  1. 1) I ride pretty much completely level with the HD springs up front with KYB struts and no spacers 2) No, not unless you're getting bigger tires. In the case that you are, you can fit up to 265/75r16 (~32x10.5) without any problems. You'll want to trim a little bit of your plastic fender lining if you're running anything above 30" and don't want to rub while reversing or flexing. You can go for as tall of a tire as will fit, but nothing over 10.5" wide is going to clear the strut without wheel spacers. I would also recommend taking off your splash guards if you haven't already. Honestly for the extra ~$250 I would just get some cheap 16x8 steelies with less backspacing. It will save you having to get them later on, and it will improve the look of your rig 100x more than a lift will. Your bolt pattern is 6x5.5. Anything with 4" backspacing or less should be fine. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/vsw-84h6883ns/overview/ 3) Absolutely anything except KYB bearings. I've heard they are terrible. I just got the cheapest replacement I could find on Amazon and they work great. Good luck with the install! I'd love to see some pictures when you get everything on.
  2. Alright guys, after over a month my springs finally came and I've had everything installed for a couple weeks now, but I've been having some problems. I've had to get it aligned twice because even though I tightened them initially the alignment place for some reason thought it was a good idea to tighten them without also holding the other bolt on the back of the struts. Now the camber seems to be fine but my steering wheel seems to be pulling to the left when I let go of it, but sometimes it's perfectly straight. Alignment guy said it was my tires, but it never did that before. Also, whenever I go over a bump or turn the wheel too fast there is this awful popping/clunking noise coming from the passenger side front, but I don't know where. It doesn't sound the same as when the struts top out, and I thought it was the sway bar end link binding up or hitting on something so I ordered some new ones on amazon as well as sway bar bushings to see if the noise would go away. I just put the end links on today (Didn't feel like doing the bushings yet), and the noise is still there. However, my steering seems to not pull left as much lol, maybe it's just wishful thinking though. Anyway, do you guys have any ideas?
  3. Bringing up an old thread but I'm in the Bay Area and want to meet up with local pathfinder owners
  4. Not sure if I've found this page yet, I live in Milpitas but am usually in the south San Jose/Almaden/LG/Saratoga area (I work at Bass Pro and go to school at West Valley College). I drive a red '96 r50 with OME springs and 32's. I love the Pathfinder community (scarce as it is) and want to get to know some of you local Pathfinder owners better. I really want to arrange a Bay Area meet up, but I don't know who to ask. Who would be down? As far as modified rigs I've seen in the area, I've see a green r50, a tan r50, and a red wd21 in Santa Cruz, a silver qx4 with a roof basket in los gatos (also seen on almaden expressway a few times), a silver r50 on i680 in milpitas, and a blue r50 on 280 in san jose. If any of these are you guys, we should definitely meet up! My instagram is @micahfelker for those of you on there. I post lots of pictures of my car lol, and it's an easy way to reach me. Let me know how many of you are interested in a meet up!!

  6. Are you still in the bay area? If so we should have a meet up!
  7. I ordered all my parts and mostly everything has come except for the springs. I got the HD OME coils from rocky road, but I haven't received a shipping confirmation yet, and when I try to check the status of my order is, it says that they haven't received the payment, even though I was already charged. I sent them an email but no reply yet. Anyone have similar issues? What should I do?
  8. Bringing up an old thread, but the site seems to have disappeared. I'm interested in buying the SFD and everything from you if you still have it available. Thanks!
  9. Tire carrier looks great! Do you plan on relocating the licence plate? Might want to do that before you get pulled over haha. Also, are those Toyota wheels? They fit your car really well!
  10. Dude that headlight tint looks AMAZING but I can't imagine they light up the road very well at night. How is the light output form them?
  11. Yeah i expected so. I'm going to end up going with the 1" spacer in the front plus the springs. I'll post pics once I get them on, should have time over spring break
  12. I would go with the kyb gr2's. Part numbers 335015 and 335016.
  13. Well the lift seems to have disappeared from BDS's website. Bummer. I'm just gonna end up going with the AC springs and KYB struts and shocks, along with Warn hubs. I'm also thinking about getting one of fleury's spacers from sfcreation.com (just 1") to go in the front to keep it level after the springs settle. It got me thinking: what if I combined the max spacer lift (2.5" front and 3" rear) with the AC coils to get high enough to clear 35's? I doubt it would be possible or safe to do without a subframe and panhard drop, along with longer brake lines, most of which I can't afford or don't have the means to do. What do you guys think? I'll probably stick with the AC coils and the 1" front spacer.
  14. Okay so I'm going to order the springs as soon as I get home today, along with kyb front struts, manual hubs, rear shocks, and possibly some 2" wheel spacers as well. What rear shocks do you guys reccomend with a 2" lift? Also should I replace the strut top hat and bearings as well?
  15. Yeah I had the same exact thought. It's probably just not a picture of the actual springs. I'm probably going to end up trying them since they're so much cheaper than any of the other options, so once I get them I'll definitely throw up some pictures. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I've been looking at (or trying to find) lifts for my '96 r50 for quite awhile now and I came across something that I haven't seen anywhere on the forums. Here it is: http://bds-suspension.com/product?kid=799H It looks to me like the springs are shorter than the ac lift just going off the pictures, but it's much cheaper which is a huge plus for me as a college student haha. Anyway, do any of you know if these are any good? Anyone have any experience with them? I was thinking about getting them at the same KYB struts and shocks on Amazon, considering they're any good. I'd also get some warn hubs. https://www.amazon.com/KYB-335015-Excel-G-Gas-Strut/dp/B000C44C44/ref=sr_1_11?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1480618509&vehicle=1996-67-893------------1-0&sr=1-11&ymm=1996%3Anissan%3Apathfinder https://www.amazon.com/KYB-343388-Excel-G-Gas-Shock/dp/B000EQCHBU/ref=au_as_r?_encoding=UTF8&Make=Nissan%7C67&Model=Pathfinder%7C893&Year=1996%7C1996&ie=UTF8&n=15684181&newVehicle=1&s=automotive&vehicleId=1&vehicleType=automotive https://www.amazon.com/WARN-29091-Premium-Manual-Hubs/dp/B000CQDPIQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1486886096&sr=8-1&keywords=warn+manual+hubs+28+spline I'm running 265/75r16 tires right now, and I'll hopefully be able to step up to 33's after I figure out what to do for a lift. I just want my rig to sit higher and get rid of that awful rake i have right now with my 20 year old springs and struts haha. Also I'm sorry there's probably a million threads on this but I figured I'd mention it while asking about the BDS springs. Is there anything else besides what I've listed that I should get or replace when I do the lift? Also let me know if you know anything about the BDS springs. Thanks!
  17. Good to have you back! I think I follow you on instagram haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. For the last couple days my alarm has been going off every single time I unlock the driver side door with my key. I never got a remote so the key is the only way to open the car. It only does it on the driver side door though, so I've been just using the passenger door to unlock it. When the alarm goes off it refuses to turn off no matter where I put the key, so every time I forget and unlock my driver door the alarm goes off and I have to wait like 2 or 3 minutes before it shuts off and I can open it from the passenger side. I keep a wrench in my car now so every time it happens I can disconnect the battery to make it shut up instead of waiting for it to shut off. Does anyone know what the problem might be? I'm thinking about just pulling out the fuse for the alarm, but I'm not sure if anything else important is wired to it. Let me know if you guys can help! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I just pulled off all the plastic outside parts of the rear bumper but I can't get the metal part off because it's bent on one side right where the bolts are and I have no way of accessing them. I may use this opportunity to build a custom rear bumper or just replace it with on from pick and pull, but I can't do either without getting this one off. Anyone have any suggestions? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I love that bumper! Is it custom or did you get it somewhere?
  21. Kind of bringing up an old thread here but has anyone tried to run glasspacks?
  22. Are you in the bay area? I think I've seen you driving around a few times around s. park victoria drive and near 680.
  23. Some pictures I took up in the hills last week Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Welcome to the pathfinder crew! Your pictures are really great and so is your rig. Those 15x12's look sick as well. Are you actually driving on them or did you just test fit it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
