  1. Wanna donate a set to the Micah's smashed rocker panel foundation?
  2. Shut up Matthew ??you're just jealous
  3. I bet whoever took this picture was pretty cool ?
  4. Yeah there are so many different landscapes out here just by driving a little bit, its awesome. And yeah I'll probably do it sometime soon here, I think having longer ones (mounted to the body instead of the axle) would help keep the spring from totally falling out too haha The fact that that a piece of that driver side bump actually broke off, making it shorter, may have something to do with it.
  5. Yeah I need to figure out something to keep if from doing that haha. I think if I swap my bumps to the top it'll keep them from falling out when it unseats. And yeah it was a super rad trip
  6. The answer is yes Aaaand a little something to remember the trail. There’s now a random boulder with a nice red stripe on it in the middle of the woods now. Time to build some sliders! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. These are from Saturday last weekend. Notice something out of place here? I let my friend drive it so I could make sure the springs seated back in properly haha We got back kinda mid afternoon and hung out in the hammocks the rest of the day. No trees? No problem. The next day we went shooting and did some more wheeling and my buddy rode his dirt bike behind me once we were up in the mountains. Bilsteins doin work [emoji1377] And I’ve reached the picture limit so I’ll continue in another post Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Haven’t been on here in a bit, so I figured I’d throw up some pics from the last couple weekends. Also I don’t think I mentioned it on here yet but I switched to AC’s up front and am running Land Rover 9448’s in the back now with a pretty long travel bilstein shock. Long enough that I can swap springs on the trail [emoji23][emoji1598] Anyway, here’s the pics. I think I’ll split them up in a few different posts for each trip Here’s my car camping setup. Don’t judge the flowers, it was free haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I would just put LED's in your factory housings. They're bright as heck. https://www.amazon.com/HIKARI-Headlight-Conversion-Kit-9004-Adjustable/dp/B07GKKJ9M4/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=hikari%2Bled%2B9004&qid=1556850129&s=gateway&sr=8-4&th=1 I use this brand in both of my cars. If you order them you will not be disappointed
  10. Yo dude welcome to the forum!! I'm from Bozeman, if you ever want help on anything or wanna go wheel some weekend I'd totally be down to hang!
  11. I love the polks though, I run them in both my home theater system at home and in my car and they are absolutely outstanding when it comes to sound quality. I don't personally run an amp, so it isn't crazy loud but the clear crisp quality is there and it's good enough for me.
  12. They're called tweeters. I run all Polk Audio dB651's in my door speakers and whatever the matching series tweeters are in the A pillars. They make both a shallow mount one and a regular one and the regular ones fit fit, so I don' think depth is an issue. The only thing about replacing the tweeters is that literally nothing is going to fit in the original bracket, and some (like mine) are thick enough that they make the speaker grill thing bulge out a bit when you snap them back on
  13. Yep Tyler’s right, it’s not a typo. Hence the new post with new measurements. I’ve got 9448’s in the back now, ac’s with a .5” spacer up front. No wheel spacers. My wheels are American racing 16x7 with 4” backspacing I got off a 4Runner. They still sit inside of the fender flares which is awesome so I’m not chucking rocks at my paint which is nice ? I’m not a huge fan of the stanced look with wheel spacers
  14. Yes, Alex is spot on. Your cv’s up front are designed to operate within factory geometry, which basically from full compression (at the bump stops) to full extension (strut top out). Putting a lift coil inside your strut assembly may increase the frequency that you hit that top out, or full extension of the strut, but even with the increased angles your cvs are still within the stock operation angles that they were made to function within from the factory. With spacers, however, since you’re moving the entire strut assembly down 2,” your cv’s can now extend to your struts full extension PLUS that 2,” causing them to bind up and break. Yes, the angle that the cvs sit at on the road are gonna be equal, the problem is with actual off road use they can drop passed the angle they were made to operate within if that makes sense. That aside, we’re all human and all make mistakes regardless of who’s right or wrong. Everyone’s trying to just help each other out here and sometimes things can get miscommunicated, so let’s try and keep the personal attacks off the forum. We’ve got a really great community here of a ton of awesome folks.
  15. I'm going wheeling with him this weekend so I can find out and get back to you later tomorrow or Sunday probably
  16. My buddy runs one of those with the e fans and I know he's happy with it, I would go for it.
  17. Yeah true... I was just thinking about the difference between my two, kinda overlooked that lol. Sure wish I had those extra ponies lol
  18. Your question is already answered lol but for future reference (if you're looking at junkyard rigs or whatever) the vin plate on the firewall will say either HG43 or HG46 on it. HG43=4.36's and HG46=4.63's
  19. Ah, good catch. I've still got the half inch spacer that I got from Dean in there
  20. Sure you can get along fine without gearing, but your life will be a lot better if you do. If you have the HG46 (4.63) already then you're set. If you have the HG43 right now (4.36) it would definitely be worth your while to locate a set of the 463's to swap in. To give you some perspective, my tan rig (5 speed + 463's) can hold 80mph in 5th gear coming home from work on the highway. Doing the exact same drive in my red one, it loses speed if you're in any gear higher than 3rd and will only hold 75 tops (in 3rd). This mostly shows that the automatic sucks, but the gearing does make a big difference. My buddy Doug just put 32's on his and you don't even notice the size difference with the manual and 463's, whereas theres a huge loss in power with the auto and 436's
  21. 9448’s in back, ac’s up front. 32” tires Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
