  1. I wonder too. If I had an extra 4 grand sitting around I'd drive there and buy it right now lol
  2. Here's the rig I'm thinking about getting: https://seattle.craigslist.org/oly/cto/d/chehalis-97-nissan-pathfinder-5-spd-4x4/6815338228.html Also, as I was browsing I stumbled upon this beast: https://prescott.craigslist.org/cto/d/prescott-valley-1994-nissan-pathfinder/6799267827.html
  3. Yeah that'd be sweet! Only if you're already driving by though, you don't have to go out of your way to do that
  4. Hmmmm maybe. You have a picture of it? You're really not that far away from me
  5. Not really. There's a few but there's not many Nissan's in Montana
  6. I use castrol high mileage full synthetic 5w30 every 10k miles. Never had any problems. I always use the same oil but I use whatever filter is cheapest lol
  7. Well folks, had an awesome day yesterday, but my transmission started slipping pretty badly. It won’t go over 45 mph anymore. It’ll still rev, slowly, but I won’t go anywhere, and when it does finally shift it freakin bangs into gear. Anyone have one to sell me? I’m looking into buying a tan pathfinder with a 5 speed with higher mileage and running it into the ground and then putting in a new clutch/rebuilding the tranny and swapping it into my red one. I’m all ears if anyone’s got suggestions! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I had a similar noise to what you were talking about and thought it was the sway bar links. Those weren't the issue and made no difference. Turns out the strut mounts or top hats or whatever you want to call them (made of two pieces pressed into each other) had completely come separated and were making a lot of noise. You could try pulling your struts at real quick and seeing if they the two pieces can move independently from on another, which they shouldn't. If that isn't it you can also check your camber bolts. If those aren't tightened down properly they can slide around a bit and make noise too. I made that mistake once. Also, where in Montana are you from? Good to see some other representation from real America on here!
  9. Posted these in another thread for their exhaust clips, but might as well throw 'em up here to just so I keep my thread updated. It's been mighty cold here lately. Hasn't gotten out of single digits all week, and won't for another week, and it hasn't gotten above zero since before Sunday. First video is from Monday, right after I started it up. Second video is from over the summer.
  10. Here's what it sounds like coming from a distance under a little throttle. Sounds pretty nice when you accelerate but it's dead silent at cruising speeds somehow. Literally no drone at all on the highway, until you start going uphill lol
  11. Will do. Probably won't happen for awhile though, I'm pretty happy with how it is right now and I have better things to spend money on... like food lol
  12. I've had one for quite some time now and to tell the truth I don't really notice it. They're honestly over-hyped if you ask me, but there's really no reason not to do it seeing as to how easy it is. Granted, I did put it in at the same time as I put in new rear springs and shocks, so the car definitely felt different after, but the link itself didn't really stand out specifically.
  13. I've got the stock dual piping into 2 spiral chamber mufflers into a y and then out to the back. (Think glasspacks only with an italian pasta noodle inside) It sounds super duper nice but isn't loud at all. If you want a video of the sound while it's actually driving let me know, I can upload one.
  14. Yeah I would leave my 3/4in spacer and just upgrade to AC springs. I'm pretty much at the perfect height in the rear, but I'd like an inch or so more in the front. My tires don't rub at all or anything, and there's honestly not a very good reason to go with AC over what I have now performance wise, but it would sit a little more level, which I'd like.
  15. Since you’re only one state away I could give you my current front springs + strut setup if I ever end up going with ac springs for a bit more height in the front Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. It's still on the factory crossbars. I explained it on the last page. I also flipped the roof rack mounts upside down, I think I left that out.
  17. The issue at hand isn't exactly the height itself, per-say. The issue is the cv's being able to extend (droop) farther than they were designed to. You can (theoretically) stick as large of a lift coil you want into the strut and get as much lift as you can out of it until it (the strut) reaches it's max extension and then tops out on everything, but you cv's won't bind up. Why? They are still within their range of operation. Cv axles are designed to function within the range of full compression of the strut to maximum rebound of the strut, from the bump stop all the way until top out (+- some wiggle room). There are certainly other factors that influence this, like wear and tear, but your cv's will never bind up and blow out. It's spacers that are the problem. Since a spacer adds lift on TOP of the strut, rather than within in, you're basically extending the total amount that your wheels can drop past the limit that the car was designed to operate within. A spacer around an inch or less is usually okay, just because of that extra wiggle room, but anything over that will allow your cv's to drop past what they are capable of handling. That's why I will never ever even consider using any sort of spacer over an inch on any vehicle that I plan on actually using. Sure, if you literally never touch anything besides smooth and perfect pavement, a spacer probably won't give you any problems. However, most of us on here have built our rigs to go to pretty much the opposite of that. Running any spacer over an inch is going to hurt your performance and make your car worse off road, not better. Like Dean said, if you plan on ever driving off pavement, you're not gonna want to rely on spacers.
  18. Ah shoot, you're right. Scratch that one then lol. I honestly don't know why anyone would buy (or make) a 2wd suv. I don't really see the point to them. Less capable than a fwd car with good snow tires if you ask me
  19. Yeah, Kyle has! (ferrariowner123). If you scroll back through this feed there should be pics of it
  20. I was gonna say I know that road! lol Kent, when are you gonna come visit Montana?!

They all look almost just as nice and are in similar condition for way less money
