  1. $1800 for an R50 like that?!! Here you can barely find a stock one asking less than $3000. I don't think I've ever seen a modified r50 for sale. There's a SAS wd21 that's been up forever, but they're asking like 6K. Crazy Californians haha
  2. These are from the lookout at the very highest point at Hollister Hills. Stance life #lowered #cambergang #tuckinghardbro I'm including a lot of these to show how much it can flex now with the sway bar gone. All 4 tires were still on the ground, but the shocks were pretty much fully extended and my passenger rear tire was forced into my fender flare like crazy. The body was perfectly level. It was an amazing view, but we didn't get to enjoy it as much as I would have liked because a heard of JKU's swarmed in with their shiny wheels, hard tops and windows up and started having a vape party. #gobacktothemall On another note, I have officially decided I don't like the newer tail lights and I'm going to put the old ones back on. They'll match way better with my license plates when I get them, if they ever come. It's been over 2 months already. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. The sway bar delete was helpful up to the point where the shocks maxed out. I would highly definitely recommend it to anyone who wants better articulation for free. We didn't do anything too crazy since it was my friends first time wheeling his open diff 4Runner, but it was a still a blast. At the beginning there was a whole group of fire trucks training at the obstacle course which was awesome to watch. A question to anyone who's been to hollister: do you guys know about the cave on one of the trails? I forget what the trail was called but there was a cave with a really short narrow opening that went super far back into the mountain. We went in a little ways but didn't have very good lights so we turned around. It was honestly really eerie feeling. Anyway, on to the pictures! (None have been edited yet) ^ notice his face? He dragged his trailer hitch pretty badly on this one. ^ pretty surprised I was able to go through that rut in 2wd. I think I'm close to the picture limit, so I'll continue in a second post. 4. If anyone wants to come along to Hollister hills tomorrow hit me up!! Everyone is welcome.
  5. Quick update!! Ever since I plasti dipped my emblems black I've regretted it and wanted to take it off, so today I spend a couple hours scraping all of the not-enough-coats of dip off the emblems. I'm so happy I finally did, because it looks sooooo much better with the normal chrome, especially with the new lights. Another small mod/project I did today was a rear sway bar delete. I had been spraying the bolts with wd40 for quite some time now every so often, but they were still pretty tough to get off (thank you Pennsylvania winters). It slid out without too much effort once all the bolts were off. I went for a short test drive afterwards on varied types of roads: through my neighborhood, slamming on the gas while u-turning, normal speed on a curvy back road, 60mph on the highway, and taking the exit ramp way faster than necessary. To my great surprise and excitement, there is absolutely no loss on on road performance. The car felt exactly the same during my test as it did with the sway bar on. No extra body roll, no more axle wobble than usual. In fact, it even got rid of the annoying rattling noise my rear end had been making for years. Tomorrow I'm going up to Hollister Hills again with a buddy who has a 4Runner, so I'll see what gains it may have off road. Only some bad iPhone pictures in this quick post today, sorry. 6. Yeah that's what I was afraid of. Such a bummer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I don't think it's the same. I already know the facelift marker lights won't fit, I'm just looking for the specific ones that have a little black in them like this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Let me know if you find another set.
  9. Doesn't look purple at all in the picture haha
  10. For a long time now I've had an extra set of tail lights from the facelifted Pathfinder sitting around, and I decided to put them in the other day just to see how they would look. After I put them in I realized that the faded red on the outside of the tail lights looked absolutely horrible against my red paint, so I painted the outer part black just as the original lights were to make it look better. I really really like the look of them, but I'm not certain I'm going to leave them in yet. They look really nice and make the whole back of the rig look newer but something just isn't right. Maybe it's just the black emblems I don't like. Idk. I've always liked the 3 color lights with the orange turn signals, so I may eventually put them back on. The only money I've invested in this is $7 for a new bulb in one of the new tail lights, so I don't really feel obligated to leave them in if I don't like them. Let me know what you guys think. On an unrelated note, I really like the side marker lights with the black in them from one of the earlier qx4's. If I ever found some in a junk yard do you think they would fit/look right on my Pathy? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Nice looking r50! I love the blue. Haven't seen many in that color. When you say desert truck do you mean along the lines of a prerunner? I've always wanted to see a long travel r50 (: Anyway, welcome to the R50 squad!
  12. Where this may be true in most cases, it was not with mine. I specifically told them I had camber bolts that would need adjustment, and they simply neglected both to adjust and tighten them properly. They got it within camber spec, but it started changing and shifting as soon as I drove out of the lot the first time. This is not the first place that hasn't known a thing about Pathfinders or camber bolts. In my experience, it's best to do things yourself if you want to be 100% sure it's done correctly.
  13. I'm curious wether or not those marker lights would fit with my headlights. They look really awesome.
  14. Another update coming soon! I did a little project today, but didn't have time to take pictures yet, so I will post on it once I can take some.
  15. They were 1.25 inches I believe. My fender lining is already trimmed, and I run 265/75r16, which is over an inch bigger than yours in both height and width. And thanks! They definitely will keep coming haha
  16. For the second part, a friend of mine recently picked up a '91 300zx. It still needs a lot of work but it's been fun so far. I took some pictures of it the other day and they came out pretty good. The thing is soooo low that it scraped on the 1/2 inch raise into my garage and left a huge gash in the concrete, and there was no way to get a heck to fit under it so we had to drive up on a curb to get underneath it. 17. Lots to update here, so I'll split it into two parts to make sure all the pictures work this time. First off, I got some wheel spacers for free, and I put them on and I'll tell you what, they looked great. However, they weren't hubcentric and they also made my tires rub, so I took them back off. 18. The same exact thing happened to me when I installed my new struts and springs. It seems shops are completely clueless when it comes to camber bolts. When I noticed mine were changing the first time, I took it back to get it redone (because it was free), and the same thing happened. The manager literally had to have me tell his mechanic how to do it correctly and then offered me a job lol. Moral of the story, if you want it done right you have to do it yourself.
  19. Thank you man I appreciate the compliments! They will look awesome with your 5" lift, I'm a big fan of the tall but not too wide look.
  20. Ohhh THAT. That was my in my friend's VW buggy. It was originally a bug, but it had a chopped frame and a tube chassis and mud tires. It was pretty sweet, but he sold it. I was just helping him work on it.
  21. My place of work, for those who didn't know. The lighting was pretty good so me and a coworker snapped some pics after we closed today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Those are 265/75r16! Basically a complicated way of saying 32x10.5r16 lol. They cleared with the stock suspension with the same trimming as needed for 31's, and they fit absolutely perfect (like they were made to be used together) with the OME coils. They don't look small or big at all, it looks like they were meant to fit on the car, if that makes sense.
  23. Yes, no more negative camber because of the blown struts!! However, to account for the added height with the HD OME coils, I did run two sets of camber bolts. Exactly right. If you have positive camber, bigger springs will make that worse, and you'll want camber bolts. If you had an issue like mine where the camber is negative or actually constantly changing between negative and positive, it's highly likely it is the struts that's the problem. What would I recommend for you based on my limited knowledge of your situation? It look to me like you're running into issues and want your setup changed to fix those. If you want to fix whatever is wrong and add a little height, I'd say get new struts, HD springs, and camber bolts. You'll also want new top hats/strut mounts/bearings when you replace everything. Definitely let me know if you are gonna go this route though, as I will look up which strut mounts to NEVER BUY BECAUSE THEY FELL APART ON ME (Dean will know what I'm talking about).
