without a lift without a ton of trimming. You'd be better off getting a cheap set of wheels like these paired with a set of 265/70r16 tires https://www.amazon.com/Pro-Comp-Steel-Wheels-Finish/dp/B00DJ654BW?th=1 Treadwright makes good tires for a really good price, if you're looking to stay under that $900 price range. https://www.treadwright.com/products/warden-w2617e With the wheels and tires I've linked you'll literally have 4 brand new tires and wheels for around $800, which is less money than those old Jeep wheels that won't even work with your rig, with the added benefit of bolting on and clearing with no problems without a lift.

I use Lightroom for pretty much all the pictures that I edit (I don't edit all of them). It definitely gives the most freedom to bring out the lighting and colors of your pictures in the easiest way. There's an iPhone app for Lightroom as well, and unlike most photo editing apps it lets you do a lot.
